*Look. [mini-rant time, yay!] The first soprano line at m. 19-25 is written so the section carries the classic, well-known melody. This can be all first sopranos, or even a soprano solo if the director decides. Now here's where the problem arises: People like to add their own little Mariah Carey/Ariana Grande/whatever little runs and flairs to it. For the love of your God or lack thereof, don't. Please don't, it ruins the song. I mean, if you wanna do that, either a) sing gospel or b) put on a voluptuous wig and pretend to be Beyoncé in the comforts of your own home. But not for Lennon/McCartney. It just doesn't work. *also look: please tune the chords well. it's jazz, ok? you know what untuned jazz sounds like? musical divorce court, it's awful.
