Cards & Boards Test

Any number o f s e a l e d decks that have n e v e r been opened are given t o committeej. they s e l e c t any d e c k , break s e a l s and s h u f f l e same and remove any ton c o r d s and s e a l them'between two boards and you are a b l e t o name the ten c a r d s . This i s a banner e f f e c t in card magic and one they w i l l remember. The manner of f i n d i n g out t h e cards i s very n a t u r a l and never n o t i c e d , and a method n o t used in g e n e r a l card m a g i c . In your lower r i g h t v e s t p o c k e t you have a deck of cards which i s s h o r t any ten cards and i s n o t In the ores,, On the t a b l e you have ten complete decks that have n s v s r been opened and with t h e same b a c k d e s ign as the d e c k in your p o c k e t y Have the committee s t e p forward and go i n t o a c o r n e r or any near by a n t i rocm. They p i c k any d e c k and s h u f f l e i t as much as they l i k e and hand deck t o you behind y o u r back 0 You stand w i t h your back towards them. They p i c k any ten cards out o f the deck and as soon as t h e y do you b r i n g the d e c k t o your f r o n t w h i l e they take paper and p e n c i l and w r i t e down t h e names of the ten c a r d s . While they do t h i s and with your back s t i l l t u r n e d , you have ample time t o s l i p the d e c k in an empty v e s t p o c k e t and p u l l out the d u p l i cate deck 0 Then c a u t i o n them t o hide t h e i r c a r d s . You turn and hand them the deck and t e l l them t o s t i c k the ten cards in anyplace and p l a c e the d e c k in case and anyone p l a c e s t h i s in t h e i r p o c k e t . You l e a v e the room while t h e y n a i l the ten cards between t h e b o a r d s . I was wrong a b o v e , t h e y do NOT put the ten cards back in the d e c k , they keep them o u t . While out of t h e room 7/ou run through the deck and d e a l i t i n t o f o u r p i l e s 9 one p i l e f o r each s u i t , and when you are f i n i s h e d you can e & s i l y s e e which t e n c a r d s a r e m i s s i n g and w r i t e them down on a p a d . Now you walk b a c k t o t h e i r room and gaze at the board and p r e t e n d t o c o n c e n t r a t e , take out the pad and p r e t e n d t o w r i t e down the ten c a r d s that are a l r e a d y w r i t t e n down9 unknown t o them. When t h e y check your l i s t , t h e y f i n d t h a t you are c o r r e c t . Anyone e l s e opens b o a r d s and v e r i f y s the cards a g a i n s t both s l i p s . And there you have a w o n d e r f u l e f f e c t , one they w i l l remember and t a l k about and a l l w i t h o u t p r a c t i c e o r s l e i g h t s and much g r e a t e r than the usual run o f the m i l l card t r i c k s . Now f o r a v a r i a t i o n I w i l l g i v e you a n o t h e r method; In t h i s method you have t o open d e c k s in advance and s t a c k them, then r e s e a l them. Have h a l f o f the d e c k s red backs and t h e o t h e r h a l f b l u e backs,, You know the top ten cards o f e a c h d e c k , as t o p ten c a r d s of e v e r y deer, are the same, you s t a c k them t h a t way. t h a t you n e v e r touch the decks or go anywhere near them. The committee goes t o the room and t a k e s two d e c k s , one red and one b l u e , t h e i r own s e l e c t i o n . How any one o f them that i s used t o h a n d l i n g cards opens the two decks and r i f f l e s h u f f l e s t h e two decks together. Ifow t h e y d e c i d e on e i t h e r c o l o r . You n e v e r know which c o l o r t h e y d e c i d e on. They take the top ten cards t h e y come t o o f that c o l o r and t h e s e are the cards t h e y n o t e and seal,- e t c . , and you are l a t e r able t o name the c a r d s . Unknown t o them, the mere a c t i o n o f s h u f f l i n g ( r i f f l e s h u f f l i n g ) the two decks t o g e t h e r d o e s n o t d i s arrange the o r d e r o f each deck by i t s e l f . On t o p o f that,- they are of the o p i n i o n that the decks have n e v e r been opened. Here i s another method, u s i n g j u s t one deck and the r i f f l e s h u f f l e princle. Have the m i d d l e 20 cards of the deck s t a c k e d so t h a t you know what t h e y a r e . Then have person take and break the s e a l on the deck and open i t , then d e a l the top 26 c a r d s onto the t a b l e , f a c e do.m, one at a t i m e . Then turn t h i s s t a c k f a c e up and s h u f f l e i t i n t o the remaining f a c e down s t a c k . In o t h e r words the twot h a l v e s are r i f f l e s h u f f l e d f a c e t o f a c e , so h a l f are one way and half the o t h e r way. How, they hold the deck e i t h e r way and run through i t and remove the f i r s t ten f a c e down c a r d s t h e y ccme t o . You w i l l m e r e l y have to know which s e c t i o n they want and you w i l l know the ten cards-.
