WorldTracer System - General Information WorldTracer Tracing and Management Members

Is a product of SITA At present more than 300 airlines / airports / handling agents are WorldTracer members One tracing concept replaces the former LL/LZ tracing system

Baggage Tracing Membership Baggage Management - WorldTracer Management has a good memory: Membership Long term storage of all baggage mishandling information. The system watches the progress of each record and prompts the user to take the necessary actions. A statistical analysis system provides detailed reports on the baggage handling performance and system use. Fraud prevention system that will prevent the misuse of claims in Claims Investigation cases of baggage mishandling, damages and pilferages. Membership AHL and DPR files are stored on a database to compare claims world-wide. This membership provides access for the passenger to his/her Internet Membership personal WorldTracer AHL file. The passenger can follow up the state of tracing of his missing bag, as well as communicate with the tracing office via the Internet.

QOH Quick On Hand Description

Only possible with tag number(s) No “wild card -X-“ characters permitted You can enter a maximum of 10 bags in one entry The system assigns a Date and GMT Time Stamp in the output A -FI- Further Information element can be optional added as a single line of text. FI will be only included in WT TNT, not in WM TNT output The system will match the QOH tag numbers with existing AHL files The TNT input will also search for existing QOH files. A QOH will remain in the system for 24 hours System Prompt after 24 hours for creation of an OHD file. A QOH can be displayed by DOH and retrieved with the ROF report Upgrading QOH to an OHD file will delete the QOH Entry of a -FWD- with the same Station/Airline and Tag Number as an existing QOH will delete the QOH. Duplicate QOH entries: for QOH’s with the same Station/Airline and the same Tag Number the error message - DUPLICATE QOH EXISTS - will be returned. Example Inputs:

System Response: >WM QOH BOMLX

OK

Notes: When do you set a QOH Input? You hope (or better you know!) that the passenger will arrive later the same day. You hope (or you are nearly sure) that the passenger is on board on a special flight and you want to wait for the request (match with AHL). You have many unclaimed bags at the moment and you have to set priorities to handle them.

Matching Process Description:

This chapter describes in detail how the matching process works within the WorldTracer system.

Basic Principles:

The matching process is a continuous process of comparing files that have just been entered into the system with others also just entered or may have been resident for a time.

TTY Send Teletype Message Description

this transaction allows you to send a SITA teletype message via the WorldTracer Management System.

Example Input: >WM TTY DELLLLX/DELKKLX/CDGLLLX/BOMLLLX .BOMLLLX TEXT TEXT TEXT (Minimum 4 and maximum 1000 characters)

Notes: Destination address must be separated by a slash -/-, the maximum are 8 addresses. The address in the second line, after the full stop (.) is your station address. When you send a message for another airline, you have to place the signature of the other airline after your own signature, so this airline will be ‘charged’ for the communication costs. In the example below AF (Air France) will be charged. Example Input: >WM TTY DELLLLX/DELKKLX/CDGLLAF .BOMLLLX/AF TEXT TEXT TEXT (Minimum 4 and maximum 1000 characters)

Place a copy of the TTY message in one or into multiple files. The system allows multiple file references and multiple file types on one line - AHL, OHD and DPR The message will be: Placed automatically in the next available MR of MCH area of the file. The Date/Time stamp that appears in the TTY output will be added to the text that is transferred to the MR area. Sent to the addresses on the top line. Example: >WM TTY DELLLLX AHL BOMLX12345/CDGLX54321 OHD DELLX98745 DPR ZRHLX56478 .BOMLLLX TEXT TEXT TEXT

WorldTracer Action File Introduction WorldTracer Management has an ‘Electronic Mail Filing System’, which will replace all paper filing system. WM also replaces the need for teleprinters for most incoming traffic by using the Action File. Each WorldTracer Management CRT station within an airline has its own Action File. An Action File has several areas, similar to ‘queues’ that allows receiving messages from the system, other departments or airplanes. It will store these messages for up to seven days. This allows the stations to review/work them any time during that 7 day period. The Action File also allows WorldTracer Management stations to communicate with each other using both free from text and standard formatted messages such as forwarding bags and requesting bags. Using this combination of Action Files and Teletype Messages, WorldTracer Management provides a means of communication from any station/department of any airline to any station/department at any airline. The top line displays the station, the airline and the current date. The next line shows AREA, which is the header line for several areas, Followed by D1, D2, D3, etc….. DAYS D1 is DAY ONE, which is today (current day) D2 is DAY TWO, which was yesterday. D3 is DAY THREE, which was the day before yesterday, etc….

. D7 is the oldest and last day. AREAS Each Area for each day may contain a maximum of 999 messages of 1000 characters each. Example: the number 10 next to FW under D1 means, that at the time the display was transmitted, there are 10 Forwarding messages created today which are waiting to be treated. If an Area has u huge amount of messages at one Day, the oldest 100 messages will be sent to the printer of your office. Any message which is more than 7 Days old, will also be sent to you TTY printer. The CXF display will only show those Areas, which contain a message.
