Course: ARW2 Name: janella Mejia Taipe Extreme Percepon and Animal Intelligence by Temple Grandin and Catherine Johnson shows that inte intelligence lligence is not to bring a person his/her cellphone . As the author says,” Intelligence is using built-in perceptual and cognive skills to achieve useful and somemes remarkable goals.” Many animals have extreme percepon, take as an example, Forensic dogs are dogs that are intelligent as any X-ray machine. Another example are Seizure alert dogs because they are able to recognize a sing and then choose to do something about it , take for example, Clever Hans a German dog who apparently could count and answer mathemacal quesons , but his answers had nothing to do with a knowledge of mathemacs. To conclude, it is necessary to dierenate what animals are born with and from what they have acquired by learning or training.
