The beginning ou all hit a point in your life when you felt that there must be something more. You know, that dull feeling once you gure out out the basic rules of the game and the
dedication, they started to carry a piece of coal, symbolizing the re that engulfed the late Maximilian. There were those - including Darius Henderson,
mysteries somehow vanish. A Facebook page caught your attention. There were some stories, mainly historical. Theories about the Hotel Roosevelt re, on December 29, 1963. The theories involved mythical creatures, political intrigue, and moral consequences. You You like this sort of stu. It might be a bit morbid to repaint the tragic re with a story like that, but what the heck? Right? So you engaged, it seemed like some harmless har mless fun. No big stakes, just a game of imagination to dull out the pain of waking up to another fucking boring show of the hamsters running circles in their cages. Besides, the best theories had a chance to win! J Just ust when the theory game started to get crazy, crazy, like vam-

Darius did not think Al-Rashid was involved howhow ever,, instead, he suspected the intrigue of someone ever from the clan Toreador in the background. Seneschal Felicia Felicia Hernandez used to be very ecient and managed the Prince’s interests with an iron hand. Many would say - with a brutal, blood-soaked hand. Her rival Isabella Johnson was almost right-away apa ppointed as the new Seneschal, even before the prince had been elected by the Primogen. This, for obvious reasons, raised a few eyebrows. eyebrows. Speculations rose and Darius was at the forefront forefront of the investigation, up

The theories Shortly after sunrise on December 29, 1963, a re broke out in the ballroom of the Roosevelt Roosevelt Hotel, claiming the lives of 22 victims. According According to ocial reports, all the victims died of smoke inhalation. Newspapers have been writing about the tragedy for weeks, but no article mentions the other four bodies that were carefully removed from prying eyes, never to be discovered by those who shall never know of the Kindred and the Masquerade. Masquerade. Two of the bodies were lled with bullets, while the other two mysteriously burned to dust. The night after the incident, Jacksonville’s Jacksonville’s Kindred learned lear ned that the city’s Prince, Brujah Maximilian Newberry, and the city’s Seneschal, Felicia Hernandez of the Toreador Toreador clan had met their nal death. For a short time, the Primogen ruled the city, but after a few weeks and many secret bargains, the Ventrue Anthony Al-Rashid has emerged as the t he new prince. There were some Kindred who felt they owed their loyalty to the former prince, so they began a private investigation. The Brujah, who were extremely loyal to the former Prince, demanded to nd out out the truth. As a sign of their 2

Shortly after the Malkavian’s disappearance, his prodigy set up a Facebook page to recruit fresh ideas to explain what had happened that morning in 1963.
The arrival You’ve arrived in in Jacksonville on the morning of the 26th of December in 2010. This day is a special one, for in Jacksonville the snow is a rare occurrence. The ight was ne and you’ve touched down down at 7:58, that’s kind of a missed opportunity.. How much nicer it would have been was it 8 am sharp? The ight opportunity lands at Jacksonville Jacksonville International Airport (JAX) just north of Downtown, in Springeld. You’ve chosen the Hyatt Regency Hotel in the city center. It was good enough and - most importantly - fucking cheap. For 3 nights only 545 dollars. The weather is chilly, around -1 degrees Celsius and it snows quite a lot, but still, it’s not that shocking like the locals make it to be. The snow turns to rain in an hour and subsides by noon just to turn into a freaking heavy rain by the early afternoon almost ruining a night that promises to be great. Your host - for whatever reason - set the start of the party at 5 pm. Since boose is on the house you get right down to it. Once the sun sets around 5.30 pm, host arrives nally. What a crazy coincidence, his name is Liam, just like in those crazy vampire-re-prince theories!

Help! - a weak voice calls out near you. What… is… - It is Ashley, but her voice cracks. As you turn, you lock eyes with your host, Liam. Set Up Once the characters are awakened and open their eyes to the darkness in a way, they have never seen, they are attacked by an assassin that drives a stake through Liam’s heart in front of their eyes. eyes. The assassin informs the players that he is Malik Al-Shared and he is managing the Prince’s business. Liam had to die because he set in motion some things that might pose a danger to the Kindred of the city. city. The protagonists’ embrace was not sanctioned, therefore they must die, but Malek also mentions that: If they could reveal reveal Liam’s plans, plans, he could bring it in front of of the Prince and the characters might just get to “live”. At this point, Liam reaches to the assassin’s assassin’s neck. The assassin turns and cuts o the Malkavs head but not before Liam also succeeds. The two bodies fall to the ground headless. Both of them turn to dust. No more explanations, explanations, just a bunch of pa pa-pers and a map on the wall. The characters are left alone. The players should introduce their characters in brief terms, establishing their their relationships with the other members of the coterie. In scenes lasting no longer than ve minutes apiece, the players should then discuss the ways their characters deal with the situation. Only the storyteller should read beyond this point!

Introduction Setting Jacksonville is the largest city landwise in the United States and encompasses the entirety of Duval CounCounty. It has been the reigning murder capital of Florida every yyear ear except a few since the inception of criminal statistics. The crime rate remains consistently the highest and it gave the city the names such as “Murderville, the bang’em where they hang em, JacknKill, DirtyDuval, Jackganistan and more.” Hood life and street life are ripe given the passionate tendencies among the inner groups. Generational gangs and neighborhoods are separated by streets, and rather than having specific hoods or sides of town - the predominant aliations or “hoods” are singular streets or small areas separated by gentried or gated/secured areas. Jacksonville was one of the last cities to desegregate and that reality is felt within the community; however, Jacksonville is a huge hub of culture, art, passion, diversity, and history. There is so much to say about Jax. It was once known as the Harlem Harlem of the South. It is the biggest city in Amer-
ica as far as landmass. It is the city where so many great contributors to black culture were born. The writer

No dice juggling should derail the story unless it is directly aecting the nal outcome or might otherwise lead to disagreement.

Embrace of a broken mind
The protagonists are cornered and the scenario hinges on whether the characters want to investigate or not. It is for this reason that t hat they must choose to investigate. While the Storyteller should keep up the appearance appearance of free choice at this point, there is no such thing. In case the characters try to run, they are hunted down. Example scenario:
The characters run: The Sheri, Samuel Cooper, got to know about Isabella’s order and tries to catch up with Liam to warn him. Instead of Liam, he encounters the protagonists. He is a powerful vampire of almost 200 years. The characters have no chance in case they try to ght him. Samuel will accuse accuse the characters of killing Liam, assuming that they are a gang of AnAnarch assassins. The players cannot run but must prove prove to the sheri who they are (Charis (Ch aris-ma + Awareness)
If the Sheri is convinced: (Diculty 5+) Since the characters were part of the group that brainstormed on Liam’s theorize, they can help shed light on it and present the ndnd ings to the Primogen at the Art Center CoCo operative on Tuesday, the 28th. They will be given the right to live and the gratitude of of the Kindred of the city. city.

Travel to Hotel Roosevelt and the Galleries: In the center, the streets are well lit, monumental buildings tower over the protagonists, but the monotony of high-rise blocks is cut by by large openings and squares. Decorated with ChristChristmas lights, the statues of long-gone heroes of the nation watch on as the characters roam the city night. While in other parts of Jacksonville Jacksonville most businesses close around 11, in the center, center, restaurestaurants, bars, and cafes stay open almost throughout the night. Visitors and long-time residents alike are treated to a wonderland of lights adorning the inner city. The show begins at the Friendship Fountain, with a stunning holiday tree in the center center,, queen palms, and oaks strung with lights and stretching out to illuminate all of the west-end of the t he Southbank Riverwalk adjacent to the Museum of Science and History. A vast the shipyard and empty spaces and surround Warehouse. The parking only structures objects around the once-ourishing complex are the remains of trash ranging from sofas and fridges to mounds mounds of diapers and barrels of waste from who-knows-where. Though they make for excellent impromptu cover cover in a reght, they add only an air of increased desolation to this already already ruined structure. One central building and several, surrounded by multiple smaller warehouses divide the beachline.
