Yuri and Katrin Shumakov are professional origami artists and members of íhe OrígamiUSA society and the British Origami Sociely. They created a big exhibition of a fantastic paper world, 'Oriland' that consists of eight kingdoms wilh castles, distinctive architecture, beings, and plants. Also, they invented 'Oribana' - a branch of origami consisting of the creation of flower arrangements. They are the authors of several origami books and CDs. Their origami models have frequently been published in Japan, Russia, France, Hungary, United Kingdom, and USA. Their origami designs have been exhibited in the USA, France, Japan, Russia, Sweden, and Singapore. Yuri and Katrin Shumakov are also recognized web designers, having done Internet projects including the multiple award winning Oriland.com website. Psychologists by education, their Ph.D. scientific work showed children.
