Supervisor Registration In order to register all employees at the WalTer, the Supervisor has to register first. Follow the steps below.
Type the Employee Number assigned using the keypad, and press the
key.
This displays the Supervisor Main Menu
Note: If your ID number does not bring you to the Supervisor Menu, check you used the correct employee number. Contact System Administrator or Payroll for help.
At the Supervisor Menu, choose option for Administrative Menu on the keypad or screen.

The prompts now guide you through recording your fingerprint so you can clock in and do all Supervisor tasks. Choose a finger on your left hand to register. Index finger is normally used. When the finger is properly placed in the reader, press the

Default Department and Language
After the fingerprint registration choose the Supervisor’s default department/location (naming convention depends on your company’s configuration).
If employee works more than one job/department, check those they will work.

Registering Supervisor: Payment Method This only applies for those companies using Insight Pay cards.
Once the Language is selected, the Supervisor’s payment method is chosen. Options here will depend on your state and company requirements.

After the fingerprint registration choose the employee’s payment method. Choose New Pay Card on screen or keypad.
Not every company uses scan cards as back up, nor pay cards for their employees. Only use the option(s) that apply in your circumstance. Follow same procedure to register back up swipe card.

Registering Supervisor: Personal Information This applies only to those companies using Insight Pay cards. Use the on screen keyboard to complete the fields. Use a capped pen to type for increased accuracy. -
NOTE: These will onl y apply if the company is using Insight Pay cards. You will type the name again.

Pay or Swipe Card
Registering Supervisor: Assign Pay or Swipe Assigning Pay Cards only applies to those companies using Insight Pay cards. Swipe cards can apply to all. Login to Administrative Menu. Choose the option for Modify Existing or Register New Employee on the keypad or screen.
NOTE: Swipe and Pay cards may not be reissued to other employees. They are single issue.

The screen will prompt you to Swipe your Pay Card. Be certain to put the strip in the reader with the back of the card toward the wall, passing it through from top to bottom.

Place the registered finger on the fingerprint reader and type the Employee Number if prompted, on the keypad and press the key.
NOTE: Supervis ors m ay be prompted to approve mismatched punches or PTO requests prior to punching. Press the button to move forward and punch. Supervisory actions will be WalTer will take an image of the fingerprint and match it with the points for the employee clocking in. If the points match it will move forward. If the don’t match, it will read “Fingerprint mismatch”. Depending on the configuration, it may allow up to three tries. Otherwise it will continue and allow the punch noting the mismatch and will require Supervisor approval.

Additional prompts can be configured to prompt on any out punch for specific Paygroups. Up to nine prompts are available and they can be configured to read as your company needs. In the following example, Tips and Mileage are required entries while Travel Time is optional. The Safety Question follows any prompts.
Press the number on screen or keypad for the action to take, in this example: *Mileage Entry *Tip Amount Travel Time A red asterisk * marks required fields.
NOTE: Up to 9 prompt s are possible. Each prompt can be configured to be what’s needed for the business and em ployee.

You will have options to display and/or print choices that apply to you and are configured at the site.
View pay stub or work report If the employee payroll information is sent to Blueforce and the clock, this will allow viewing/printing of the paystub. If it’s not sent, this item will be dim and not selectable.
View Attendance Two options are available: View Actual Time Stamps View Rounded Time Stamps To view punches by actual or rounded times.

View Pay Card Balance This only applies if you have an Insight Paycard. Swipe the card through the reader to the right with the bar code in the slot and the back of the card toward the wall. Your balance will display. Be cautious about bystanders.
View/Print Timesheets You may view or print the total hours related to any pay period available here. You may also review and approve them depending on your configuration.

Using the WalTer T6: PTO Menu—View & Balance This applies to Supervisors and Employees
After using your finger and/or Employee Number to access the clock, to request PTO, choose the option for PTO Menu on screen or keypad.
The options here allow you to Request PTO, view your PTO Requests and PTO Balance. To view PTO Requests, choose that option on screen or keypad.

Use the white keys to move UP or DOWN and choose the PTO request to edit. Press the key to Edit the request. Follow the steps from Request PTO pages to edit.
NOTE: You may onl y edit requests that are not already approved or denied. To change approved requests, talk to your supervisor.
To Print PTO requests press the key. To Exit back to the main Employee Menu, press the key.

To Print PTO balances press the key. The balances display hours allocated, used and balance by date. Use the white keys to move UP and Down. To Exit back to the main Employee Menu, press the key.

Supervisor Clock IN Prompts: Mismatched Fingerprints After a Supervisor logs in, if there are mismatched fingerprints to approve, there will be a prompt to review/approve all or selectively. To move past this to Clock IN, press the to handle these later.
To handle at login, mismatched fingerprints can be approved selectively or all at once. Reviewing them selectively gives the opportunity to see who is having issues and how often. Use the white keys at the bottom of the screen to Approve All, Approve Selected Row and move UP and DOWN through the displayed punches. Press to Edit a row or
to Exit to the
Administrative Menu.
