The Senbaru Student Dormitory
T
he University has a student dormitory complex named “Senbaru-Ryo”, which caters to both Japanese and international students. Residences are separate for male and female students. The dormitory is located near the main north gate of the university campus. The complex consists of three different types of residence types, the "Ippan-to", “Konju-to” and the "Shin-Konju-to". All buildings are conveniently located near the University’s main North Entrance.
The Ippan-To All rooms in the Ippan-To are for single occupancy. Each room is furnished with a desk, chair, bed frame and bookshelf. Rooms are non-air-conditioned and occupants share the use of common facilities that include a kitchen, a living and dining room, washing and drying machines, refrigerators, washrooms and bath basins. There are no bathing facilities in the Ippan-To building. Occupants have to share the use of a common bath that is located in a neighboring building. Under dormitory rules, members of the opposite sex and non-residents are strictly not allowed entry or visitation.

Utilities: 8,400 yen/month (including water, gas and maintenance fee) Electricity: Approximately 2,000 3,000 yen/month (charged according to the quantity consumed)
The Konjuu-To All rooms in the Konju-To are for single occupancy. Each room is fitted with an attached toilet and wash basin and is furnished with a desk, chair, bed frame and bookshelf. Rooms are non-air-conditioned and occupants share the use of common facilities that include a kitchen, a living and dining room, washing and drying machines, refrigerators and shower rooms. Occupants are allowed to install air-conditioners at their own cost upon application. Under dormitory rules, members of the opposite sex and nonresidents are strictly not allowed entry or visitation.
SENBARU STUDENT DORMITORY – THE SHIN-KONJUU-TO BASIC COSTS AND EXPENSES
Rent: 15,000 yen/month Maintenance Fees : 4,000/month (for electricity and water consumed in common areas) Electricity: Approximately 2,000 3,000/month (charged according to amount consumed per month)
The Shin-Konjuu-To All rooms in the New Konju-To are for single occupancy. Each room is equipped with an en-suite toilet, shower (no bathtub) and kitchenette, and is furnished with a desk, chair, bed frame and bookshelf. Rooms are non-air-conditioned. Occupants are allowed to install air-conditioners at their own cost upon application. Under dormitory rules, members of the opposite sex and nonresidents are strictly not allowed entry or visitation. The male dormitory consists of units made up of 11-12 persons each; the female dormitory consists of units made up of 7-8 persons each. Washing machines and dryers are provided in each unit. Maintenance fees are charged for water and electricity consumed by occupants in common areas (corridor, kitchen and dining area, toilets, wash basins and laundry area) and other living costs (toilet paper, garbage bags, light bulbs and waste disposal fees).
