In my opinion, Sung Koo Kim was painted as a criminal to suit the needs of the local police authorities. If that was the height of their investigative skills, they should have stuck to serving the public through traffic enforcement and immediate responses to 911 messages. Instead, police investigators embellished their own egotistical importance with personal self-aggrandizement produced by erroneous evidence in the media spotlight. Meanwhile the local police investigators couldn't find their own backsides with both hands and the FBI advised they had no case. Sung Koo Kim should have never been charged under the vicarious and misapplied color of the Brooke Wilberger case that was used by the local police authorities to convict an innocent suspect in the media through "guilt by accusation" and something cousin to a Cointelpro sanction. All of us as parents and human beings are very sorry for the loss of Brooke Wilberger and can only imagine the hell her family must still feel, but Sung Koo Kim never murdered or harmed Brooke Wilberger. Sung Koo Kim, a Korean American and an employed degreed professional was villainized by local law enforcement's reverse investigative tactics and by the corporate media that swallows and regurgitates whatever it's told. The harm caused the Kim family by the local police and the excessive force used to conduct an early morning raid would have been Keystone cops laughable, if not so pathetically egregious. I've been on early morning raids with three hundred federal agents to make the arrests of real criminals, many who were violent, but at each location there were only one fifth the number of FBI agents used by comparison to the video showing an endless stream of local police invading the home of the Kim family. In another venue I could compare this scenario as having been played-out by Nazi SS storm troopers hunting down Jews for extermination. Whatever Sung Koo Kim is as a human being, he is not a murderer, he is nonviolent, and he is probably embarrassed by his personal habitudes. Nevertheless, Sung Koo Kim's alleged fantasy based indiscretions that might have resulted in misdemeanor charges for trespassing and petty theft, should not have produced the level of criminal prosecution, nor the prison sentence he received. In my opinion, the contaminated case did not receive equal justice under the law and Sung Koo Kim should immediately be released from prison while the ruling is overturned and expunged from his record.
