1.

How to work with this Documentation & Video Tutorial

First of all, thank you for purchasing my project. I hope you will find it useful! I have written this documentation, however, I recommend watching the video tutorials.

2.

Main Compositions There are three main compositions included in this project. 1. Main Comp 1 - Outsourcing Company 2. Main Comp 2 - This is Sara 3. Main Comp 3 - Empty Comp

These are the compositions which you render in the end. The main composition consists of Scenes. All the content which you will edit - you will edit inside these scenes.

3.

Scenes - basics All main compositions consist of scenes. Scenes are separated compositions placet next to each other The camera moves from one scene to another. From the first one to the last one.

All the scenes are numbered from number 1. So the first scene is scene is scene number 1. Then goes the scene number 2, then number 3 and so on. Each Main Composition has its own scenes inside its folder. Located inside Scenes folder. When you open any of the scenes, you can see and modify all the content inside it. That could be the text or ready made pre comps. You can also use any text presets if you wish. When you will start working, I suggest that it's good to open a new comp viewer panel and lock it to the chosen main comp. That way when you will be editing the content inside scenes you will be able to see how it looks in main composition in real time.

4.

Adjusting Scenes This process is difficult to explain so I recommend watching the video tutorial.

You can change the duration, position of each scene and also the camera zoom. Changing the duration of scenes To change the duration of each scene you need to stretch / expand the selected Scene layer and also move it in the timeline. But with this step, you must also change the camera. The camera is controlled by the "CameraDoll1" layer inside all Main Compositions. The position of the camera is controlled by it's "Position" property of the "CameraDoll1" layer. Zoom of the camera is controlled by it's "Scale" property of the "CameraDoll1" layer. 2

Whiteboard Pack - Make Your Own Story Documentation by Mister Horse v1.0 So to change duration of a scene - you need to also modify both Scale and the Position keyframes of the "CameraDoll1" layer. Move them along the timeline as you modified the Scene layer. The beginning and end of the layer should fit with the keyframes of the "CameraDoll1" layer. Note: the "CameraDoll1" layer is locked and hidden by default so as first you need to unlock and unhide it (make it visible). Then press "U" to reveal all keyframes. When you will be done with editing, turn the visibility for this layer back to OFF.

Changing the camera zoom The camera is controlled by the "CameraDoll1" layer inside all Main Compositions. Zoom of the camera is controlled by it's "Scale" property of the "CameraDoll1" layer. You can change the camera zoom by manipulating keyframes of the Scale property.

Changing the position of scenes You can change also the position of each scene. With this - you need to change also the camera position. The camera is controlled by the "CameraDoll1" layer inside all Main Compositions. The position of the camera is controlled by it's "Position" property of the "CameraDoll1" layer. You can change the camera position by manipulating keyframes of the Scale property.

5.

Working with ready made pre-comps

Precomps are ready made compositions which you can use in your scenes. You can find them in "Precomps" folder. The precomps are divided into several folders, grouped by the kind. Next to each Group of Precomps is a "Preview" composition in which you can see all the precomps placed in the timeline next to each other. This is there to make browsing and working with all the comps much easier. For example the group of comps "Buildings" are in folder "Buildings" and there is a preview comp "Buildings preview" next to it. All these precomps are rendered & includeed within this project s you can browse more easily. If you decide that you want to use a chosen pre comp, select it, copy it and then paste it in a chosen scene where you want it to be. There is also another way: right click on the chosen comp, reveal the source in the project. Then just drag and drop them into the scene you have chosen. Then you can adjust the position, size or timing. Anyway, I like the firs way more.

Precomps with editable content inside (placeholders) When you are working with pre comps which have text, video or anything else inside them, for example your logo, just double click on the composition to open it. Then repeat the process again until you will get to the part you want to change. 3

Precomps without editable content inside (just animations) There are many animated precomps. And nearly each object is available in few different animation styles. Mostly the types are: • Push (the hand pushes the object to the scene) • Throw (object is thrown to the scene and hand is not visible) • Draw (the hand draws the object) • Pop (the object pops up) This way the video will still look great even if you are using many precomps in one scene.

Adjusting the precomps inside scemes After you place the precomps you want into the scene, you can adjust the timing, position and so on. When you are using Copy & Paste method to place the precomps to scenes - make sure to stretch the layer of the comps to make it longer. Otherwise you would see it disappear.

6.

Font The name of the font used in this template is "Never Say Never". Here’s the link: http://www.dafont.com/never-say-never.font

7.

Working with text layers & text composition presets & text placeholders

Editing text layers - To edit text, just double click on the the layer. Then you can you can edit it in the way you need it. Working with text composition presets You can also use text composition presets. You can copy any whole text composition preset into any scene. You can also open the composition and copy just the text layer you want. Working with text placeholders placeholders After you have chosen the text placeholder you want, you can copy it to any scene. The placeholders consists of several nested precomps (it might differ from one to another). To edit the text inside, just doubleclick on it to reveal the composition. Keep revealing the compositions inside until you will get to the text layer. Then you can edit the text layer an close the comps you have opened after you are done.

8.

Changing colors of the red colored images (Lines & Shapes) If you want to use other color than red, you can change the color of all colored images using a hue slider.

To change it, open the comp named "Settings" in project panel. open effects panel for the layer "Effects Control" (select the layer and press F3). Drag the slider for effect named "Change Color of red images here (Hue)" The slider is in an expression control effect, and will change colors of all the images which has a red color. The slider goes by default from 0 to 100. But the HUE is from 0 to 255. So I recommend not to use the slider, but to type there a number manually. Please note that it will not change the color of the texts inside Scenes.

9.

Adding your logo

To replace the original logo placeholder with your logo, go to Project Panel and open the comp "Your Logo" inside folder "Your Logo". There you can replace the "yourLogo.png" image layer with your actual logo.

10. Adding Music & Voiceover Music The music is inside the folder "Audio". The layer with music is inside each Main Comp on the top. The music audio files are inside the folder "Audio". • Main Comp 1 has inside the music1.mp3 • Main Comp 2 has inside the music2.mp3 • Main Comp 3 has inside the music3.mp3

Voiceover To change the music, you can just replace the audio file in the "Audio" folder or import it and insert it as a new layer to main composition. The voiceover audio files are also inside the folder "Audio". • Main Comp 1 has inside the voiceover1.mp3 • Main Comp 2 has inside the voiceover2.mp3 • Main Comp 3 has inside the voiceover3.mp3 The layer with voiceover is inside each Main Comp on the top. To change the music, you can just import it into the AE and replace the the voiceover layers with your voiceover. The voiceovers are turned off by default to Main Comp1 and Main Comp2.

11. Rendering When you are done with editing, select the whole timeline in Main Comp you have been working with and add it to the render queue. Then choose the format you want in the Output Module. I use H.264, don't forget to check out the render audio option. Now just press render and that's it.

12. Last words I hope this is all you need to know. Still. I encourage you to watch the video tutorials. If you have any questions, ask me in comments or write me an email through my profile page.

Thank you for purchasing my template. I would be pleased if you could find a moment to rate it :) Have a lovely day!

Sincerely, Mister Horse
