Uchishtha Ganesh Sadhna is often called as the “Quintessence of all GaneshaMantras”. We can pray to the Auspicious deity any time, no particular Lunar day or propitious time is needed. Rishi Munis (sages) had written in many GaneshScriptures, that Ganesha’s worship is to be done while eating fruits or his favoritemodaks (laddoos). This chanting of mantras is also known as “Mantra Japa”. To gainSiddhi (prosperity) or desired results from this mantra Japa, one should at least chant these 16,000 times. The influential mantra that can help everyone to achieve success in life is as follows. Viniyogah(Request): Asyashree Uchchistha Ganesh Mantrasya Sughora Rishih Nibhida Gayatree Chandah Uttishtha Ganpatirdevta Mam Sarvbhishta Siddhyarthe Jape Viniyogah| Meaning: This “Ganpati Uchchishtha Mantra” as per the rishis (sages and saints) is the one which allows us to be free from our troubles and will make us happy. This mantra is used to invoke Lord Ganesha in order to give one the fruits of all my desires. Thismantra is chanted for the sake of accomplishment of one’s desired tasks. Anganyaas (Aahwahan or invoking of Lord with body parts): Om Sughora Rishaye Namah : Shirasi Om Nibhida Gayatri Chandase Namah: Mukhe Om Uttishtha Ganpataye Namah: Hridaye Om Viniyogah Namah: Sarvaange Meaning: I bow to all the rishis who are fearless: I invoke them from the head I bow to the Goddess Gayatri with all the sacred hymns: I invoke them from my mouth (word) I bow to the standing Lord Ganpati: I invoke him from my heart I appoint Lord Ganesha to accomplish my tasks: I invoke you with all my body parts Karanyaas (Invoking or impressing the deity with hands) Om Angushthabhyam Namah Om Tarjanibhyam Swaha Om Madhyakabhyam Vashat Om Anamikabhyam Hum Om Kartalkar Prasthabhyam Phat Meaning: I bow to the deity with my thumb I bow to the deity with my Index Finger I bow to the deity with my Middle Finger I bow the deity with the both sides of my palms

Hridayadinyas (Invoking the Lord with my heart): Om Hrudhayaya Namaha- I bow to the Lord with my heart Om Shirase Swaha- I bow to the Lord with my head making an effort Om Shikhayai Vashat- I bow to Lord with my shikha (tail) Om Kavachaya Hum- I bow to the Lord with my kavach (armor) Om Nethrathrayaya Vaushat- I bow to the Lord with my eyes Om Asthraya Phat- I bow to the Lord with my weapons

Dhyaanam: (Meditations) Rakthamoorthim Ganeshancha Sarvabharana Bhooshitham Rakthavasthram Threenethram Cha Rakthapadmasane Sthitham Chaturbhujam Mahakayam Ekdantam Susmithananam Istancha Dakshinehasthe Dantham Cha Dhadhathaha Kare Pashankushou Cha Hasthabhyam Jatamandala Vestitham Lalate Chandrarekhadyam Sarvalankara Bhooshitam Meaning: The moorti (idol) Ganesha who supports everyone, who adorns red colored clothes and who sits on the red colored Padam (Lotus). He has four hands and has a gigantic structure, has one tusk and on it has an exceptionally pretty smile. His one hand holds a tusk, other hand holds a Pusan (noose), one hand holds a jatamandala(kamandalu or a brass like pot containing holy water) and the last hand is in the position of giving boon to his devotees. On his forehead are the chandrarekha (lines drawn by the moon) and these lines adorn his face. Mantra (Sacred Verses): 1. Om Hasthi Pishachi Likhe Swaha 2. Om Gam Hasthi Pishachi Likhe Swaha 3. Om Namo Bhagavate Ekadhamstraya Hasthimukhaya Lambodharaya Ucchistamahathmane Aam Karom Hreem Gam Ghe Ghe Swaha Meaning: 1. I bow to the Green Elephant Lord 2. I bow to the Green Elephant God who writes 3. I bow to the Deity who has the face of an elephant and a large pot like belly. I pray to God to do what is right for me. I am standing in front of you with my folded hands and requesting you. Note: One of these mantras should be used for recitation. One can continue in the same way till 16,000 Japs.
