Vlan Provisioning in Tejas

VLAN PROVISIONING (Local AT for Eth and VCG port) 1.

Configure switching parameter:

Go to Switches --Click on desired Switch card-Switch configuration Select Tag Mode Configuration as 802.1 Switching 2. Create a VLAN table: Use the following procedure to create VLAN table on netwok element. Click Switches in the Navigation menu. Click on the desired Switch card. Click VLAN. The View VLAN page is displayed. Click Provision a new VLAN. The Provision New VLAN page is displayed. Give VLAN ID and VLAN Name and select appropriate Eth and VCG ports .Select acceptance value as untagged for Eth and VCG.. Click Create. A confirmation page is displayed. Click Yes. A success message is displayed. 3.Edit Switching and Physical parameters for Eth port a)Go

toPorts in navigation menu ,Select the appropriate Eth port Edit Switching Parameter-Give Port VLAN ID Go toPorts,Select the appropriate Eth portEdit Physical Parameter- Admin Status : AdminUp Auto Negotiation : Enable or Disable depending on end eqpt configuration Flow Control : Advertise None LACP mode :Enable Submit the changes

4..Edit Switching and Physical parameters for VCG port b) Go toPorts in navigation menu , Select the appropriate VCG portEdit Switching Parameter-Give Port VLAN ID .

Go toPorts,Select the appropriate VCG portEdit Physical Parameter- Admin Status LCAS Framing Type

: adminUp : Enable (Has to be enabled at both ends) : GFP at both the ends. Both ends should have same framing type VCAT : Enable Operating Granularity : VC-12 / VC-3 depending on customer requirement. Payload FCS : Enable LACP Mode :Enable Submit the changes
