Wayneman Have the spectator shuffle the deck. Spread the deck face upon the table and ask the spectator if he think he could memorize that deck right now. Tell him that you will try to do exactly that but before that you want him to think of a number. So that everybody else knows his humber have him deal that many cards on the table from the top of the pack and then put that packet back on the deck.

Say that you will memorize the deck. While you are looking trough the deck, actually just memorize the two cards before your key card which is the original top card of the deck.

Ask him to name the number. When he tells you the number say that you actually remember the n-2 card the n-1 card but for some reason the n card eludes you. Remove the card from the deck and look trough the deck again. Say that you saw mare red cards, more hearts, all the cours cards and then reveal the card.

Idea 1: Instead of just peeking the top card you can have a set up that you can remember on top and that way you can reveal cards are more positions because you have them memorized.
