“Curled Dock (Rumex crispus), also known as Curly Dock, Yellow Dock, Sour Dock, Narrow Dock, sometimes as "narrow-leaved dock" (which properly refers to a variant of Sorrel), and ambiguously as "garden patience", is a perennial flowering plant in the family Polygonaceae, which is native to Europe and Western Asia. The mature plant is a reddish brown color, and produces a stalk that grows to about 1 m high. It has smooth leaves shooting off from a large basal rosette, with distinctive waved or curled edges. On the stalk flowers and seeds are produced in clusters on branched stems, with the largest cluster being found at the apex. The seeds are shiny, brown and encased in the calyx of the flower that produced them. This casing enables the seeds to float on water and get caught in wool and animal fur, and this helps the seeds to spread to new locations. The root-structure is a large, yellow, forking taproot.” –excerpt from Wikipedia In order for you to access the energy of the Yellow Dock Plant easily, I’ve channeled an attunement that you will be able to receive after your teacher sends it out to you. An attunement is a dose of energy frequencies that ‘match’ the energy of this energy system in general, and each function or empowerment specifically. You may or may not feel any sensations, it doesn’t matter if you feel these subtle energies. They are effective no matter whether you perceive them or not. Some people feel a warmth or tingling sensation, others notice pulses. In this way, you are calling upon the Yellow Dock Plant, asking Her energy to arrive unto you and assist you in whatever way is most needed and best for you at this time, today. Many people have felt her energy as a warmth that seems to begin within their extremities, their hands and feet. This warmth then expands to their organs and increases blood circulation. Both Her leaves and roots contain nutrients that help build strong blood if taken internally as a food or food supplement. Yellow Dock Leaves are used for salads in small quantities. It is not recommended to eat a lot of them as there is oxalic acid in them that can irritate the urinary tract and contributes to kidney stone development. Yellow Dock, also called Curled Dock grows in roadsides, all types of fields, and low-maintenance crops. It prefers rich, moist and heavy soils. It can be used as a wild leaf vegetable; the young leaves should be boiled in several changes of water to remove as much of the oxalic acid in the leaves as possible. Once the plant matures it becomes too bitter to consume. Most people in the Northern Hemisphere consider the leaves to be food only through May. Yellow Dock leaves are an excellent source of both vitamin A and protein, and are rich in iron and potassium.
