This report on the Connective Breath technique is an excerpt from Cory Herter’s website. It’s one of the coolest breaths I’ve ever used for relaxation, processing, exercising (yoga), insomnia (works great!) and more. The Connective Breathing process was developed by Cory Herter (read more about him here and get more of his goodies here) to enhance your self development process. It can be an extremely valuable tool in healing. I recommend that you definitely read about the Brain Wave States on his website to understand this breathing technique thoroughly. This breath cycle takes you through each of the four brain wave states—alpha, beta, delta, theta—and their relative states of being—pysical, mental, emotional and spiritual (Cory calls the spiritual level celebration—I like that!). What’s so neat is that if you’re stuck in any of the brain wave states, taking yourself through this simple, quick process will get you unstuck right away! BETA: physical
Here’s the pattern for Connective Breathing: Mouth-in Mouth-out, Mouth-in Nose-out, Nose-in Nose-out, Nose-in Mouth-out, Mouth-in Mouth-out This 5 cycle breath…connects your mind and body together to function as one unit. This breath also triggers the deep state needed to access and clear your energy.

The table to the left shows the basic 5 breath cycle. It’s a complete breathing process that can be used by itself or in conjunction with other healing modalities like EFT or other forms of energy therapy, hypnosis, etc..

Repeat 3 times: MM, MN, NN, NM mm, mn, nn, nm MM, MN, NN, NM, mm. Wait for about 2 to 3 minutes while the effect of the breathing wears off. When you feel stabilized, you have completed the basic breath technique. You will now feel centered and connected. Try it right now to experience the benefits. This technique is extremely powerful for bringing your body and mind back into balance. Anytime you are ever upset do these breaths and watch your body and mind calm down. You can also use this breath when doing any stretching or Yoga to advance your physical development faster.
