9 EXAMS 9.1 Admission to the examination For this module to the examination to be admitted, you must work 01 assignment on or before the specified date beforehand. If this assignment is not timely submitted, you will not examination to get admission. 9.2 Semester Mark The advantage that the submission of assignments will bring you is that you have a semester to earn point together with your mark will be added to your final mark for the module to calculate. The semester mark of 25% of the final mark and is calculated as the percentage of points you for each assignment has earned: Assignment 01: up to 5 percentage points Assignment 02: up 20 percentage points If any such assignment 01 filled and 80% (16 out of 20) in the course, and assignment 02 with 65% (65 out of 100), the person's semester mark is calculated as follows: 4 percentage points for assignment 01 and 13 for assignment 02. This means that you are 17 out of 25 found as a semester mark. Your mark of 100 is now recalculated to pick out 75. If someone 16
44% in the exam, the exam mark is calculated as 33 out of 75. The 33 and 17 are counted together and the final point is a minimum of 50%. Should not someone Assignment 2 filled or a very weak point in the mission achieved, then his weak point his basement semester, though he made a pass in the examination. If you eg. 2 out of 5 for Assignment 1 and found no Assignment 2 filled, then you go 2 year mark of 25 be. If you get 60% in the examination (= 45 out of 75), then your final mark so 47 out of 100, which represents a failure point. It will therefore be very foolish not to bother to try to make a good point scored in work assignments. A table might make this point clearer: Assignment 1 Assignment 2 Year Mark
of 25 Exam Exam calculated from 75 Final point A student 16/20 = 4/5 65/100 = 13/20 17 44/100 33 17 + 33 = 50% (Pass) Student B 8/20 = 2/5 not submitted: 0/20 2 60/100 45 2 + 45 = 47% (Fail) 9.3 Supplementary examinations The examination is written in the semester for which you registered, if you so for Semester 1 enrolled, you need the May / June 2012 to write, if you enroll for Semester 2, you must examination in October / November 2012 examinations. Students are a possible reassessment in the subsequent semester, in other words, if a student in the May / June examination fails, he / she October / November the re writing. One paper of two hours is taken and the subminimum for the supplementary fee is also 40%.

DEEL 1 Teks en Leser: Inleiding in die literêre kommunikasieproses Dosent: Me. Linde Beer Kontakbesonderhede (Vir navrae oor die werk self.): Telefoon: (012) 429-6925 E-pos:
[email protected] Faks: (012) 429-8094 (Vir aandag: Me.
Two. 3. Questions Ek stel hieronder TWEE vrae.
punte beantwoord. Vraag 1 (verpligtend) Dink jy “Hot Gates” is 'n literêre teks, of bloot 'n populêre luisterliedjie?

Alle vrae in hierdie deel moet in Afrikaans beantwoord be. Please note that you only have to study ONE of the prescribed texts (See 4.1). All questions in this sections must be answered in Afrikaans.
AFK1501/101 35
Two. Studente mag vrae in hierdie deel slegs in Afrikaans beantwoord.
Please answer only ONE of the questions to the value of 50 marks in Afrikaans. Students for whom Afrikaans is not a first language, may benefit from the English summaries at the end of each study unit in the study guide. This will aid your understanding of the prevailing discourse. Questions in this section should be answered in Afrikaans only. BEANTWOORD SLEGS VRAAG 1 OF VRAAG 2 IN AFRIKAANS. Question 1 1.1(a) Wat beteken die term “post-koloniaal”? Gee 'n kort verduideliking. Raadpleeg studie-eenheid 1 in jou studiegids (pp. 76-84).
(15) Totaal: [50] OR
Question 2 2.1(a) Wat verstaan jy onder die term ubuntu?
By vraag 3 kies jy 3.1 OF 3.2.
(Is dit 'n ek-verteller of 'n ekst erne verteller?) Waar speel hierdie verhaal af? (Watter ruimte?) Is sy chauvinisties of seksisties? Hoekom sê jy so? Is hulle chauvinisties of seksisties? Hoekom sê jy so? (5) Jou antwoord moet maksimum 5 reëls lank wees. [15] AFK1501/101 39
VRAAG 2 Vooraf: Lees die verhaal Vir vier stemme (Hennie A ucamp) (Leesbundel , Band 2, bl. 461 - 477) eers aandagtig deur. Gebruik die volgende vrae as riglyn wanneer jy die verhaal lees: Wie vertel hierdie verhaal? (Is daar meer as een verteller?) Waar speel hierdie verhaal af? (Watter ruimtes?) Wie is di e drie hoofkarakters?
Skryf haar naam neer. Watter belangrike rol speel hy in haar lewe? Watter karakter word a s 'n “otter” beskryf?
(Jou antwoord moet maksimum een bladsy lank wees.) ( 20) OR Vooraf: Lees die verhaal “ Pampas” in Twee vroue aandagtig deur. Gelukkig of ongelukkig?
(Jou antwoord moet maksimum een bladsy lank wees.) Beantwoord nou die volgende vraag: 3.2 Sou jy Pampas as 'n “tradisionele” liefdesverhaal klassifiseer? Waarom sê jy so?

[email protected] Faks: 012 429 8094 (Vir aandag: prof.
Two.
geval is – slegs jou eerlike mening is aanvaarbaar!
☞ If Afrikaans is not your home language, consider selecting and answering question 1 in English. Remember, you may answer this section of your assignment in Afrikaans or English. VRAAG 1 (keusevraag) Martie Preller: 'n Haas moet doen wat 'n haas moet doen Vraag 1.1 Verduidelik kortliks, en met verwysings na die boek, hoe die volgende aktualiteite na jou mening in Preller se teks na vore tree: / With references to the text, briefly explain how the following topicalities emerge from your reading of Preller's book: (a) genderkwessies ( gender issues ) (10) (b) ekologiese kwessies ( ecological issues ) (10) [20] ☞ How to answer this question A. In (a), first provide a brief description of your understanding of the meaning of the words “gender issues”. If you do not know what these words mean, read section 1.4.1, starting on page 130, in the study guide. Follow the same procedure with (b). First determine what is meant with the expression, “ecological issues”. Regrettably, the study guide does not provide a clear definition of ecology . However, you could read the explanation on page 260, and then present your interpretation as the introduction to (b). In each case your introduction counts two points. 44
Two. In the second part of both your answers, you have to point out and briefly describe examples of issues. Consult page 207 in the study guide for an indication of how you could answer these parts. 3. Try to present your own examples, and add an interpretation to each. For example, do the characters in the book show resemblences with humans you know? Does the narrator take sides? [email protected] Faks: (012) 429 8094 (Vir aandag: Me. L. Jacobs) 1 Inleiding Indien jy hierdie deel (deel 5) gekies het, moet jy 4.1 deeglik bestudeer sodat jy weet watter voorgeskrewe boek jy moet aankoop. Two. Question 1 Hierdie vraag handel oor studie-eenheid 2 (bl. 233-242).
Men gooide hem in het water.
