Kabbalah is a tool given to humanity to bring us together for a higher purpose.
WE NEED THIS WISDOM NOW.
A Brief History of Kabbalah The wisdom of Kabbalah has been passed down to us by Abraham, Moses, and the other patriarchs and matriarchs of The Bible, and by the great kabbalists of history, including Rav Shimon Bar Yochai and Rav Isaac Luria. Indeed, one of the most important aspects of Kabbalah is the passing of its teachings from master to student over many generations — and today it is Rav Berg who carries on the legacy of Kabbalah by bringing its wisdom to the world. For millennia, Kabbalah was suppressed by those who didn’t understand it, and even the ancient kabbalistic sages chose to keep their knowledge hidden. These great kabbalists realized that the time was not yet right to make this wisdom available to humanity in general. Meanwhile, intolerance and fear caused those in power to criminalize the study of Kabbalah and to persecute those who dared to undertake it. But throughout this long era of repression, kabbalists always understood that a very different time was coming -- a time in which the world would at last be prepared to receive Kabbalah, and free to do so as well. A crucial milestone in a new era was reached in 1922, when The Kabbalah Centre was established in Jerusalem by one of the greatest kabbalists of the 20th century, Rav Ashlag. The Zohar In simplest terms, the Zohar is a commentary on the Bible, structured as conversations among a group of friends, scholars, and spiritual masters. But the reality and power of the Zohar far transcend the limits of the physical world. Zohar is a Aramaic word meaning “splendor” or “scintillation” — and the Zohar is literally an unlimited resource of brilliant spiritual Light.

What You Desire
Did you know? Michelangelo’s David, sculpted from 1501 to 1504, is a masterpiece of Renaissance sculpture and one of Michelangelo’s two greatest works of sculpture, along with the Pietà. The 5.17 meter (17 ft) marble statue portrays the Biblical King David at the moment that he decides to do battle with Goliath. It came to symbolise the Florentine Republic, an independent city-state threatened on all sides by more powerful rival states. This interpretation was also encouraged by the original setting of the sculpture outside the Palazzo della Signoria, the seat of civic government in Florence. The completed sculpture was unveiled on 8 September, 1504. This article is licensed under the GNU Free Documentation License. You can have it all.
We All Have the Desire: 1. To Receive 2. To Share
How deep is your commitment to get what you really want? FOCUS on: (1) what you want; (2) how you will get there; (3) how you will battle the challenges along the way.
Litmus test for true fulfillment When people are truly fulfilled, they want to share with others. And when you are naturally sharing, you are fulfilled.
The essence of fulfillment is pure sharing. When you focus on what you are receiving, you lose fulfillment. Focus instead on what you can give another person.

Everyone has wanted something for the wrong reasons; most people just don’t realize it until it is taken away. There is no point in being the richest man in the cemetery. If you are not good enough without it, you will never be good enough with it. Who you are in the world is not what you have; it is the sum total of what you have done.
Who would not want more in life?
In life, we choose fulfillment. People have different levels of desire that define what it will take to get there. Although temporary fulfillment feels good in the moment, it will never serve you long-term. Set your sights even higher, and ask yourself, “What will bring me long-term, lasting fulfillment?”

The Story of the Ten Thieves Ike the mail carrier lived in a small town in the Midwest. He and his wife Cathy had only one child, a son named David. When David turned seven years old he was stricken with a mysterious illness. With each passing day, the young boy grew weaker. Ike drove hundreds of miles to visit countless doctors but to no avail. Cathy could see in her baby boy’s eyes that time was running out. She could sense the angel of death hovering over his bedroom. Little David desperately needed a miracle. It so happened that a wise old man lived in the same town as the mail carrier. He was not a doctor, but local people came to him with ailments that resisted a cure; it was rumored that he could talk to angels and perform all kinds of miracles and wonders. Ike’s last option was to pay a visit to the old sage. When he learned of young David’s heartrending situation, the wise man was greatly saddened. Ike begged him to do something in the way of prayer and blessings. The healer took Ike’s hand in his, and promised to do the best he could. That night the old mystic ascended high into the spirit world, utilizing secret prayers and other worldly meditations known only to a few. When he reached the gates of heaven he was stunned to find that the gates were locked. The fate of the little boy had already been sealed. The night soon passed and the morning sun began to rise in the eastern sky over this quaint Midwestern town. Ike and the old sage met outside the post office in the early morning. Sorrowfully, the old man told the mail carrier the news. “I’m afraid there is nothing I can do”, the sage said. “It has already been decreed that the gates of heaven remain locked to your only son.” Ike was shattered. Tears began streaming down his face as he begged the old man to try one more time. “I have nowhere else to turn!” cried Ike. “David is my only son, my only child. And you are my only hope!” Not having the heart to say no to this broken man, the old mystic replied, “I cannot promise anything. But I will make one more attempt.” And that’s when a bizarre idea suddenly occurred to him. He quickly summoned his young assistant, Thomas, and made a peculiar request. “Please go at once to the city,” the mystic said, “and bring to me ten hardened criminals. No less than ten.” Thomas was shocked. But he knew better than to question the man who could talk to angels. “Find me pickpockets, burglars, looters, the worst scoundrels possible,” the old man added. “And please, hurry!” Thomas drove into the city and, to his surprise, he was able to gather together ten thieves quite quickly. In fact, he was amazed at how easily they agreed to accompany him to the home of his master. Even these villains had heard of the mysterious healer in the not-so-distant town who possessed supernatural powers. Thomas and this sordid band arrived at the house of the mystic. The wise old sage thanked them for coming and invited them all into his home. Some of the nastiest criminals in the state sat around his living room, boastfully recounting their favorite crime stories. Then the old man motioned for them to be silent. Something about him commanded their respect. So they all listened carefully as the mysterious old sage who could perform miracles, the healer who could cure the most dreadful ailments, asked each one of these wily thieves to assist him in what would be his most difficult, most impossible miracle of all! The next morning, at the break of dawn, as robins chirped and roosters crowed, as a sweet-scented summer breeze blew ever so gently, Ike the mail carrier was dancing wildly down Main Street, looking like the happiest man on earth. A car pulled up alongside the dancing Ike. Thomas was at the wheel. In the back seat was the old sage. “My dear friend,” he exclaimed, “It appears by your delightful face and your dancing shoes that you have good news to share.” “I thank you with all my heart!” cried the mail carrier. “My beautiful boy David received a miracle overnight. It’s as though he was never sick. He is out milking the cows right now, doing chores as we speak!” “Indeed, this is very good news,” said the man who could talk to angels. “Be well, my friend!” The old sage then drove off. Thomas was puzzled. He turned to his mentor in the back seat. “How can this be?” he asked him. “You’re a gifted healer. But those men I brought to you yesterday…they were burglars, safecrackers, and muggers. Thieves. Why did you not ask for God-fearing, upstanding citizens? Why did you pray with such shady characters?” And this is what the noble and kind sage told him: “When I prayed that first night for our friend and his only son, I saw that the Gates of Heaven were locked. There was nothing I could do. The poor man’s heart was shattered. How could I refuse him when he pleaded with me to try again? Then a thought came to me. So I asked you to bring me that assortment of villains, which you did. Then last night I prayed again, but the gates of heaven were still locked.” Thomas was confused. “So what happened?” the driver asked. “How did you cure Ike’s son if the gates remained locked?” The mystic then cracked a smile that bespoke great wisdom. “Ahhh, but this time I had a band of thieves to assist me.” He replied. “You see, Thomas, a good thief knows all about breaking and entering. They picked the locks! These criminals broke into heaven and that is how my prayers were able to sneak into the heavenly sanctuary.” The car continued on into the small town the sage called home. It was still early, but the streets were coming to life. And if you knew where to look you would have seen a number of professional criminals, intermingled among the honest townspeople, suddenly stop and discreetly tip their hats to the healer’s car as it passed by. This simple story is actually a profound metaphor that contains the greatest formula in the world to getting all of your prayers answered: The Formula: The mystic in this story symbolizes our own soul, all of our positive character traits. The thieves represent all of our negative and egocentric traits. After all, we are all thieves, to one degree or another. Our good nature and endearing qualities will not arouse the answers to our prayers. Rather, it’s our mischievous, dishonest attributes that provide the master keys to heaven. When we identify and work to transform our self-centered qualities and crooked characteristics, the key turns and the gates unlock. Blessings and good fortune are now free to rain down upon us.

The Law of Affinity: Like Attracts Like
Unearned good fortune is not fulfilling long-term. When we don’t earn it, it becomes temporary.
Did you know? Strangely enough, winning millions in the lottery can be the worst thing that ever happened to you. The money can strain relationships with your spouse and relatives. It can turn your friends and neighbors into leeches. It can ruin your privacy. It can cause security problems, threaten your physical safety. Paradoxically, it can lead you down the road to bankruptcy. 22 May 1999 Billie Bob Harrell, Jr. commits suicide. In June 1997, Harrell won $31 million in the Texas state lottery. 4 Sep 2001 Patrick Collier randomly wins $1 million at a McDonald’s in Holly Hill, Florida. “I’m getting a Harley and a couple of houses.” Two weeks later, Collier is arrested for allegedly choking and punching his fiancee in the face. 19 Dec 2001 British lottery millionaire Phil Kitchen is found dead on his couch. Kitchen had apparently drunk himself to death (whiskey). 11 Jul 2002 British lottery winner Dennis Elwell dies at work, shortly after telling a coworker that he had drunk cyanide. 13 Sep 2003 The London Telegraph reports that 16-year-old British lottery millionaire Callie Rogers has lost her boyfriend, fought with her father, been mugged, and been accused of stealing someone’s man. “Some days I don’t even want to leave my house because people just scream abuse at me. Two months ago I thought I was the luckiest teenager in Britain. But today I can say I have never felt so miserable.” 2 Oct 2005 Having spent his $10 million prize in just seven years, Winnipeg lottery winner Gerald Muswagon hangs himself. Notable events in his monied spree include a high-speed chase in 2000 and a sexual assault arrest in 2002. 15 Jan 2006 Bankrupt ex-lottery millionaire William “Bud” Post III dies of respiratory failure in Seneca, Pennsylvania. Post had won $16.2 million in the Pennsylvania lottery on February 24, 1988. From a 1993 interview: “Everybody dreams of winning money, but nobody realizes the nightmares that come out of the woodwork, or the problems.”

People often seek spirituality when their life has been shattered; when we are living as an Effect and wonder about our life’s purpose. When we choose, we step out of the program we are born into, and start to become the Cause.
Will you BLAME your circumstances or will you CAUSE your circumstances to change?
Universal Principle: For every Cause there is an Effect.
definition:
cause (n.) 1. something that or somebody who makes something happen or exist or is responsible for a certain result
ef·fect (n.) 1. a change or changed state occurring as a direct result of action by somebody or something else

The “Suddenly Syndrome” is a myth. To make a change, you must find the real cause of your chaos and get to the root. definition:
sud·den (adj.) 1. done or happening quickly, unexpectedly, and often without warning.
Chaos happens when we are so caught up in reacting to our lives that we lose track of what is real. Until you heal the root, the cause of your challenge will always be there. Our lives, no matter how chaotic they may appear, have order hiding within them. YOU have the power to change this cycle. Or, you can stick with your story if you want to. You just have to realize that you are creating it.

When we focus on ourselves, our Ego keeps us locked up. Battle the Ego with a plan by using the tools of Kabbalah to fight the Ego. This takes effort and the desire to take on the challenge.
“Creation can be likened to a picture puzzle that has been disassembled. Our purpose is to reassemble the puzzle, so that we too, can be considered cocreators of the world. You are like a Vessel. All the energy of the universe is available to you. You just need to open yourself to the Light to focus your efforts and receive what you desire. The difference between people is how much desire they have within them. Those with a bigger desire will draw in more. Those with a smaller desire are more easily satisfied. One is not better than another. The greater the need to receive, the greater the need to restrict the potential for greed. To be the Cause is to have choice. Choice is the funnel we can use to channel the Light of the Universe. It means that you always take responsibility for your actions. Nothing happens to you; you create everything that is around you, good or bad, at some level. You may not even be aware of everything that you create. Sometimes, you may even create tough experiences just to grow. In contrast, it is easy to get caught up in “tip of the iceberg” problems without seeking to understand the choice that created the challenge beneath it. If we are not causing, we are blaming and are thus being the Effect.
What will you choose in the moment— a challenge or an opportunity? You must take responsibility.

Ask: “Why is this in my movie?” Expand your radar. Things happen around us that are meant as messages to us. When you notice these signals, you make changes more quickly. Every obstacle has a specific purpose for us, and there is Light concealed in every challenge. If you react to the challenge, you miss the opportunity of revealing that Light.
Things are not always what they seem. The Cause is never an external event or person. The greater the challenge, the more Light that is brought in. When something happens, ask yourself, what lesson am I learning? What is the benefit of this? Since the universe is always conspiring in your favor, nothing is accidentally placed in your path. Even if it is not apparent right away, the benefits of your experience will show up over time. You just need to have faith and ask yourself the right questions to stay connected to the Light of new knowledge and growth.

There are two Worlds that co-exist simultaneously: 1. Physical World: Dictated by our five senses, which represent only 1 percent of reality. Seeks instant gratification. 2. Spiritual Dimension: Remaining 99 Percent World of infinite transformation. Seeks lasting fulfillment.
In the 1 percent World, we are cut off from the spiritual world that wants to help us. This is the world of the five senses. In this world, we see only the illusion of our lives and immediate turmoil. This prevents us from seeing the big picture.
Our 6th Sense, Consciousness, is the closest we get to sensing the 99 Percent World. To be proactive is to tap into a greater universe. The universe is always conspiring in your favor. It is what makes up 99 percent of what surrounds us. In contrast, the percent of the universe that with which we are most familiar only makes up 1 percent of what surrounds us.

Synchronicity is finding your ability to access the 99 Percent World.
Everything exists in this World in its potential form. Our job is to reveal the 99 Percent World.
The Flow Zone When you are tapped into the 99 Percent World, things are easy, even when they don’t happen the way you plan or expect.
When you react, you are in total discord. Life goes up and down so fast, you lose your intuition and natural strength to learn and grow. When you are in the flow, life seems almost too easy. In fact, sometimes we think that things are going so well it won’t last. Consequently, we sabotage ourselves and knock ourselves out of this fluid state—we think that life is too good to be true and start to ask disempowering questions. In doing so, we shut ourselves off from the spiritual plane of the 99 Percent world. How to stay in the Flow: 1. Know that it won’t end and continue to look for meanings. 2. Trust your intuition. 3. Look for signs, synchronicity, and coincidences.

Every cell has consciousness. Disease is a collection of cells with negative consciousness.
Did you know? Regeneration is the ability to restore lost or damaged tissues, organs or limbs. It is common in invertebrates but far more limited in most vertebrates. Nevertheless, even humans are capable of some degree of regeneration. Humans can regenerate finger tips (distal to the last joint). It can occur throughout the human lifetime, but it is generally best in young children. The human liver also retains its ability to regenerate throughout a person’s lifetime. Other tissues, such as the epidermis, blood vessels and peripheral nerves also regenerate under many conditions. Regeneration of some tissues, such as the epidermis, is related to the fact that these tissues are continuously being replaced throughout life. Aside from being used to generally describe any number of specific healing processes, regeneration also is a specific method of healing that is noted for its ability to regrow lost limbs, severed nerve connections, and other wounds. If the processes behind regeneration are fully understood, it is believed this would lead to better treatment for individuals with nerve injuries (such as those resulting from a broken back or a polio infection), missing limbs, and/or damaged or destroyed organs. Regeneration of a lost limb occurs in two major steps, first de-differentiation of adult cells into a stem cell state similar to embryonic cells and second, development of these cells into new tissue more or less the same way it developed the first time. Some animals like planarians instead keep clusters of non-differentiated cells within their bodies, which migrate to the parts of the body that need healing. Limitations & Blockages Most individuals miss the 99 Percent World because they are limited to the 1 Percent that is in their head. When we are stubborn and closed, we do not see the signs meant for us. Only when we get past this can we tap into the power of the 99 Percent World. Once you are alert and aware, you cannot go back to being ignorant of the universe. Miracles We often expect miracles to be a big, amazing, extraordinary phenomena. As we bridge the two worlds together, miracles are happening all the time. They are put in our path at every moment to help us uncover more Light. [ 114 ]

When was the last time you looked under your hood? Our Light hides behind our Garbage. The more we look at our Garbage, the more Light that can be revealed. Tikkun/Garbage is anything that keeps us from spiritual growth and from our real path. It is what makes up our personal correction. We do a good job of hiding our Garbage. The first way to begin realizing our Garbage is to ask ourselves how we are triggered. Thus, in order to grow, it is important that our buttons get pushed. The universe was meant to push our buttons so that we could realize what in us needs to change so that these buttons will not get pushed. This helps us find the garbage to transform it. If our buttons were not getting pushed, we would not know what to fix.
You have come to this world to transform something. Denial is our reaction to direct Light.
Did you know? C.J. Jung’s “The Shadow” The shadow is an unconscious complex that is defined as the diametrical opposite of the conscious self, the ego. The shadow represents unknown attributes and qualities of the ego. There are constructive and destructive types of shadow. On the destructive side, it often represents everything that the conscious person does not wish to acknowledge within themselves. For instance, someone who identifies as being kind has a shadow that is harsh or unkind. Conversely, an individual who is brutal has a kind shadow. The shadow of persons who are convinced that they are ugly appears to be beautiful. On the constructive side, the shadow may represent hidden positive influences. Jung emphasized the importance of being aware of shadow material and incorporating it into conscious awareness, lest one project these attributes onto others. The shadow in dreams is often represented by dark figures of the same gender as the dreamer. This article is licensed under the GNU Free Documentation License. People Leave This World for Two Reasons: 1. They have done what they came here to accomplish. 2. They cannot make the corrections they came here to make.
The universe is working with us to help us transform to the next level. If our buttons were not getting pushed, we would not know what to fix, and if we had nothing to fix, we wouldn’t be here. Look for patterns that keep showing up in your life. The first step is to admit that you have Garbage and to start to look for it. If you search, but do not notice any Garbage, ask a trusted friend if they have noticed a pattern of the same type of challenges that keep showing up for you. The patterns are easy to identify if you are willing to look for them.
“Spiritual fulfillment cannot be a gift. We must earn it; we must work for it.” — Michael Berg
Core Issues are lessons (i.e. Tikkun/Garbage) that keep showing up again and again. This will continue until you learn from them. For some people, this will show up as a blind spot. To really get to a core issue, you must unpeel years of Garbage, which will take effort and time.

Your Garbage, Your Gift
Don’t ignore your Garbage. If you choose to ignore your Garbage, it can take on many different forms, all of which are driven by and feed your Ego. You may then set yourself up to fail and/or sabotage your own opportunities in other ways. To really get to a core issue takes effort and time, but the end is not the point. You will find fulfillment just by pursuing the journey. When we are on a path toward Light, the Light comes to us. Conversely, if we are on a path toward darkness, darkness comes to us.

So what is transformation, really? How do we get to the core? And once we get there, how do we change our inner nature?
“If we create an opening the size of the ‘eye of a needle,’ then God, in turn, will respond by ‘opening up the Supernal Gates.’” — The Zohar
The change is relative to the individual. You have to have the strength to be weak. The only way to get to your core issues is to start handling Garbage and making corrections. Put yourself in a place to get there. STRETCH yourself. When you go to your darkest place and conquer it, you grow immensely. That doesn’t mean that you must master it to bring in Light. By simply putting yourself in that situation and working through your own emotional/ego challenges, you grow spiritually.
You must uncover what you don’t want to see. This is where your Gifts will find you. Doing what is easy is not the point! It is easy to become comfortable with darkness and what you don’t know. It might seem easier just to leave the truth uncovered. You can choose to hide from the truth in the darkness of your Ego.

Consciousness is Light. Energy was all there was before Life. The term Light is merely a code word, a metaphor offered by the ancient Kabbalists to convey the broad spectrum of fulfillment for which human beings long. Before time began, there was an infinite force of Energy. This force reached as far as forever. It filled eternity. It expanded into infinity. There were no concepts such as time, space, or motion because, according to Kabbalah, this boundless Energy was the only reality. There was nothing else. The Energy had one nature, a single will, which was to: share endlessly, impart continuously, give ceaselessly, and bestow eternally. The nature of this Energy was to share its very essence. The essence and substance of this Energy was infinite fulfillment, boundless joy, and limitless enlightenment. The Energy is made of all possible forms of pleasure.

They married and moved to Los Angeles, where Otto’s career as a movie director took off. He soon became rich and famous, and they became one of Hollywood’s most admired couples. But the stress of life in the fast lane took its toll on Marion. She battled addictions to alcohol and drugs and became notorious for her affairs. When Otto finally divorced Marion, her life collapsed completely. She made three unsuccessful suicide attempts. Finally, she left California and returned to Vienna. There she met Albert Schweitzer, the legendary medical doctor, musician, philosopher, theologian, and missionary. He was home on leave from his hospital in Africa. Schweitzer fascinated Marion. During the remainder of his European visit, she spent every day with him. When it came time for Schweitzer to return to Africa, she begged him to allow her to accompany him, and he agreed. She spent the rest of her life in the Lambarene Hospital in Gabon, emptying bedpans, changing bandages, and bathing lepers. In her autobiography, All I Want is Everything, Marion wrote: “Albert Schweitzer says there are two kinds of people. There are the helpers, and the non-helpers. “
In Kabbalah compassion is not a sentimental notion. It is a force of the universe. ‘Looking out for number one’ is not wrong because it isn’t nice, it’s wrong because it violates the laws of physics — the connectedness scientists call the Unified Field. — Michael Berg

Hurting someone with ill-intended thoughts, judgment, or jealousy resonates energetically in the same way as physically hurting that person. However, you also hurt your own spirit with just as much intensity when you project those thoughts upon others. Judgment comes from our underlying need to be in control and/or feel significant. We all have conscious judgment. This is what we choose to believe. However, most of us are not as aware of our unconscious judgment. We are conditioned by our experiences and our environment, and this can only be shifted if one creates new experiences and associations with the people to whom we unconsciously link certain character traits. The Evil Eye is the code for envy, negative feelings and thoughts according to Kabbalah. The energy of The Evil Eye is ever present around us and something to which we are all subjected.
“There is so much good in the worst of us and so much bad in the best of us that it ill behooves any of us to find fault with others.” — Karen Berg
“ Kabbalists use a Red String as protection against The Evil Eye. Color signifies the energy of judgment and negativity. By wearing the Red String, a person receives a vaccine against evil energy.” — Yehuda Berg

Stop Taking from Others
You must also work to be aware of and to stop your own Evil Eye. When you notice yourself judging, force yourself to reverse your judgment and send positive energy to the individual. These are the same principles used in peace talks and negotiations around the world. Until you shift your thinking so that others are seen in the best possible light, you will perpetuate the negative vibration of the Evil Eye. Note: If you hear yourself making conscious verbal comments about others, imagine what is happening at an unconscious, energetic level.
Envy stems from self-judgment. For many of us, the person we judge the most is ourselves. As a result, we feel the pain associated with our thoughts both consciously and unconsciously. Be an observer and champion of personal growth instead. When people feel threatened, they go into their shell and/or they build walls. In other words, they go to their Ego for protection. Thinking that the Ego will keep you safe is an illusion.
“By logic as yet unfathomable, when we witness a tragedy, in some way we are responsible for it.” — Baal Shem Tov
When you look at others, know there is a bigger picture. The stories we create about others come from the five senses and are an illusion.

We are all connected through the Light. Relationships are the #1 tool for growth in Kabbalah, as they challenge us in ways that we may never challenge ourselves. The people in our lives are mirrors that show us what we need to correct. Sharing your growth with others exponentially effects the universe and creates positive evolution of consciousness. Therefore, be RUTHLESS in your Sharing!
Did you know? The Butterfly Effect: Scientists have discovered that the tiny turbulence created by a butterfly flapping its wings in Tokyo can eventually amplify a tornado in Kansas. And a person slamming a car door in Iowa can therefore influence the weather in Brazil.

True sharing requires effort and getting out of your comfort zone and sharing regardless of your mood. We don’t always give with the right consciousness.

Acts of giving alone will not change our consciousness. True sharing requires effort and getting out of your comfort zone. Money = Energy Money ultimately belongs to the Creator—we just manage it. Our role in life is to give to others as endlessly as does the Creator.
