Unit Objective Students will be able to evaluate their previous knowledge and competences taking a diagnostic TOEFL ITP test.

At the end of the lesson, students will be able to:  be familiar with the differences among TOEFL tests, format, completion, and scoring types.

At the end of the lesson, students will be able to:  be familiar with general tips regarding TOEFL ITP test. At the end of the lesson, students will be able to:  get familiar with the areas of the full test;  evaluate their prior knowledge and competences regarding TOEFL IPT test performance. At the end of the lesson, students will be able to:  figure out about the general overview of listening comprehension section on the TOEFL ITP test;  recognize different general strategies for the listening comprehension section on TOEFL ITP test. At the end of the lesson, students will be able to:  be familiar with the format, directions, and types of questions that are asked on short dialogue section on the TOEFL ITP test;  monitor and use time effectively in this section of the TOEFL ITP test.

3. Structure /Written Expression Section

Students will be able to expand their knowledge about the structure/written expression used in academic contexts.

At the end of the lesson, students will be able to:  be familiar with the format and directions of long conversations section on the TOEFL ITP test;  monitor and use time effectively in this section of the TOEFL ITP test. At the end of the lesson, students will be able to:  be familiar with the types of questions that are asked in long talks section and identify the most effective strategies to use when answering them;  monitor and use time effectively in this section of the TOEFL ITP test. At the end of the lesson, students will be able to:  get familiar with the areas of the full test;  avoid doubts when facing to the real test. At the end of the lesson, students will be able to:  get familiar with Tips and strategies regarding structure and written expression section;  solve grammatical exercises by applying the tips studied in class. At the end of the lesson, students will be able to:  identify clauses in a sentence;  differentiate sentences with multiple clauses between sentences with reduced clauses;  write sentences with inverted subjects and verbs. At the end of the lesson, students will be able to:  apply the rules seen in class when solving exercises regarding subject/verb agreement;  work with parallel structures;  differentiate between comparatives and superlatives.
