Diabolical Super Bowl XLI Prediction Accurately predict the winner winner of Super Bowl XLI! That’s right, right, just place place your sealed prediction in full view at at the beginning of the big game and when it’s opened by ANYONE at the end – your prediction inside names the winning team! The entire effect is virtually vir tually self-working. This is Trickshop.com’s Trickshop.com’s third annual release of this FREE prediction – an effect that has been performed per formed successfully around the world and has even been seen on local TV! THE EFFECT At the beginning of the Super Bowl, you announce that you’ve predicted the winner of the game and you’ve sealed your prediction inside an envelope. This envelope is now placed in full view for all to see. At the end of the game, you you allow anyone to open it and prove you indeed accurately predicted the winner of the contest everyone just watched. HOW DOES IT WORK? We cheat of course! The basic modus operandi is the use of a “coded “coded prediction.” This principle has been employed successfully in various effects over the decades. Here’ Here’ss the basic idea behind it. When the prediction is removed, it’s written in a simple code; which after being deciphered reveals the prediction in plain English.
And therein lies the secret. In the case of our prediction, we have “four” “four” different different keys (only two of which you’ll need on Super Bowl game day). These keys can be used to decrypt decr ypt the SAME exact code numbers. Each key will reveal one of the nal four teams still in contention: AFC TEAMS

As already mentioned, you’ll only need two keys to predict the Super Bowl (one for the winner of the AFC Championship and one for the winner of the NFC Championship). Your audience, however however,, is only ever aware of the existence of ONE key – the one you want them to use. And that key is never introduced until the end of the effect. Note: You can also use the keys provided to predict the conference championship games as well. Obviously Obviously,, if you do, you you should not use this methodology to predict the winner of the Super Bowl for the same audience.
The handling should be readily apparent, apparent, just place one key in one pocket and the other key in your other pocket. If the game is a blowout in the 4th quarter and the nal outcome is assured, you can covertly position the correct key k ey in “the open” before the end of the game. Perhaps, Perhaps, across the room from where you are sitting. Do not draw attention to it, however however,, until it is needed. Then, Then, point it out. Say,“Oh, the key to decode my prediction is over there.” The assumption will be that it, too, has been in full view the whole time. If you have time, it’s not a bad idea to destroy or hide the alternate key before the nal revelation takes place. Of course, you can also use a two-way envelope with a prediction on each side. This takes more work and is by no means necessary for informal performances. WRITING YOUR PREDICTION Each team name has been abbreviated, so it takes up exactly 10 characters. “THE “ THE SAINTS” are the only team that has a space in their name, when decrypted. Graphically, Graphically, we can prepare a simple chart with 10 columns, each with it’ it ’s own unique heading – L1 through L10. These tie in with the decryption key. By writing in the appropriate code numbers on the top row row,, a spectator has space below to write in the corresponding letter after referring to the key. Figure 1 below shows the prediction decrypted using the Chicago Bears key. This brings us to an important point. Make sure that the spectator understands they must use the appropriate “individual key” key ” for for each letter letter.. In other words, L1 for L1, L2 for L2, and so on. This may seem obvious, but it’s something easily overlooked by the spectator spec tator if not properly reinforced.

THE SUPER BOWL CODE KEYS Cut out the key for each Super Bowl team. Please note, it’s easy to tell which key will predict which team by simply looking in the lower right corner of each key. Look at the last place (row 27) for columns L9 and L10. For For the New England Patriots, you’ll you’ll see an “NE”; for for the Indianapolis Colts, you’ll you’ll see “IN”; “IN”; for the Chicago Bears, you’ll see “CB”; and nally for the t he New Orleans Orl eans Saints, S aints, you’ll see “SA” “SA”.
