CHAPTER 3 SUMMARY, FINDINGS, CONCLUSION & RECOMMENDATION SUMMARY This study aimed to determine the relationship between the relationship between the profile and the degree of skill of the Level $ BSN students as basis for the proposed time management skills seminar. Specifically, this study sought answers to the following questions: 1. What is the profile of the respondents in terms of: 1.1 Age; and 1.2 Gender? 2. What is the degree of skill on time management of Level 4 BSN students on: 1.1 Planning; 1.2 Organizing; 1.3 Controlling; and 1.4 Evaluating?
§ 48
3. Is there a relationship between the respondents’ age to their degree of skill in time management? 4. Is there a relationship between respondents’ gender to their degree of skill in time management? 5. Based on the findings of the study, what action plan may be proposed?
This research utilized the descriptive-correlational design. The descriptive-correlational design is a non-experimental study that describes relationships among variables rather than to infer causeand-effect relationships. 299 questionnaires will be distributed to selected level IV respondents. The questionnaire has two parts. The first part contains the respondents’ profile. The second part contains time management skills grouped according to category (planning, organizing, controlling, and evaluating). Prior to answering the questionnaires, brief and precise instructions are given. After the data has been gathered the researchers tallied and totaled the results of the degree of skill in time management by category (planning, organizing, controlling,
and
evaluating).
The
data
is
then
analyzed
and
interpreted; the results of which will then be a basis for a proposed time management seminar.

FINDINGS The following were the relevant findings drawn from the result of this study: Out from the Profile of Respondents, most of the students belong to the age bracket of 20- 40 years old with 61.2%. Majority of the respondents are female with 64%. In terms of Degree of Skill on Time Management, with a grand mean of 3.17 the Level IV BSN students are Moderately Skillful in Planning.
With a grand mean of 3.11, the
Level IV BSN students are Moderately Skillful in Organizing. With a grand mean of 2.87, the Level IV BSN students are Moderately Skillful in Controlling. With a grand mean of 2.95, the Level IV BSN students are Moderately Skillful in Evaluating. The chi square value of 27.09 suggests that there is no significant relationship between age and the degree of time management skills of Level IV BSN students. The chi square value of 6.87 suggests that there is no significant relationship between gender and the degree of time management skills of Level IV BSN students.
§ 48
CONCLUSION Based on the findings of the study, the researchers conclude that the degree of skill on time management of Level IV BSN students is Moderately Skillful. There is no significant relationship between the respondents’ profile and the degree of time management skills of the Level IV BSN students of the University of Cebu-Banilad.
RECOMMENDATION Based on the findings of the study, the following recommendations are presented: Furthermore,
the
following
recommendations
are
formulated: 1.
To implement time management skills enhancement seminar for BSN Level IV students.
2.
For future researchers, to consider some variables not included in the study.
