Perfect for everything from preludes to processionals, recessionals, postludes, and background music, the Wedding Essentials Volumes are a must have for any wedding musician or ensemble! They are even perfect outside of weddings for the gigging musician. We have all experienced weddings where we needed t o extend a processional for a string of twelve slow bridesmaids, or cut one short for a fast and nervous bride. These arrangements were designed precisely with these concerns in mind by implementing the following tools:
Optional endings are marked where the ensemble can end on proper cadences in the event of an unconventional ending, whether it be early, or after extending the selection. To Opt. Coda ? markings work in the same way Optional Endings do, but end by jumping to the coda. Jump Points are designed simply for jumping around easily, repeating sections, or skipping sections without confusion. Jump Points are clearly marked as numbers enclosed in circles up to five so the first trumpet may show with one hand where to go without stopping. Optional Ornaments are written out in certain selections as an option to the conventional melody. These are only suggestions and are meant to inspire further ornamental improvisation.
