Chapter 1--Cable connection 1. LVDS cable connector to the board’s connection

Please check the inserting condition of each foot. If some foot is not fully inserted (as shown in the figure below), please use tweezers to press the exposure to the top of the foot, let all feet be inserted into well.

2. FPC cable to the board’s TTL port connection It’s very difficult for the operation of connecting FPC cable with the PCB800099 TTL port. Please connect the FPC cable with the PCB800099 TTL port. Then connect all the other cables. Turn on the power supply to see if the LCD can be shown the normal image. If the LCD displays the correct image, the following operation needn’t be processed. Or else, please operate the following operation.

Then don't turn over, insert the thin, hard plastic pitch from the FPC cable's bottom. The thin, hard plastic pitch is shown in the picture. In the actual operation, FPC cable is at the upper of the plastic pitch and this can't photograph.

Push into the small clip on the both side. When you feel the connection has been the more tight, stop push. The clip does not necessarily have to be completely pushed into, so as to avoid damage to the clamp.

Chapter 2--The cable connection for DC +5.0V backlight LCD A few LCD panel and converter board should be supplied with DC +5.0V power. But there isn’t JUMPER for PCB800099. There are two kinds of solution.

1. Using DC +5.0V and +12.0V TWO-IN-ONE adapter The solution can be used for all size LCD.

When the board is supplied with the adapter only having the DC +12.0V output, the LVDS cable +5.0V wire cannot be connected to the board’s any pin because the DC+12.0V will be supplied directly to the LCD and the LCD will be damaged immediately. It’s prohibited to connect the red wire to the board CN1(power connector) , CN7(AV1+AV2 connector), CN9(VGA connector).

2. Using DC +5.0V adapter The solution can be used for small size LCD, such as 3.5inch to 7.0inch. The driver board may not drive the 8.9inch and above LCD because the power of DC +5.0V adapter is too small. In fact, the +12V PIN on the board is connected to the power board’s input + (Anode) PIN directly. The +12V PIN can be offered DC +5.0V when the power supplier is DC +5.0V. Of course, this +12V pin will output +12.0V DC if the total board’s power adapter is DC +12V. In this case, please don't connect the cable that needs DC +6.0V to the +12V PIN to it. Or else, the connected device that only needs DC +5.0V input power supply will be damaged immediately.

Chapter 3--The reverse camera for PCB800099 board When the car begins to reverse back, the power of DC +12v will add to the reverse lamp. At the same time, the ACC pin will be powered also, reversing camera image is displayed on the screen.

Chapter 4--Select the board’s inputted signal mode 1.

Please connect the LCD and board first.

Please don’t insert signal cable and only insert the +12V power. Then power on the kits after finishing all the cable connection. In this case, the LCD will show the blue image.

If the LCD doesn’t show the blue image, there should be bug for the cable connection. Please shut off the power and check all the connection carefully.

When press “6-INPUT SIGNAL” button, the inputted signal will be changed via “VA1-VA2VGA-HDMI”.

If you want to use HDMI cable as inputted signal, you should set the board to HDMI mode before or after inserting the HDMI cable to the board’s HDMI interface. Or else, the LCD will be shown the blue image.

The board’s inputted signal mode can also be selected via remote controller.

Chapter 7--How to proceed if the LCD cannot be worked Step 1--Please check the power adapter DC +12V 3.0A Center: +(Anode) Around: - (Cathode)

Setp 2--Please check each wire of the LVDS cable Each wire should be in good condition. The LCD cannot be driven even if only one wire has damaged. An example is shown as below. The wire has been damaged by the buyer.

Setp 3--Please check all the connections The 6pin connector on the LVDS cable should be connected to the board’s 6Pin connector. For the connectors with 2Pin to 5Pin on the LVDS cable, please be very careful. It’s absolutely prohibited to connect the 2Pin to the board’s 2Pin/3pin/4Pin/5Pin/6Pin randomly, or connect 3Pin to the board’s 3pin/4Pin/5Pin/6Pin randomly, or connect 4Pin to the board’s 4Pin/5Pin/6Pin randomly, or connect 5Pin to the board’s 5Pin/6Pin randomly. The correct connection operation should be in strict accordance with the definition of each interface. Or else, the LCD ,even the board can be burned and damaged immediately.

Setp 4--Please check the connection of the LVDS cable connector and the LCD’s connector There are two sides for each LVDS cable connector. The correct side has been marked with “UP”. If the upper side is connected to the LCD’s connector upside down, the LCD never be driven and it can be damaged sometimes.

Chapter 8--Troubleshooting Question 1 – The power adapter requirement of the board.

The board voltage and the LCD voltage are 2 different parameters. The board can be worked from +5V to +12V with 3.0A current. Center: +(Anode) Around: - (Cathode)

Question 2 – The LCD panel voltage The LCD voltage only can be supplied by the board’s jumper with only +3.3V +5.0V +12.0V. Most of LCD panel works at +3.3V. There isn’t JUMPER connector for the PDB800099. For those LCD with DC +5.0V backlight, please refer to Chapter 2.
