The "Front' panel of ReverbX is fairly self-explanator self- explanatory y. Input level and common parameters such suc h as delay, delay, decay, decay, damping, room size, diffusion, etc. are accessable accessable via fader controls or by clicking on the associated number box and entering a new value. Fine tuning of the faders may be achieved by holding down the "Ctrl' button while moving the fader with your mouse.

ReverbX has eight main algorithms which can be selected by clicking the box shown (below). Each Algorithm offers a unique set of ReverbX parameters.. In other words, not all controls are available on all algorithms. The dots next to the algorithm name are a reference to give parameters a basic idea of CPU requirements for for each algorithm. A true CPU meter is located directly below the algorithm name, name, it offers a more precise representation representation of CPU usage. usage. NOTE: Auditorium, Large Large Room, and Bright Hall will probably probably not run real-time(multi-tr real-time(multi-track) ack) on less than a 933mhz machine. In instances where you wish to use these algorithms, we recommend applying them 'offline' to save CPU. However, real-time previews for these algorithms may be achieved using a 2-track editor on a much slower machine (~800mhz).

NOTICE: ATTEMPTI TTEMPTING NG TO TO USE LARGE ALGORITHMS WITHOUT THE 'CPU CAPACITY' CAPACITY' TO TO DUE SO MAY MAY CAUSE YOUR SYSTEM TO STOP RESPONDING!!!

ReverbX also contains 2 PAGES PAGES for each algorithm. Page 2 contains the EQ parameters as well as high and low cut filters. Low frequency reverberation reverberation often causes an unwanted 'muddying' effect. For this reason, all (factory) default presets are shelved at 125hz.

The EQ is essentially a 1 band parametric EQ with boost/cut, bell size(Q), and frequency controls... We labeled it 'Notch', even though it also does ''boost" ''boost"...sorr ...sorry y. :)

An example of 'limited parameters' parameters' on some algorithms...this algorithms...this is 'correct'.

Now to the fun stuff... ReverbX (like all sonictimeworks sonictimeworks plugins) has a 'built-in' (or, as our European staff likes to say, say, a 'build-in') preset system. We strongly recommend using this system, as your presets will travel with you from one sound application to another. another. The preset system is available by by 'right-clicking' any unused unused portion of the plugin. This is also where you will find the factory presets. It is quite simple and easy to use.

You may also notice "Left to Right Gradient", Gradient ", "Set Background Colour" 1&2, etc... etc. .. these are to keep you from getting bored, enjoy... "Set Background Bitmap" will accept any 750x167 .bmp file, so have fun and mail us your cool skins...

Presets & How to use them If you right-click on an unused area of the plug-in, you will see a popup-menu. From there you can: Save a preset Load a preset Quick-load a preset, by selecting the preset you want to load in the sub menu.

How to Import Presets When you installed the plug-in you were asked for a destination directory. That directory has a sub-directory called "ReverbX", and inside that, another another,, called "Presets". If you did not change the 'default' directory, directory, i.e., you hit 'next' > 'next' > 'next' through the installation, then your presets will be in c:\program files\timeworks\ReverbX\Pr files\timeworks\ReverbX\Presets\  esets\  All presets are actually files, one file for each preset, and every preset copied (drag and drop is fine) into the above mentioned directory will be selectable from the menu when using the plugin.

How to export them When you installed the plug-in you were asked for a destination directory. That directory has a sub-directory called "ReverbX", and that another one called "Presets". If you did not change the 'default' directory, directory, i.e., you hit 'next' > 'next' > 'next' through the installation, then your presets will be in c:\program files\timeworks\ReverbX\Pr files\timeworks\ReverbX\Presets\  esets\  All presets are actually files, one file for each preset. If you copy '.stp' files from that directory directory,, other users will be able to share your plugin presets, no matter what application they use. Also, making backups backups of your '.stp' (preset) files may may be a nice idea. :)
