The Master Key to the Mystery System of the Ankh The Secret of the Ankh is a pathway into the Mystery Systems. The Secret of the Ankh leads to the what is called called the God Particle or the Higgs Particle as told by the Ancient People of the Nile. The Secret of the Ankh also is in line with the Infinity Puzzle of Frank Close this where infinity (Heh) and its opposite nothingness (hehet) and Nwn (Dark Radition) and its opposite Nwnt (anti-matter) or and the resultant matter is analyzed in creation . I believe that I have decoded the Symbol of the Ankh. My findings are that the Ankh can no longer be viewed as just meaning life, but the creation of Life itself. The Cosmological Origin was first discovered by myself and my friend Sekou Fortune. I later expanded the base findings into a Blog that can be shared and read. This is only the first part of what I have discovered. Sometime this year 2012, I will begin to release the most important part of the Secret of the Ankh. Part II is Bigger than the ―Secret‖, Bigger than the Laws of Attraction. What is hidden is in plain site once you begin to understand Part I of the Secret of the Ankh. Part II will lead you on a straight path to Initiation because the Ankh means Life, but it also means Eternal Life. Up until June of 2011, I have always considered the Ankh an Egyptian or Kemetic Symbol and had decoded it using the cosmology of the Egyptians. However, Anna-Mari Pieterse from South Africa – who has read my work – directed me to look at the work of Michael Tellinger. His discoveries in South Africa show that the mysteries in Kemet began deep in Africa. Before I summarize, I want to open up the air by reading to you probably the most important inscription on any wall in the World. Though Hidden and overlooked this inscription deals with the oneness of the Creator and summarizes more than 5,000 years of Egyptian Cosmology – Hibis Temple – the center of the southern el-Khargeh Oasis Hymn to the Ba‘s of Amun _t should be memorized. Commissioned by Darius I after he sacked Kemet from the Nubians – he layed bare Egyptian Cosmology to spread to Asia. The temple writing clearly shows that the Egyptians knew of one creator but acknowledge they had used several names and several stories but the one arose out of the primordial ocean. The Secret of the Ankh is in here. You are Amun, you are Atum, you are Khepri, you are Re. Sole one who made himself into millions, Tatenen who came about in the beginning. You are the one who built his

body with his own hands, in every form of his desire. You are the great winged-scarab within Nut, who protected A heaven and earth in their entirety, while rising from Nun within the primeval mound. The Ogdoad rises [for him in] jubilation when he appears, they seeing by means of his [his first] manifestation as Horus-who-illumines, whose entire circuit is in the spit-fi re and [torch-fi re] of his eyes, having illumined the circuit of heaven with his great doubleplumes. My theory lives in here To summarize the concept in Part I (1)The Ogdoad Primordial Eight are the elements that created the Divine Creator according to the Egyptians. This is taken from one of the oldest cosmologies -of Hermopolis or Khmnu. (2) Aspects of this story are used in the creation of Ptah, Ra, Amen, Aten in the other creations stories. These all deal with just the creation of the Creator not with what existed before creation. (3) The symbol for the Ankh is the symbol with the Circle on top of the cross hairs – followed by the Mdu Ntr sounds of N and KH. (4) From the breakthroughs of translations we know the symbol was pronounced NKH or ANKH. The A is disputed and may have been added for convenience of pronunciation. Even if the Ankh is a triliteral – at this point there is no definitive way to show how it was pronounced. (5) If we return to the Ogdoad, the eight pairs are Amen Amenet, Nun, Nunuet, Kek, Kekhet, and Heh, Hehet. My theory is that the symbol took the names of the Ogdoad into consideration for its pronunciation. One must remember first that the Mdu Ntr is in fact the Sacred Words of the Ntrs or Deities. So there must be some root words are sounds that were used in the beginning and will continue to be used for words describing creation.

(6) The Ankh not only is a symbol of Life but the elements that create life. These elements are the Ogdoad and the Odgoad is essential for Life. The symbol Ankh is connected to the Ogdoad and I believe it gets its name from the Odoad. This is the secret of the Ankh. Let us continue. Wherever the Ankh is translated in Ancient Egypt Literature it must be re-translated with the following insight: The Ankh is the Life Code; The Egyptian‘s so-called ―Infinities or Chaos‖ Gods: Amen/Amenet, Nun/Nunet,Kuk,Kukhet, Heh/Hehet – the Ogdoad.; The Meaning of Life is no longer just a flat definition but a multi-dimensional definition of the scientific and possibly spiritual definition of how life was created itself. First though it may appear my work is not about phonetics, not about linguistics but linguistics have some bearing. The Secret of the Ankh can be approached two ways that lead to the same result. First I will look at the Ogdoad – the Primordial Eight and how these elements resolve themselves into Life. Second, I will look the Mdu Ntru symbol for the sound N which is a Wave and the Mdu Ntr symbol for the sound KH which Gardiner says incorrectly is a placenta but probably matter – are key elements of the symbol ANKH or NKH – Wave plus Matter produces the elements of Life or the God Particle. This is essentially a well proven theory of Dr. Oyiboe, as part of his GAGUT -Grand Unifying Theorem. I will use Dr. Oyiboe‘s expression but expand on it. Part I Before I begin talking about the Ogdoad, I want to discuss an important finding about the word ANKH to open up the doors. Mostly, we don‘t look at sounds having any mathematical principles unless the definition says to look in that direction. For example – the word Code – has a definition of some puzzle. An Astute problem solver would look into the word code itself to see its origins, its use, etc. The sound Ankh is a code. Let‘s begin to see why.

I will do it with the sounds that make up the Ankh and later look at the symbols. First the sounds. Let‘s look at the purmutations that make up the sounds ANKH. A – A, An, Ak, Ah N – N, Na, Nh, Nk H – H, Ha, Heh, Hk, Hn K – K, Ka, Kh, Kn, Km Well Look at this – The sounds combinations make are the beginning to many important words in Ancient Khemet and even important words that all languages stand on. From Kemet – I mean - An, Annu, N, Nu, Nun, , Kh, Kek, Ha, Heh, Heka including creating the words Amen, Nun, Keh, Heh and many more. The Diety Ptah – has said to be written in its earlier text Pet ta HeH. From the Catholic Encylopedia we find that Ptah of Memphis (An) is the ruler of infinity (Heh) and the Lord of Eternity (Tet). Some of these patterns make up the formula we are discussing. Ankh or Nkh, Some of these words find themselves in the Cosmological space that I am discussing now. For example – the word combinations that make up the ANKH also make up the elements of the name of the City of Eight where the Ogdoad precided -Khmn.

In addition we have AN – The City of AN – Heliopolis where another creation story comes from. We have elements of the soul Ka, Ah Of course we have the powerful sound that discribes a wave or vibration – N

From the Ethiopian Book of Life by Sir. E. A. Wallis Budge. Wallis Budge looks at the Greek Magical Papyri (Kenyon, Greek Papyri in the British Museum) There exist ABRACADABRA – Why is this word so magical. ABRACADABRA, BRACADABRA, RACADABRA, ACADABRA, CADABRA,ADABRA,DABRA,ABRA,BRA,RA,A The point is that Greeks, who derived their knowledge from the People of the Nile did have knowledge of palindrones and words form words. I can go on but the Doors have been Opened Part II So lets look at the Ogdoad itself. First the Egyptians called them the Hehu. They are represented by 4 pairs of primordial qualities, forces, or Deities. A = Amen/Amenet N = Nun/Nunet K = Kek/Kehhet H= Heh/Hehet ANKH If these are primorial creators or important forces then their names would probably primoridal sounds. Said or chanted together would be a word sound. This word sound can now be described as the Ankh

Before I continue, I do want to make note that in many Quantum Physics discussions, the God Particle or the Higgs Boson Particle is associated with a sound. Where as Dr. Beatty has guided me that phonetically that I have a problem because of the difference of the pronouncement of A sound in Ankh and the I/A of Amen/Amenet. At any rate, I should be able to continue with my Thesis because we have not heard the Ankh nor Amen/Imen pronounced in 1,000 years by an African native to the Mdu Ntr. It can very well be pronounced as NKH with the A silent. Additionally, the symbolic evidence is even more plausible. Also we see in the ANKH that water/nile /wave glyph that gives the N sound is also part of Nun/Nunet and even part of Amen/Imn. In addition, I have not found yet a Glyph that represents the A sound in ANKH. I have always seen it having the Ankh symbol and with the N sound and the KH sound. So there is at this point no proof that the symbol is pronounced the way we pronounce it. In addition, earlier I have shown that the root sounds of the Hehu/Ogdoad deities are used in other important Kemetic words as some root code. This dilemma – is like one that Dr. James Conyers once told me about. Paraphrasing, We have seen four thousand years of the pictures of the upper and lower crown on the Nwsts head. We assume that we have found one – but there exist none in any museum. Here we assume that the Ankh is pronounced with a long A sound – when we know the people of the Kmt either made them silent or did not pronounce them at all. This is what we call Paradigm Blindness. The Secret of the Ankh is a bold, fresh view to Egyptology and expands the field. The definition of the Ankh has not been challenged or expanded since its appearance in the Western World. The Ankh exist prior to creation, during creation, during life, during the time of transition, and in the afterlife. The failure to see the Ankh with this expanded definition is paradigm blindness. Important also is that the religion, history, spirituality, philosophy stands on its Cosmology. The Ogdoad/Eight/Hehu/Infinities/Chaos Gods are in aspects of all of the Kemetic cosmologies. In the cosmological studies, the Ankh does not appear until after the creation begins and the success is the life of the Creation God as Ptah, or as Amen. When the creator deity is born in Nun or the combination of the Ogdoad in Nun then

the symbol appears. The symbol of the Ankh is the Egyptian representation of the ―God Particle‖ or the ―Higgs Particle‖. I have a short post on cosmologies, plead read. Over the years, I have talked to many Kemetic Scholars, Priest/Priestess, people of the Kemetic Faith, or people who are involved in Kemetic organizations and I find that the majority do not know the cosmological systems of Egypt or have chosen one over the other without knowing that they interlock. I was lucky enough to know and read the Maat Kheru Dr. Jacob Carruthers work early on and I can say that this lead me to this analysis. The Secret of the Ankh is a Paradigm Shift and from the definition that author Joel Barker gives: A paradigm is a system of rules and regulations that does two things: First, some of the rules set limits or establishes boundaries-just like a pattern sets the edges. Then, the rest of the rules offer you guidance on how to be successful by solving problems that exist inside these boundaries-in a sense, they offer you a model for problem solving. So a paradigm is a problem-solving system. And a paradigm shift is when you change from one set of rules to another. Paradigm Blindness is when you can‘t see change or what is really happening because the rules that you are using are preventing you from seeing reality or the future.

The ANKH is a Paradigm because it solves a set off problems in the field of the study of Nile Valley Civilization, African Culture. If the Ancient People of Kemet did not want the common people to understand the laws of order, ―Ma‘at‖ – they simply would not have written it down on everything they could. There are few who claim that they belong to some Mystery System and then act as if this is some special preserve. The people of Kemet said otherwise, they said things such as, ―If you are a leader and command many, strive for excellence in all that you do so no fault can be found in your character‖. For Maat is Great; its value is lasting and it has remained unequal and unchanged since the time of the Creator Part I The Ankh represents the first key to the Mysteries ―The Creation of Everything‖. The Ankh means more than Life – it is the most ancient symbol of a code of sounds and primordial deities. The Ankh is actually the Names of the so called ―chaos‖ Deities of the Khemnu or Ogdoad: Amen/Amenet, Nun/Nunet,Ku/Kukhet,Heh/Hehet. – This

resolves itself to ANKH. The Ankh itself has four distinct sides and one of them is the Loop Nun/Nunet. These four pairs in were thought to be the Children of Tehuti and Maat. Both Tehuti (Vibration), Maat (Order) and the four pairs themselves have their own forces. Amen/Amenet is the hidden spark of life and its opposite , Nun/Nunet – is the primordial unformed mass and its opposite, Ku/Kukhet is the qualities of Light and its opposite, and Heh/Het is the qualities of infinity and its opposite. At some point the Eight fuse themselves together bounded by Maat and Tehuti and a Deity Ptah is formed out of this chaos – (the God Particle), he steps on a mound, Aton is formed and lands on his shoulder then The Ennead is created or the 9 deities. This is called the ―First Time‖ or Sp Tepii, Zep Tepi, Sep Tepii, Sep Tepi. Ancient Kemet is both Scientific and Spiritual. The Mysteries System of Egypt is also both Scientific and Spiritual. To begin self mastery one must understand how everything began. A child in Ancient Egypt would be told the creation stories, I described and grow up understanding Science and Spirituality. An African Child in the Diaspora would be taught one of the Major Western Religions and grow up with religion and later learn science and have to juggle between the two. Here is the beginning key to re-orientating African Thought, Practice, Spirituality, Redemption and Self Mastery. From the Video The oldest creation story Hermopolis – Khmunu creation story. This creation story has both Maat and Jehuty living in Khemnu which translates to the city of Eight. In the City of Eight (Khemnu) with Maat and Jehuty were four pairs of dieties, both male and female. This is called the Ogdoad by the Greeks.Maat is said to be the mother of the Eight!!!! Tehuti her Husband or Consort. The names of the eight were Nu/Nunut, Heh and Hehet, Amn, Amnt and Ku, Kukhet. They were associated with qualities such as primordial mass, infinity and its opposite, hidden forces and its opposite and darkness and its opposite. From the left image, you see the Goddess Maat and Tehuti on the far right image is the Ogdoad. From the Nile Valley Text: You [the Eight] have made from your seed a germ, and you have instilled this seed in the lotus, by pouring the seminal fluid; you have deposited in the Nun, condensed into a single form, and your inheritor takes his radiant birth under the aspect of a child (Edfu VI, 11-12, and Esna V).[xxix]

Coffin Text spell 76 names the four pairs, and connects the Ogdoadwith some of the Ennead: O you eight chaos gods, keepers of the chambers of the sky, whom Shu made from the efflux of his limbs, who bound together the ladder of Atum…I am Shu, whom Atum created, from whom Ra came to be.I was not fashioned in the womb, I was not bound together in the egg.I was not conceived, but my father Atum spat me out…together with my sister Tefnut… The bnbn of Ra was that from which Atum came to be as Heh (chaos), Nun, (the watery abyss), Kek (darkness),Tenem (gloom —substituted for Amun in this verse). Here is how the Ogdoad is traditionally presented

Here is the Ogdoad decoded:

Here is how the males look in the mdu ntr (Hieroglypics) – From Essays in Ancient Egyptian Literature, p 58 and 59

This is an ancient code – Take the first letters of each of the Ogdoad names and you get NHKI/ NHKA – Look again it resolves itself to INKH/ANKH. So, it seems coincidentally we get ANKH. Here the Ankh is written in the long form.

Here we see the most common usage of the Ankh – Here is the Symbol, the N – water ripple and the KH – Placenta?. The N can be pronounced, and the KH is pronounced. The sound of its symbol begins with the A similar the extend arm glyph. This I have to check. At any rate, the ripple water identifies it with possibly water, or wave. The Placenta has obvious meanings of birth. I am currently attempting to find out why the KH symbol is the placenta. It does not look like a Placenta at all. I have found that the KH sound is used in the Mdu Ntr of the placenta so that is why the symbol is referred to as a placenta. Obviously, the Ancient Egyptians knew about the placenta and knew how to draw it – it is found in the Narmer Pallete and the Wepwawet Standard in the Step pyramid. The symbol that is known as the sieve or placenta obviously has a meaning that contributes to the placenta, but may not necessarily be the placenta. Sekou Fortune who helped me discover the Secret of the Ankh and our new researcher Alfred ―Djehuti‖ Thompson II – Bro. Al, made an amazing contribution while we were at the ASCAC conference in Washington in August. They discarded Gardiner‘s and Budge naming of the KH sound as Placenta. They said that it could not be a Placenta for the following reasons: 1) the symbol is in equal parts 2) The people of Kemet knew how to draw a placenta 3) Cosmologically the placenta would have no place in the creation of everything – women and man were not created. 4) They challenged that symbols in relationship to the Ankh have cosmological references and the KH symbol may very well be Matter itself.

The KH sound also appears in other cosmological or important words and names in Ancient Kemet. These words include Khufu and TKN. Interesting enough Khufu full name is Khnum-Khufu which means loosely Khnum protects me. This is exciting because Khnum created man on the potters wheel. Khnum means to create. So there is a correlation with what he uses to create with. We believe this stuff is matter and a component of Life or the ANKH. In addition the KH sound again is used in Khepherra – Khepherra is the Dung Beattle that often symbolizes live as its young mysteriously appears from out of the dung in a flurry of Life. Bro. Al also commented brilliantly that the divisions of the KH symbol show – equal parts that of course add up to a whole. Thus he references the Ogdoad as equal parts – pairs of four. I challenged him that the parts don‘t always add up to Eight – He said that the point is that they add up to a Whole and that you can find the KH with four pairs but when you don‘t they still add up to a whole. We are further investigating because our friends who are in the academy challenge us to look at every occurrence and every categorize and compare. We are not in the academy and only which to expand the field. We will talk more on this later. Though we have been talking about Kemet/Egypt – Summeria has a God called Enki – who has some similarities with the qualities of the Ankh. The Summer God Enki is also

created in the Primordial Ocean. Further the People Annunaki also seems to derive itself from the work Ankh. It has some of the same root words Nun and Kh. Wikipedia has the name described as written ―da-nuna‖, ―da-nuna-ke4-ne‖, or ―da-nun-na‖, meaning something to the effect of those who from heaven came to earth. The A-nuna appear in the Enûma Eliš (Akkadian Cuneiform) is the Babylonian creation myth (named after its opening words). The opening tablet has a very similar opening to many of the creation stories of Ancient Egypt. Here is the Enuma Elis creation opening. e-nu-ma e-liš la na-bu-ú šá-ma-mu

When the sky above was not named,

šap-liš am-ma-tum šu-ma la zak-rat

And the earth beneath did not yet bear a name,

ZU.AB-ma reš-tu-ú za-ru-šu-un

And the primeval Apsû, who begat them,

mu-um-mu ti-amat mu-al-li-da-at gim-ri-šú-un

And chaos, Tiamat, the mother of them both,

A.MEŠ-šú-nu iš-te-niš i-ḫi-qu-ú-ma

Their waters were mingled together,

gi-pa-ra la ki-is-su-ru su-sa-a la she-‟u-ú

And no field was formed, no marsh was to be seen;

e-nu-ma dingir dingir la šu-pu-u ma-na-ma

When of the gods none had been called into being.

At some point I will continue with the Enki but at this time it is not necessary. The Enuma Elis dates to 7th century Bc. At this time more than 5,000 years of known Ancient Egyptian Culture has already passed. I want now to pose that the Ankh symbol in Mdu Ntr is a Formula for Creation in itself.

What I am saying is that after the Eight Joined or the Ogdoad Joined or the Khemenu joined there was some wave of energy or some sound wave (N) that went as fast as Heh/Hehet or Infinite Distance and Infinite Speed then separated Kek/kekhet – or created light from darkness for the First Time or Sep Tepi. This expression is no different then the Big Bang Theory and the resulting God Particle or Higgs Boson Particle Theory. Further the wave or sound is also an important component of the God Particle search. What I am saying again is what occurred in Khemenu is closely related to modern Quantum Physics. Boldly, I am saying that the Ankh in Mdu Ntry Hieroglyphics may be a representative of some formula like this Ankh = E=mc(2).

I purchased Laird Scranton‘s work recently, ―Sacred Symbols of the Dogon‖ – The Key to Advanced Science in the Ancient Egyptian Hieroglyphs and was stunned to see that he did not cover the Ankh in his work or the Ogdoad. This of course is because his focus was much more on the Dogon and that much of what he said can continuously be taken from that living culture. Also the Ankh is not obviously a common symbol between the two cultures from the evidence at hand. However, Laird‘s work opens up the problem solving door – Its the stem cell. He does cover however the N sign and the KH sound. Though his work is of Great Importance. This search reminded me of the Great Search of breaking the code of the Hieroglyphics. From Wikipedia – Champollion deciphered the hieroglyphs with the help of groundwork laid by his predecessors: Athanasius Kircher, Silvestre de Sacy, Johan David Akerblad, Thomas Young himself, and William John Bankes. Champollion translated parts of the Rosetta Stone in 1822, showing that the Egyptian writing system was a combination of phonetic and ideographic signs.

In breaking the code was a great competition in the European culture where careers were made and lost where the early predecessors basically went into obscurity. This is not the case in this discovery. Laird Scranton‘s work make the problem solving faster. Stunning, both myself and Laird Scranton are Computer Scientists. I received my degree in Comp. Sci from the City University of New York in 1988 taking courses from the famous Daniel D. McCracken, Dr. Micheal Anshel and others. However, my path lead to me to studying Egypt/Kemet under Dr. Leonard Jeffries, and was exposed to the many scholars in the the Association for the Study of Classical African Civilization, and First World Alliance Including: Dr. Yosef Ben Jochannon, Dr. John Henrik Clarke, Dr. Jacob Carruther, Dr. Maulana Karenga, Bro James Small, and Sister Rkhty Amen Jones and others. If I am indeed right and what Laird Scranton says in his book is right, then I have indeed broken the code of the Ankh- It is the Ogdoad and it is the only symbol that speaks to pre-creation, creation, and the transmission of energy in the after life. I would owe everything to the scholars that I studied under and particularly Dr. Rkhty Amen Jones because she first taught us in New York the Mdu Ntr. When Ancient Egypt began actually using the Ankh is unknown but we know that it was used before the so called dynastic times. During the reign of the first dynasty Horus Kings – Narmer, Aha, Djet, Den and Merineith, we see startling evidence of the use of the Ankh in this ―Pick‖ comb from Hr-Djet. This artifact is also startling because it is an indication of Ethnic Features and because it is made from Ivory – that would be found in the South. However, for these purposes, the Ankh is clearly what it is.

Both the Goddess Ma‘at and the Tehuti/Thoth will often be seen with the Ankh. With the Goddess Maat, you will often see the Ankh resting on her knees while she is sitting. In this dramatic photo – the Goddess Maat is in the hand of the Nwst. When the Goddess Maat is shown or used – she is represented for the qualities or attributes. Those qualities are Order, Justice, Righteousness, Truth. So here the Nwst or King has in his hand the Goddess Maat and what she represents. Maat is holding the Ankh in her hand. A flat analysis of the Ankh meaning life won‘t do. The Nwst who is God‘s representation on earth is holding Maat, the symbol of order and in this context social justice in her hand. She in turn is holding the Ankh. Taking a multidimensional analysis of the Ankh we see that she is holding the Ankh because it represents pre-creation, creation, and afterlife and that the Chaos Deities Amen/Amenet,Nun/Nunet.Heh/Hehet and Kuh, Kuhket have dominion.

In this photo, we see Tehuti pointing the Ankh at Nwst Seti I. Often times the Ankh is pointed at the mouth during a ritual called ―Opening of the Mouth‖. Again, in this very symbolic and ritualistic picture – Tehuti is using the power of the Ankh to usher the Nwst Seti I into the after life. A flat look at Tehuti, who himself is Vibration itself bounded by Maat who by using the Ankh is giving ―life‖ will not do. The Eight Chaos Gods embodied as the Ankh have primordial and eternal power. They are the both the primordial elements that ushered in life itself and the primordial elements that facilitate transition when energy is exchanged from one state to another.

The point that I have tried to make is that the 4 pairs of primordial forces or deities resolve themselves into the work Ankh. These primordial deities have a direct

relationship to the Attributes of the Goddess Maat and the attributes of the Primordial Diety Tehuti. The primordial deities were important to the creation story of everything. The general definition or the way that it is used is in the context of life. That the Ankh was in use early in the history of Egypt or Kemet. Finally, that it is conceivable if not immediately plausible that the Ogdoad or the Eight with Maat and Tehuti are the origin of life and the Ankh means life so that there is a direct connection. This cosmology with the Ogdoad, the Eight becomes startling when you look at the living Dogon Creation Story, Here we find the Eight again during precreation and again we find four pairs of deities. Part II Dr. Mario Beatty in his response, alerted me to the fact that the imn and Ankh have two different pronunciations and that this is problematic in my mapping of the Ogdoad to the Ankh at least phonetically. His point is well taken and I will take this in consideration -see his comments. However, I am attempting to decode the meaning of life and I see the relationship between the Ogdoad and the Ankh harder to separate then it is to connect. The mapping still applies in the context of Cosmology and the mdu ntr as ideographic symbology. I will simply at this point concede to this linguistic approach, but I will continue on a cosmology approach or an ideo. However, if we don‘t pronounce the Amen/Amenet (who is hidden anyway) and pronounce the NKH – I will proceed. Qualities of the Ogdoad or Hehu or Infinities or Chaos Gods as they relate to Life Let‘s look at the Ankh again -

The Ankh with the understanding about the Ogdoad can be looked at the following ways.

The N and KH symbols resolving itself to the Ogdoad = ANKH The N and KH symbols meaning wave and matter symbols = ANKH which is Life The Ankh representing the Ogdoad and the N and KH symbol = Ogdoad with wave and matter create Atum or Hydrogen. The Cosmology of Ancient links members of Eight in whole or in part to creation and life. They are necessary to life. In the Cosmological Stories the Prime Creator is born in Nwn, Nwnt. This includes Atun, Ra, Ptah, Aten, Amun. The Eight in whole or combined in Nwn and Nwnt can not be separated from the Ankh, because the formula is as the prime creator is created in Nwn /Nwnt then and only then does the Ankh appear. In addition, to begin looking at the qualities of the Eight in whole or part to begin to understand the deeper meanings let‘s look again at the Eight as they are drawn.

Let us return to Imn (Amun,Amen,Amon). In Laird Scranton‘s book, The Cosmological Origins of Myth and Symbol he looks at Imn from a symbolic view. On page 85. he says that Imn is ―that which weaves waves into particles from a place hidden from interference. Partial Inscription from Shabaka Stone – Translation by Dr. Theophile Obenga, African Philosophy. The Gods who came into existence in Ptah. Ptah who is on the great throne. Ptha-Nun, the father who made Atum. Ptah-Nunet, the mother who gave birth to Atum. Ptah, the Great Elder, the heart of the Ennead who gave birth to the gods, the tongue of the Ennead, who gave birth to the gods.

Partial Inscription form the Myth of Destruction of Humanity p. 165 African Philosophy by Theophile Obenga. Together with the the fathers and mothers who were with me when I was still in Nwn, as well as the deity Nwn himself…When it is over. I shal return into Nwn, where I came into exisence. Partial translation of Hymn to Amon-Ra, God of Thebes, African Philospohy by Theophile Obenga, p. 540. He who inaugarated existence, Amon, who coame into being in the beginning, none being aware of his emergence! There was no god who came into being before him. There was not other god with him to draw out his forms. There was no mother to give him a name. There was not father to engender him, claiming: ―It is I!‖ (he is) one who formed his egg himself. Mighty one of Mysterious birth, who created his own beauty, divine god who came into being on his own. All the gods came into being when he gave himself a beginning…. Amon, he who emerged from Nwn, guide to humanity. Another of his forms is the Ogdoad, Primordial gorup which gives birth to promoridal gods who give birth to Ra. TutAnkhAmun (The Living Image of Amun), called the boy king was born TuTAnkhAtn (The Living Image of Atn). Later, I will challenge the traditional meaning of these names. TutAnkhAmun

The Left Glyph is TutAnkAmun with the South Sign, Heliopolis An, and the Rulership symbol and the right is Neb Khepera Ra (Load of the Creation of Ra). TutAnkhAmun was put on the throne after the demise of Akenaten – most likely his father. During the reign of the Nwst Akenaten, he both disbanded the priesthood and replaced the deities Ptah and others with Aten. This period is called the Armana Revolution. I will attempt to cover the Armana revolution in another post – but it was faced paced replacement of the cosmology of Kemet/Egypt. Among the Artifacts buried with TutAnkhAmun, two of them are startling to my assertion. The first is the Ankh Mirror box.

Inside the Ankh is TutAnkAmun‘s name Neb Khepera Ra. It is a stylized Mdu Ntr. Here we see the Isle of Fire, the Kephera Beatle, the Feathers of time, the Netjer Ankhs (Cobras), the Shen signs (infinity connected directly to Heh), and finally the three Suns – Orion‘s Belt symbolizing Sep Tepi (The First Time). Why would the Egyptians/Kemetic people put this creation story inside the Ankh? Here the Cosmology Creation is not separable from the Ankh. In addition, the loop of the Ankh is actually serving as a Shenu/cartouche for the Nwst/Kings name. If the loop of the Ankh is Nun/Nunet as it is represented here and the King‘s name is inside of it – then this is evidence that that the Shenu is possibly Nun/Nunet. There is no doubt that the Shenu is connected to the Ogdoad Heh/Hehet. At any rate, the Ankh and the Shenu have similiar properties. They both have loops and they both have ropes and in at least one case the NebKhepreRa King‘s name was in the Ankh. In addition, the famous Ankh

Mirror of Amen Tut Ankh is significant because though the mirror has never been found, the mirror portion would represent Nun/Nunet or the primordial waters.

Before I leave the Ankh Tut Amun, I want to also show his wife Amun Ankh Ese – known to most of us as AnkhesAmun. Here are both their Glyphs together.

Here we see the Nwst AmunAnkhTut and his Wife AmunAnkhese both Husband and Wife were connected to the Ankh and connected to Amun representing an aspect of the Ogdoad. So this is primary evidence of the Ancients making a point of the Ankh and Amun in a Marriage. Here is Further Stunning Evidence. Here is the Tyet Symbol.

You will see the name Neb Kephera Ra inside of the Loop of the Ankh, You will see the Ankh serving as Shenu to hold the Kings name. Again Neb Khephera Ra is lord of the Creation of Ra and this happens within Nun/Nunet – This symbol is also incredible because it has the Ankh in the figure of a Human and will be later associated with Aset. This symbol like the Ankh has predynastic Egypt origins. Also stunning.

This one again has Neb Kephera Ra, but it also has Eight circles, and then nine fishes. Of the Eight Circles have an inner circle and they repeat circle (inner circle), normal circle as if frog and snake for the 4 pairs. In addition there are nine objects – which I believe represents the Ennead. Interesting that the four which are fishes, I can map to Tefnut, Nut, Neb Het, and Ast. and the five eggs I could map to Set, Asr, Geb, Shu, Atum. In addition, there is the Ankh, Shen and the Ntjer Ankh. The shen of course is closely associated with the ogdoad Heh. Also is the Ennead. Notice Five of them are Males and Four of them are female. Now return to the TutAnkhamun amulet there are four fishes and five eggs.

With the following in mind: 1) Amen/Amenet,Nun/Nunuet,Khu/Khukhet,Heh/Hehet – ANKH or NKH 2) The stylized creation story Neb Khephera Ra in the Ankh 3) The amulet with Neb Khephera Ra and the eight circles and the nine objects underneath – we turn again to the Nwst Tut Ankh Amun – clearly his name itself has a direct connection to one of the Ogdoad Amun. Further, we are not actually pronouncing the Kings Name correctly at all. Many Egyptologist confirm that the name would really be Amen Tut Ankh because precedence was given to the Diety name First – which would make sense. Now saying that we may have his name as Amun the living image of Ankh. This is a game changer. Here with this Nwst/King Tut Ankh Amun is is difficult to separate the ogdoad/eight from him. Further with all of this in mind and challenging the definition of the Ankh, we may see the Nwst now as not just the Living Image of Amun or the Amun the living face of Ankh- We may see him as Amun of the Combining of the Eight or Amun of the Ogdoad, Amun of the Eight Primordial Neters, Amun the Creator or as Professor James Small has put it so eloquently, God having a Human Experience. We can even use the Elijah Muhammad concept as God in the person. At any rate, we have a richer and more profound definition of this Glyph. The Glyph of Tut Ankh Amun is now combined with the cosmology and philosophy of Ancient Egypt. We see this interesting combination again with another restorer of Amun. The Nwst Pianky.

Here we see again as with Tut Ankh Amun – part of his name Pi Ankh ii referencing the ankh and the other part referencing the creation story with Khepera – mn khephera ra The Ancient Egyptians/People of Kemet/Ta Merii expressed their thoughts in writing and language in the Mdu Ntr which is both secular and spiritual and also in symbolic drawings and Jewelry.

Where the language rules may at first make my case less plausible if only for the Amn sound in attempting to code the Ogdoad directly into the sound of the Ankh, the Ogdoad in relationship to Egyptian cosmology is inseperable in the sacred text, art and jewelry. At the center of Egyptian Character is Good Speech. Speech itself is an attribute of Tehuti. Good Speech is an attribute of Maat and Tehuti. When the Egyptians speak they are speaking multiple concepts at the same time and often in multiple layers. The Egyptian Speech is carried to their culture, their science, their politics, their values, interest and principles. The Egyptian Speech in all of its vehicles is so complex that it is plausible that you can code complex ideas and even a secret language in their writing. So with the amulet- You cannot separate the Ogdoad from this piece of jewelry and given the fact that this was the restorer King, TutAnkhAmun born TutAnkhAten- we add what was he restoring. He was restoring the cosmologies of old that Aten attempted to dismantle and replace. What were those cosmologies. Which of them were the oldest? What was the history of the cosmologies. What cosmologies were simplified, expanded, merged. By the time we get to the 18th Dynasty Egypt was at least three thousand years old. And did Egypt start its civilization or did the plan of Egypt come from a place south to it. A place like Nabta Playa.

Why did the Priest put this stylized creation story in the loop of the Ankh?

In the Memphite Cosmology Ptah rises from Nun/Nunet. He has the Ogdoad in his mouth and creates the Ennead. Ptah is almost inseparable from the Ankh or is he inseperable from the Ogdoad.

The power of ideographics is that you don‘t have to speak, you just have to analyze. Symbols are a complex language in itself and these are not the only symbols that make the nkh/Ogdoad connect not only conceivable, not only plausible but the truth. Are we taking about the Big Bang in the Ankh, the first time ―Sp Tpii‖ , are we talking about the evolution of life on earth – We know one thing both these concepts are happening within the Ankh and we know that it is happening in the Loop and we know that the creation story that they are talking about happened in the waters of Nun.

From South Africa New Findings from Southern Africa: The following is from the Book Temples of the African Gods by Michael Tellinger and Johane Heine

This is what they say about this diagram: An Egyptian Ankh carved into a glacier slab at Dreikopseiland, South Africa. This petroglyph is worth a thousand words since the Ankh is inside a radiating circle; suggesting that the Lord of Light has the key to eternal life. It also suggests that the secret lies in the frequency of light or is linked to some kind of vibrational energy that combines sound and light. This knowledge would be consistent with the circular ruins of southern Africa that were used to generate energy by using sound and possibly also light. This understanding of the flow of energy in sound and light was rediscovered by Keely, Tesla and Rife in the late 20th century Normally symbols are very difficult to decipher especially when not in context but this symbol Ankh is within some matter/anti-matter storm – and the Egyptian Definition or descriptions of the Ogdoad – describe elements that would be in this type of storm and out of the result and because of the result is Life or Ankh. The Ankh has ultimately survived Kemet/Egypt. I will summarize this by saying that the Ankh will appear in Old Nubia – Dongola

Then the Ankh will appear in Christian Ethiopia in several forms. The first form you will see instead of the Ren/Name in the Loop of the Ankh, Faces. Most notably, Christ and His Mother. Then you will see the Coptic Cross

Then the Apostles faces will be in Nun

The Ethiopian Coptics will remake the Ankh Here I want to include a very important recent finding after I have reread The Ethiopian Book of Life – The Bandlet of Rightousness. by Sir. E.A. Wallis Budge. From x11 – in the footnote – In Codex A, p.54 is given a drawing of the Seal of Solomon. In the centre is what seems to be a gem emitting eight rays of light, and between double concentric circles are written the names HLYPT SLYT SPILT TR(?)YKT PP MRYT HLPT A(?)YLPT. Outside the cirles are the names DPP$ BRWLHT HKIKT TRKLT PPT PRISHT ALILT PPASHNT SHRI‘T PLISHT. The text continues ―These names shall be supporters, and protectors and deliverers and protectors against all diseases and sicknesses now; also before Kings and Governors, etc. On p. xiii – Drawings of the Seal of Solomon are found in many Ethiopic amulets, and they are claimed to be copies of the device which was engraved on the bezel of Solomon‘s ring. A prominent feature in all these drawings is a modified form of the Coptic Cross, whcih of course, proclaimes their non-Hebrew origin. Worked into the designs are two, four, or eight eyes, which indicate that the Seal was specially intended to protect the wearers of the amulets from the Evil Eye and from the attacks of fiends and the Devil.

Here is the powers of the primordial eight pairs surviving and being recoded into the Coptics. I will put the secret of secrets here because only you are probably to weary to read and make the corrolation http://www.donaldcorrell.com/road/goetia/goetia.html

coptic cross ankh The Qabbalist will use the Ankh

The Knight Templars will use the Ankh

Rosci As we speak, Scientist have just trapped Matter and Anti Matter or captured Nun and Nunet. Until 2010, Matter and Anti-Matter could not exist – when the two come together there is a violent explosion. See

http://www.cnn.com/2010/WORLD/europe/11/18/switzerland.cern.antimatter/index. html?hpt=C2 – Scientist Capture antimatter atoms in particle breakthrough. From the Article CNN) — Scientists have captured antimatter atoms for the first time, a breakthrough that could eventually help us to understand the nature and origins of the universe. Researchers at CERN, the Geneva-based particle physics laboratory, have managed to confine single antihydrogen atoms in a magnetic trap. This will allow them to conduct a more detailed study of antihydrogen, which will in turn allow scientists to compare matter and antimatter. Understanding antimatter is one of the biggest challenges facing science — most theoretical physicists and cosmologists believe that at the Big Bang, when the universe was created, matter and antimatter were produced in equal amounts. However, as our world is made up of matter, antimatter seems to have disappeared. Understanding antimatter could shed light on why almost everything in the known universe consists of matter. Antimatter has been very difficult to handle because matter and antimatter don‘t get on, destroying each other instantly on contact in a violent flash of energy. I want to give Credit to Bro. Sekou Fortune and Bro. Anthony Jordan, who helped decode the Ankh as well as my Mentors Dr. Leonard Jeffries, and Bro. James Small and the organizations and institutions that provided me an environment to understand Africa. These include: The First World Alliance, ASCAC, Department of Africana Studies at City College, The Schomburg Center for Research in Black Culture. To be continued. Before I leave, I want to double back on a few things that I had said in summary but I want to draw a major important part out. In Kemet there were several cosmologies and some of them were older than others. The Khemnu Cosmology where I draw my theory about the Secret Origins of Life or the Symbol Ankh is mentioned in several other cosmological text.

I had mentioned both an Amon Text and the Shabaka Text. The Amon Text is actually the Hym toAmon-Ra – it is found in the Leyden Museum, translated by andre Barucq and Francois Daumas as told by Theophile Obenga in his great work African Philosophy, The Pharaonic Period: 2780-330 B.C. – The other text found on what is called the Shabaka Stone which is an old kingdom text restored by Nwst Shabaka in 710 B.C. in the 25th dynasty found in the British Museum Both of these text while they describe the birth of the creator by other names such as Amon and Ptah – they include the early cosmology of the Khemnu in Part. This is an essential point about the cosmology of Khemnu is that its profound teachings on the pre-state of life ushering in life amazed even the People of the Nile so that the story of creation had to be embedded in other stories for validity. I have found that most of our scholars have missed this important point and have left their work flat and not pregnant as with the story of life springing forward as it does from the Khepera Beetle. So I believe my work ushers in a new era of relooking at the Secrets of Ancient Kemet or Egypt. I just recently found this article by Renata Tatomir which is extremely helpful to your understanding: http://www.it4s.ro/Renata%20Tatomir_Article_II%20CongressForYoungEgyptologists _Lisbon2006_orig.pdf This is also an important reading http://books.google.com/books?id=l4kQFwWZesMC&pg=PA51&lpg=PA51&dq=ogdoad +nn&source=bl&ots=NpS9ldhEFa&sig=2rnn4VJNNZ7WM3LokEExbt7cTk&hl=en&ei=Q5jbTtKYGuWU0QH6L32DQ&sa=X&oi=book_result&ct=result&resnum=5&ved=0CDgQ6AEwBDgK#v=on epage&q=ogdoad%20nn&f=false Posted in Uncategorized | Tagged ancient egyptian secrets, ankh, ankh definition, Ankh review, ascac, chaos gods, dark matter, dogon, dr. yosef ben jochannon, egyptian mystery system, egytian mystery system, energy, heh, hehet, hehu, hieroglyphics, infinities, jacob carruthers, james small, kh, kh sound, leonard jeffries, mdu ntr, nile valley

Egyptian Cosmology in Short Posted on August 25, 2010 by admin

Most people who study Ancient Egypt or those involved in the Kemetic Faith or Spirituality, actually do not know the cosmologies. The cosmologies are probably the most important aspect of understanding Ancient Egypt/Kemet. Kemetic Cosmology comes from an older and more ancient place. We have recently found that Nabta Playa in Nubia is much older than Egypt (6,000 bc) and the Megaliths there are a precursor to the Giza Plateau. Recently, we have seen that the Megaliths in Southern Africa are up to 100,000 years old and important to these Megaliths that act as a calender are ancient Horus carvings. See Micheal Tellinger‘s Book – Temples of the African Gods. Often overlooked in Egypt/Khemet is the God Khnemu. Khnemu is actually the earliest God of Kemet – Pharoah Khufu named himself after him – he was actually Khufu Khemenu. After him – his Sons replaced their names with Ra. Here is a section from The Legend of the Destruction of Mankind Then the Aged One himself (i.e., Ra) embraced (?) the god Nu, and spake unto the gods who came forth in the east of the sky, “Ascribe ye praise to the god, the Aged One, from whom I have come into being. I am he who made the heavens, and I (set in order [the earth, and created the gods, and] I was with them for an exceedingly long period; „then was born the year and ………. but my soul is older than it (i.e., time). It is the Soul of Shu, it is the Soul of Khnemu (?), it is the Soul of Heh, it is the Soul of Kek and Kerh (i.e., Night and Darkness), it is the Soul of Nu and of Ra, it is the Soul of Osiris, the lord of Tettu, it is the Soul of the Sebak Crocodile-gods and of the Crocodiles, it is the Soul of every god [who dwelleth] in the divine Snakes, it is the Soul of Apep in Mount Bakhau (i.e., the Mount of Sunrise), and it is the Soul of Ra which pervadeth the whole world.” Khnemu appears earlier in the Famine Text in the Third Dynasty – when Kemet is Plagued by Famine and Imhotep guides Djoser to pay attention to Khnemu. See Famine Text.

At some point Khnemu is replaced with Ra – However, the cosmology is basically the same. I wanted to include the following blurb from a blog because it interesting and requires further research: Of the Egyptian triad of primal creative deities (PtahTanen, Khnum and Herchef) the god Khnum comes closest to the Hebrew picture of the primal deity as creative artist. Khnum is a ram-headed god whose cult originated in Elephantine. He was like YHWH, a potter in creation who shaped men like a potter shapes with clay upon a wheel (the Hebrew picture of YHWH ‗loyim as primal potter is shown in Jeremiah 18:2-4). In Memphite theology Ptah, in his association with Khnum, is a dwarf spirit chief of the nine creative cosmic spirits collectively referred to as Khnum (―the potters‖). The nine Khnum spirits are represented in statuettes with muscular bodies, bowed legs, long arms and big heads. According to Memphite theology Ptah, assisted by the Khnum spirits, shaped the world and men like a potter shapes clay on wheel, thus, the dwarfs are often represented as earthenware elves. In the association of Khnum spirit with clay or earth, as medium of their creative expression, they are; often represented as dwelling underground, like artisans in subterranean workshops bring things to life from earthenware material; in the ―womb of the earth.‖ The idea of subterranean workshop of creative dwarf spirits taken to be ―primal potters‖ is widespread. The Chinese worshiped Pan Ku, Phoenician sailors revered dwarf statuettes. Creative dwarf spirits were associated with Tvashtar the ―Modeller,‖ in the Rig-Veda hymns. ―Black dwarfs‖ are identified as creative spirits in Teutonic mythology. The highest conception of Ptah the Primal Modeller in Egyptian theology was rather abstract. He was (as already mentioned) the embodiment of the Cosmic Ego and omnipresent demiurgic spirit, creator of all things. All things took shape or emerged from his creative mind. The writer JohnThomas Didymus is the author of ―Confessions of God: The Gospel According to St. JohnThomas Didymus.‖( http://www.resurrectionconspiracy.com/ ). If you have found this article interesting please read the article:CREATOR GOD AS SMITH-ARTIFICER: PROMETHEUS AS MESSIAH-SAVIOR FIGURE on his blog: http://johnthomasdidymus.blogspot.com/2010/11/creator-god-as-smith-artificer.html

Not surprising you find here – Khnum modelling men with the assistance of his wife Anquet holding an Ankh. It is apparent that Khnum and his eight never leave Egyptian Cosmology and Khnum never leaves Nubia. Key to this is creation and what assist in creation. Khnum has eight helpers called the Khnumu. Latter in the Shabaka Stone – Ptah will have eight helpers again. Here is Kemetic Cosmology references in short: The cosmology of Khmun or Hermopolis is one of the oldest cosmologies. At this point though Khnum and Khmun look closely similiar – one reflects the creative nubian deity and the other reflects a place – The City of Eight. However – The Hieroglyphic for the Khnum is a Jar to hold water or Nun and the City of Eight also contains this Jar.

There are several cosmology themes but existing with variations of weather one, several or different combinations of the the following primordial dieties Amen/Amenet, Nun/Nunet, Kuk/Kukhet, Heh/Hehet. Tuhuti was called their father is some text and Maat their mother in another text. In this cosmology some event explosion took place that caused the combining of the eight

References are the ―lake of two knives‖, ―island of flames‖. The cosmology of Khmun then combines with the cosmology of Yonew, Helipolis or On. In this cosmology precreation is not explicityl stated but Atum is created in some event with Nun and steps on the primieval hill and begins creation. The next cosmology is that of Menefer/memphite/Hikuptah Cosmology. Here Ptah takes the role of Atun and embodies in his mouth the Eight and creates the Ennead. From the Shabaka Stone – which is a later rewriting of the Memphite Coslomogy – Ptah (c. 700 BC) he is altogether identified as eightprimitive forms of God; the first is ‗Ptah who is upon the great (i.e. primeval) place‘, meaning the original spirit. Then Ptah-Niu – the waters ‗who was the father of Atum‘, next is Ptah-Naunet – ‗the Primeval Mother who gave birth to Atum. Then ‗Ptah the very great one who is the heart and tongue of the Divine Compay‘. Unfortunately several of the names have been lost to us, except Nefertum, the lotus. source:http://www.philae.nu/akhet/NetjeruP.html From the Middle Kingdom Amen Hotep III begins the worship of Amun Re His Son Amen Hotep IV begins the worship of Aten Re combining older dieties into Aten. He takes this one step further by defacing the names of the other dieties. Amen Tut Ankh (Tut Ankh Amun) restores the old religion Horemhab begins the persecution of the Aten priesthood Amun Ra becomes the popular Dietity of the working people in Waset/Thebes. Amun is ―that beloved God who hearkens to humble entreaties, who stretches forth his hand to the humble, who saves the weak‖, ―who hears prayer, conies at the voice of the distressed humble one, who gives breath to him that is wretched‖, and Re-Harakhte is called ―august, beloved, merciful God who hears him that prays, who hears the humble entreaties of him that calls upon him, who comes at the voice of him that utters his name.‖ Amun Ra has 777 ears and milions of Eyes. He becomes the hidden one that we pray and hears our prayers and appears when we need him. The Shabaka stone contains aspects of all of the Cosmologies. I asked Kemetic Professor Mfundishi Jhutyms about the problems of the different strains of cosmology

and he has an excellent metaphor that described helps. Basically, if a car runs in back of a bus – and there are three witnesses. Each witness will tell his story from his vantage point. But the fact is that the car hit the bus. So there is at least one agreement. Here life comes out of Nun/Nunet. I have earlier talked about Ptah and the Eight. From other sources on cosmology J. Hill‘s website- http://www.ancientegyptonline.co.uk/ogdoad.html There are four central creation myths. The first held that the world was born from a cosmic egg created by the gods of the Ogdoad. It was invisible as the sun had not yet been born. When it opened, it revealed the ―bird of light‖, an aspect of the sun god Re (occasionally the egg was said to contain air, associated with Amun and Amaunet). Alternatively, the egg was laid by a celestial goose called the Gengen Wer (the primeval goose who was associated with Amun who took this form as a creator god). When Re hatched from the egg, he created the world and everything in it. The second version says that the egg was laid by an ibis, (a bird sacred to Thoth). However, the cult of Thoth developed after the original myth of the Ogdoad, so it is probable that this story was an attempt to incorporate Thoth into the pre-existing Ogdoad (who were sometimes known as ―the souls of Thoth‖). The third myth states that a lotus flower emerged from the waters of ―the Sea of the Two Knives‖ (a lake near to the temple in Hermopolis). The petals opened to reveal Re who then created the world. The fourth myth is similar, except it held that a scarab beetle (Khepri – the symbol of the rising sun) was revealed when the petals opened. The scarab transformed into a young boy whose tears formed the first human beings. The boy is generally considered to be Nefertum (―young Atum―) but once Re and Horus had been merged as Re-Horakhty the boy was sometimes considered to be the infant Horus. The Hermopolitans claimed that their theory of creation was older than any other in Egypt and that it was the Ogdoad who gave birth to both the sun and Atum . It is also interesting to note the similarity between the Ogdoad and the description of the creation of the world found in the Pentateuch (the first five books of the Old Testament). copyright J Hill 2010

From http://www.egyptian-gods.info/2010/11/egyptian-gods-ruling-forms-and.html The Egyptian Gods and the Natural Elements According to the Hermopolitan view the eight primordial deities existed in four pairs of male and female, each associated with a specific aspect or element of the pre-creation: Nun (or Nu) and Naunet (water); Heh and Hauhet, Infinity; Kek and Kauket; Darkness; Amun and Amaunet, Hiddenness. These original ‗elements‘ were believed to be inert yet to contain the potential for creation. James Hoffmeier has shown that interesting similarities exist between these elements and the conditions list immediately prior to the creation account in the biblical book of Genesis. In Egypt, however, the members of the Ogdoad were regarded as distinct divine entities and their names were grammatically masculine and feminine to reflect the equatin creation with sexual union and birth. They were called the ―fathers‖ and ―mothers‖ of the sun god, since this deity was the focal point of ongoing creation in the Hermopolitan world view – as he was elsewhere. Just as the beginning of the annual season of growth has marked in Egypt by the Nile‘s receding imundation and emergence of high points of land from the falling river, so the Egyptians viewed the original creation event as occurring when the primordial mound of earth (see Tatenen) rose from the waters of the First Time. It was said that a lotus blossom (see Nefertem) then rose from the waters or from the same primeval mound; and it was from this flower that the young sun god emerged bringing light into the cosmos, and with it the beginning time and all further creation. The Power of the Sun God; The Heliopolitan View of the Egyptian Gods

Heliopolis, the chief center of solar worship, produced a somewhat different mythic system built around the so-called ennead or ―group of nine‖ deities which consisted of the sun god and eight of his descendants. The Heliopolitan theologians naturally stressed the role of the sun god in their creation stories which focus, as a result, not so much on the intert aspects of

preexistence but on the dynamic aspects of the resultant creation itself. The form of the sun god usually associated with this creation was Atum, who was sometimes said to have existed within the primeval waters ―in his egg‖ as a way of explaining the origin of the god. At the moment of creation Atum was said to have been born out of the primordial flood as ―he who came into being himself‖, thus becoming the source of all further creation. The god next produced two children, Shu (air) and Tefnut (moisture), from himself. Several versions of the story exist, but in all of them Atum‘s children are produced through the exhalation of the god‘s body fluids or mucus – either through the metaphor of masturbation, spitting or sneezing. In return, this first pair produced their own children, Geb (earth) and Nut (Sky), who took their respective places below and above their parents, giving the creation its full spatial extent. Geb and Nut then produced the deities Osiris and Isis, Seth and Nephthys who viewed from one perspective represented the fertile land of Egypt and the surrounding desert, so that the key elements of the Egyptian universe were completed at this time. Frequently the god Horus, son and heir of Osiris and the deity most closely associated with kingship, was added to this group, thus supplying the link between the physical creation and societal structures. All these aspects, however, were viewed as simply extensions of the original coming into being of the sun god who lay at the heart of this world view and who was thus ‗the father of all‘ and ‗ruler of the gods‘. While the scholars of Heliopolis focused mainly on the emergence and development of the sun god, Atum, the priests of nearby Memphis looked at creation from the perspective of their own god Ptah. As the god of metalworkers, craftsmen and architects it was natural that Ptah was viewed as the great craftsman who made all things. But there was also another, much deeper, link between Ptah the creation of the world which set the Memphite view of creation apart. The so-called Memphite Theology which is preserved on the Shabaka Stonein the Egyptian collection of the British Musem reveals this important aspect of the Memphite theological system. While the inscription dates to the 25th dynasty it was copied from a much earlier source, apparently of the early 19th dynasty, though its principles may have dated to even earlier times. The text alludes to the Heliopolitan creation account centred on the god Atum, but goes on to claim that the Memphite god Ptah preceded the sun god and that it was Ptah who created Atum and ultimately the other Egyptian gods and all else ‗through his heart and through his tongue‘. The expression alludes to the conscious planning of creation and its execution through rational thought and speech, and this story of creation ex nihilo as attributed to

Ptah by the priests of Memphis is the earliest known example of the so-called ‗logos‘ doctrine in which the world is formed through a god‘s creative speech. As such it was one of the most intellectual creation myth to arise in Egypt and in the ancient world as a whole. Like Atum, however, Ptah was also viewed as combining male and female elements within himself. This is seen in early texts, and in the latest period of Egyptian history the name of the god was written acrophonically as pet-ta-heh or p(et)+t(a)+h(eh) as though he were supporting the sky (pet) above the earth (ta) in the manner of the Heh deities, but also bridging and combining the female element of the sky and the male element of the earth in the anarogynous manner of the primordial male-female duality PtahNaunet. Egyptian Gods in Mythic Variants As much as these three systems of comsogony and theogony differ in their details and in the stress placed upon differing deities by their own cults, it is clear that they all share a similar approach to creation. Although the differing approaches were apparently never combined into one unified myth, stories existed for many of the individual myths which fitted into the same overall ramework. In the stories stressing the solar origin of creation, for example, we find variants which proclaimed that the sun god came into being as a hawk or falcon, or as a sphoenix, in the form of a child, a scarab bettle, or some other creatures, but these all originated from the primeval waters or from the mound which rose from them. There are also variants of the manner in which the monad (the prime, indivisible entity) is said to have produced the rest of creation – a Middle Kingdom text found on coffins at el-Bersheh states of the ‗All-lord‘: ‗I brought into being the gods from my sweat, and men are the tears of my eye‘; but these do not differ radically from those of Heliopolis considered above. To some extent all these stories appear as kaleidoscopic variations of core mythic elements, and may indicate an effort on the part of the Egyptian theologians to incorporate deities which had arisen in different parts of Egypt, or at different times, into existing mythic frameworks. It is often the nature of the creator deities and the basis of their power which is at issue in the varying stories of the origin and rule of the Egyptian gods.
