The understanding of oneself is the redefining point in which all things begin, that is the duality that is in all things, even within ourselves. There is no point in arguing that we have both aspects in us, it is not good or evil but the intent & purpose of are will that makes it such. There is no such thing as impossible, or it can not be done, it is improbable maybe, but it can be done if it is your will to be done. There is no room for doubt or questioning, in our way of life. Once you see this then think on the limitless & endless possibilities that you can achieve For this is your will & your law ( Do what thy Will Shall be the whole of the Law). Our Mind & Souls are a vast archive & mystery all in the same, but as we learn to open our mind & unlock the mysteries within we see a whole new   world before us, one that we can shape & mold to our desires. Think of the difference that you can make, think of the people that you can touch with  just a thought. Emotions are a tool used to charge & draw off of, and to command at your own will. The power in emotion knows no end or boundaries, learn to master them & you will learn to master oneself & all that is around you. Be the master of your own temple and allow only that which you want into it, all else as no meaning for it is not a part of you. Remember everything is a tool at your disposal, use it and grow, learn from it then descide if it is a part of you or no, if not discard it for it has served it's purpose & no longer has a purpose or need for you.

Hebrew Alphabet Letters of the Alefbet

If this sounds like Greek to you, you're not far off! Many letters in the Greek alphabet have similar names and occur in the same order (though they don't look anything alike!): Alpha, Beta, Gamma, Delta ... Zeta ... Theta, Iota, Kappa, Lambda, Mu, Nu ... Pi ... Rho, Sigma Tau. The "Kh" and the "Ch" are pronounced as in German or Scottish, a throat

Kaf, Mem, Nun, Pei and Tzadei all are written differently when they appear at the end of a word than when they appear in the beginning or middle of the word. The version used at the end of a word is referred to as Final Kaf, Final Mem, etc. The version of the letter on the left is the final version. In all cases except Final Mem, the final version has a long tail. Vowels and Points Like most early Semitic alphabetic writing systems, the alefbet has no vowels. People who are fluent in the language do not need vowels to read Hebrew, and most things written in Hebrew in Israel are written without vowels. However, as Hebrew literacy declined, particularly after the Romans expelled the Jews from f rom Israel, the rabbis recognized the need for aids to pronunciation, so they developed a system of dots and dashes called nikkud (points). These dots and dashes are written above, below or inside the letter, in ways that do not alter the spacing of the line. Text containing containing these markings is referred to as "pointed" text.

Most nikkud are used to indicate vowels. The table at right illustrates the vowel points, along with their pronunciations. Pronunciations are approximate; I have heard quite a bit of variation in vowel pronunciation. Vowel points are shown in blue. The letter Alef, shown in red, is used to illustrate the position of the points relative to the consonants. The letters shown in purple are technically consonants consonants and would appear in unpointed texts, but they function as vowels in this context.

There are a few other nikkud, illustrated and explained below.

The dot that appears in the center of some letters is called a dagesh. It can appear in just about any letter in Hebrew. With most letters, the dagesh does not significantly affect pronunciation of the letter; it simply marks a split between syllables, where the letter is pronounced both at the end of  the first syllable and the beginning of the second. With the letters Beit, Kaf  and Pei, however, the dagesh indicates that the letter should be pronounced  with its hard sound (b, k, p) rather than its soft sound (v, kh, f). See the table above. The Arcana A Study in Magic Orthodox Jews and by many older Jews), Tav also has a soft sound, and is pronounced as an "s" when it does not have a dagesh. Vav, usually a consonant pronounced as a "v," is sometimes a vowel pronounced "oo" (u) or "oh" (o). When it is pronounced "oo" "oo" as in "food", pointed texts have a dagesh. When it is pronounced "oh" as in "Oh!," pointed texts have a dot on top. Shin is pronounced "sh" when it has a dot over the right branch and "s"  when it has a dot over the left branch.  At right is an example of pointed text. Nikkud are shown in blue. This line would be pronounced (in Sephardic pronunciation, which is what most people use today): V'ahavtah l'reyahkhah kamokhah. (And you shall love your neighbor as yourself. Leviticus 19:18). Styles of Writing The style of writing illustrated above is the one most commonly seen in Hebrew books. It is referred to as block print, square script or sometimes  Assyrian script. For sacred documents, such as torah scrolls or the scrolls inside tefillin and mezuzot,, there is a special writing style with "crowns" (crows-foot-like mezuzot (crows-foot-like marks coming up from the upper points) on many of the letters. This style of writing is known as STA"M, an acronym for "Sifrei Torah, Tefillin and Mezuzot," which is where you will see that style of writing. The Arcana A Study in Magic There is another style used for handwriting, in much the same way that cursive is used for the Roman (English) alphabet. This modern script style is illustrated at right.

 Another style is used in certain texts to distinguish the body of the text from commentary upon the text. This style is known as Rashi Script, in honor of Rashi of Rashi,, the greatest commentator on the Torah and the Talmud Talmud.. Rashi himself did not use this script; it is only named in his honor. The alefbet at left is an example of Rashi Script.

Numerical Values

Each letter in the alefbet has a numerical value. These values can be used as numerals, as the Romans used some of  their letters (I, V, X, L, C, D, M) as numerals. The table at right shows each letter with its corresponding numerical value. Note that final letters have the same value as their non-final counterparts. The numerical value of a word is determined by adding up the values of  each letter. The order of the letters is irrelevant to their value: the number 11 could be written as Yod-Alef, Alef-Yod, Hei-Vav, Dalet-Dalet-Gimel Dalet-Dalet-Gimel or many other ways. Ordinarily, however, numbers are written with the fewest possible letters and with the largest numeral first (that is, to the right). The number 11 would be written Yod-Alef (with the Yod on the right, because Hebrew is written right-to-left), the number 12 would be Yod-Beit, the number 21 would be Kaf-Alef, the number 611 would be Tav-Reish-Yod-Alef, etc. etc. The only significant exception to this pattern is the numbers 15 and 16, which if rendered as 10+5 or 10+6 would be a name of G-d, G-d, so they are normally written Teit-Vav (9+6) and Teit-Zayin (9+7). Because of this system of assigning numerical values to letters, every word has a numerical value. For example, the word Torah (Tav-Vav-Reish-Hei) has the numerical value 611 (400+6+200+5). There is an entire discipline of  Jewish  Jewish mysticism known as Gematria that is devoted to finding hidden meanings in the numerical values of words. For example, the number 18 is very significant, because it is the numerical value of the word Chai, meaning life. Donations to Jewish charities are routinely made in denominations of 18 for that reason.

The Arcana A Study in Magic Some have suggested that the final forms f orms of the letters Kaf, Mem, Nun, Pei and Tzadei have the numerical values of 500, 600, 700, 800 and 900, providing a numerical system that could easily render numbers up to 1000. However, there does not appear to be any basis for that interpretation in  Jewish tradition. A cursory glance at a Jewish tombstone will show that these letters are not normally used that way: the year 5766 (2005-2006) is  written Tav-Shin-Samekh-Vav (400+300+60+6; (400+300+60+6; the 5000 is assumed), not Final Nun-Samekh-Vav (700+60+6). Indeed, writing it in that way would look absurd to anyone familiar f amiliar with Hebrew, because a final letter should never appear at the t he beginning of a word! But even where numerology is used only to determine the numerical values of words, you will not find examples in Jewish tradition of final letters being given different values. For example, in traditional sources, the numerical value of a name of G-d that ends in Final Mem is 86, not 646. I have received several e-mails pointing out that the numerical value of Vav  (often transliterated as W) is 6, and therefore WWW has the numerical value of 666! The Internet, they say, is the number of the beast! It's an amusing notion, but Hebrew numbers just don't work that way. In Hebrew  numerals, the position of the letter/digit is irrelevant; the letters are simply  added up to determine the value. To say that Vav-Vav-Vav is six hundred and sixty-six would be like saying that the Roman numeral III is one hundred and eleven. The numerical value of Vav-Vav-Vav in Hebrew   would be 6+6+6=18, so WWW is equivalent to life! (It is also worth noting that the significance of the number 666 is a part of Christian numerology, numerology, and has no basis that I know of in Jewish thought).  And while we're on the subject of bad numbers, it is worth noting that the number 13 is not a bad number in Jewish tradition or numerology. Normally written as Yod-Gimel, 13 is the numerical value of the word ahava (love, Alef-Hei-Beit-Hei) Alef-Hei-Beit-Hei) and of echad (one, as in the daily prayer declaration, G-d is One!, Alef-Cheit-Dalet). Thirteen is the age of  responsibility, when a boy becomes bar mitzvah. mitzvah. We call upon G-d's mercy

Ogham Origin The Ogham alphabet is thought to be named after the Irish god Ogma. One theory of its origins is that it evolved out of a system of tallies used for accounting. Ogham is also known as or ogham craobh, beth luis fearn or beth luis nion.

The Arcana A Study in Magic About 500 Ogham inscriptions have been found in Ireland, Scotland, Wales and England dating from between the 4th and 7th centuries AD. There are inscriptions in archaic forms of Gaelic and Pictish, which have not n ot been deciphered. A handful of inscriptions featuring the Ogham script and the Latin alphabet have also been found. While all surviving traces of Ogham are inscriptions on stone, it was probably more commonly  inscribed on sticks, stakes and trees. Inscriptions generally take the form of somebody's name and the name of a place and were probably used to mark boundaries. Enochian alphabet Origin The Enochian alphabet first appeared during the 16th century. The Court  Astrologer and Magician, Dr. John Dee (1527-1608) and his associate, Sir Edward Kelly (1555-1597) claimed that the alphabet and the Enochian language was transmitted to them by angels. The alphabet is used in the practice of Enochian Magic on Enochian Calls or Keys, which are used to call angels.

The Angelic script is written right to left, and is commonly accented accented – see the Loagaeth, and the English transliterations of the 48 Calls or Keys. The letter ‘C’, as in English, can be pronounced as ‘S’ or ‘K’. Similarly, the letter ‘G’ also represents the sound ‘J’; as can the letter Gon (‘I’ or ‘Y’), though infrequently. Also, the letter Van is is pronounced either ‘U’ or ‘V’. The sound ‘W’ ‘W’ is probably probably represented represented literally by a double-‘U’. The letter ‘Z’ is occasionally given with the pronunciation ‘ZOD’ ‘ZOD’ which is merely a 16th Century name of the letter “Zed” or “Zee”.

The Elder Futhark Runes The Elder Futhark  The Elder Futhark (named after the initial phoneme of the first six rune names: F, U, Th, A, R and K) consist of twenty-four runes, often arranged in three groups or ætts of ætts of eight each. Rune names Each rune most probably had a name, chosen to represent the sound of the rune itself. The names are, however, not directly attested for the Elder Futhark themselves. Reconstructed names in Proto-Germanic have been produced, based on the names given for the runes in the later runic alphabets attested in the rune poems and the linked names of tthe he letters of  the Gothic alphabet. alphabet. The Arcana A Study in Magic The rune names stood for their rune because of the first phoneme in the name (the principle of acrophony  of acrophony ), ), with the exception of Ingwaz  of  Ingwaz and and Algiz   Algiz : the Proto-Germanic z sound z sound of the Algiz  the Algiz rune, rune, never occurred in a  word-initial position. The phoneme acquired an r -like -like quality in Proto-Norse, usually transcribed with R , and finally merged with r in Icelandic, rendering the rune superfluous as a letter. Most names, in spite of being reconstructions, can be assumed with a fair degree of certainty for the Old Futhark because of the concurrence of  Gothic, Anglo-Saxon and Nordic names. The Theban alphabet is a writing system of unknown origin. It was first published in Johannes Trithemius' Polygraphia Polygraphia (1518), in which it was attributed to Honorius of Thebes. Trithemius' student Agrippa (1486-1535) attributed it to Pietro d'Abano (1250-1316). It is also known as the Honorian Alphabet, the Runes of Honorius after the legendary  magus (It is not, however, a runic alphabet) or the Witches' (Wiccan)  Alphabet due to its use in modern Wicca and other forms of witchcraft as a substitution cipher to hide magical writings such as the contents of a Book  of Shadows.

Open Mindness OPEN MINDEDNESS  WHY THIS? IT'S A MATTER OF PRINCIPLE, FOR I FEEL THAT  WE GET CAUGHT UP IN OUR OWN BELIEFS THAT WE FORGET THAT THERE ARE OTHER THINGS OUT THERE THAT CAN HELP US ON OUR PATHS! THERE ARE TRUTHS IN EVERY RELIGIOUS BELIEF, EXAMPLE JESUS, YEAH THE CHRISTIAN BIBLE ONE, THE DEATH & RESURRECTION IS SYMBOLIC TO OUR VERY OWN BELIEFS " ONE MUST DIE FIRST, BEFOR HE/SHE CAN BE RESURRECTED INTO A HIGHER  STATE OF BEING" IT JUST GOT MISCONCEIVED OVER THE CENTURIES, WHEN THEY REALISED RELIGION CAN BE USED  AS A TOOL TO CONTROL THE MASSES & FATTEN THEIR   WEALTH . BUT W/OUT AN OPEN MIND WE SAY THAT IT'S BULL, BECAUSE THEY ARE TAUGHT NEVER TO BE OPEN TO OTHER ASPECTS, THAT IS WHY THEY PERSECUTE ANY THAT DON'T BELIEVE IN THE WAY THEY DO. JUST LIKE KABALIST USE MANY FORMS OF BELIEFS COMPILED INTO ONE. THEY   WORK W/IN BOTH SPECTRUMS ANGELIC & GEOITIC, BUT AT THE SAME TIME MIXING GOD HEADS TO SUIT THEIR  PURPOSE.

NOW IF I WAS CLOSED MINDED THEN WHY WOULD I EVER   WANT TO LISTEN TO SOME MAD MAN LIKE MYSELF SAY  THAT THERE IS TRUTH TO BE FOUND ELSEWHERE. HE'S CRAZY LOST HIS MARBLES SOMEWHERE, I'D BE CONDEMNING MYSELF FOR I'M NOT GROWING ANY

 Words Here is one for you all to digest, don't worry I wont use to many big  words..lol... In our beliefs we have many words, w/ many meanings, Power  words, incantations, Chants & the list goes on. Now in our everyday lives  we also have many words, some that affect us more than others, my  question is why is this so? For a word only has power if we give it power correct? I've come to learn in my short life span, that many allow words to affect them, & at the same time stumble w/ there magical words for they don't give them power, shouldn't our focus be more on those words which really  need to have meaning, than those that should not that some let affect them. It is also true that not only w/ words but how we live & react to things that also give power over to things that we may not perscive, will use fear as an example for it is the easiest to understand & see. For our fears are our  weakness, it is the one thing that can destroy us before we can react to it for in most case we freeze up when in countered w/ our fear, but yet we give our fears power, why? For are we not taught to face our fears & destroy  them so we can gain mastery over them, & so they have no power over us, so why do we let words affect us so, for it is the same principle as our fear, as w/ our power words they should be held dear to us & mastered so when used there power vibrates the universe even if it is spoken in a whisper, or  w/ out voice for those that have truly mastered there art. So I ask you to think about what you allow yourself to have power over you, is the things that should have power over you or is the words of a common mindless person who is just waiting to see your reaction, & maybe latter use it against you. The Arcana A Study in Magic The Basic Structure of the Psychic chart 1 Conscious Mind Censor Sub-conscious Mind In the chart above is a simplified form of the common model of the human psyche as provided by modern psychoanalysis. psychoanalysis. First we see the conscious mind A.K.A the day time t ime or wakening-consciousness. wakening-consciousness. In the lower portion of the chart we can see the sub-conscious mind which is also called the unconscious. This includes everything that usually escapes our conscious mind. Although it's constantly active, we usually only notice it when we dream. The so-called censor is located between the two. It represents a sort of "2way filter", on the other hand it ensures the selective perception perception of the stimuli of the outside world. On the other hand, it protects the conscious mind from uncontrolled flooding of information from the sub-conscious mind which includes repression & complexes. The censor is assigned a vital function, namely the mantinance of what we generally call " spiritual health".  Addmitedly the censor has a considerable disadvantage as well namely the it 's extremely conservative. Only reluctantly does it allow the conscious mind to make direct contact w/ the sub-conscious mind thereby escaping it's control. This state often resembles the hazy period just before falling to sleep in which the t he conscious mind is still active, but quite subdued. In this state it can exchange information directly w/ the subconscious mind e.g. in the form of images. During the magickal trance the censor is in away "put to sleep". Ideally, it  would "sleep" very lightly & only wake in an emergency. By the way this corresponds to the sword in magic. Thus we now have the complete structure of magic that corresponds to our chart bellow: chart 2 Imagination

In comparison, chart 3 reflects the same concept in the form of a mathematical equation. It would be best for you to study these charts carefully & even memorise these since we will be running into similar formulas throughout the course of study. THIS ISN"T SUCH A GAME! On the contry, formulas are mnemonic abbreviations to help us memorise rules & laws from which practical derivatives can be gained . Our goal here is to point out the basic structures of magick & to clarify them. In this respect, this is an entirely new concept since most of the magical literature available today is written like l ike (recipe books ). Instead of explaining the basic laws that govern magic, must authors-even the older ones, usually provide individual recipes. Ritual for protection from an enemy, magical glyphs for happiness & prosperity, amulets to prevent plagues, mantras ( magic-words ) for attracting a prince or conjuring spirits, & so on. Even ( & especially!) the traditional literature of must recent times t imes follows this principle.

The Arcana A Study in Magic Unfortunately what's often miss understood here is the fact that t hat such recipes are not effective "automatically" by themselves. This is a mistake that many people make especially beginners continue to make again & again. They constantly search for the " real, true, 100% effective ritual " or the ultimate magical formula. Even today there are more than t han enough quakes around who'd be eager to hold out a hand & sell you a recipe w/out explaining the conditions nesciesary to make it work. Not that all such recipes are completely useless. But if we're not able to understand the basic formulas of magic first, before  we use them, then there not worth the paper that they're written on. And even if they do work sometimes, it can be easily seen that " will; imagination; & gnosis/trance " played an important role as well. However, once you're familiar w/ basic law & formulas of magic you can create your own "recipes" on the basis of these, in the same way that every  magician basically writes his/hers own personal grimoire or " book of  magick "  A large part of your work hear will deal w/ doing just this. But as w/ any  other discipline, the basic need to be mastered first, otherwise "1+1" will never be learned! "Diligent practice on a regular basis is the Key to acquiring magical skills"!  You should know that it's entirely up to you how fast or how slow magic "works" for you. There's no denying that some people have a certain "Talent" for magic in various degrees, the importance of this talent is usually drastically overestimated. Never make the common beginners mistake of envying the "naturals" who seem to be able to accomplish many  things in magic straight off w/out painstaking work & previous training. In fact you should actually feel sorry for them. Since they've been "given" so much & many things fall right into there laps, they usually lack the t he self-disapline & severity of those w/ less talent who have to earn every little thing w/ sweat & tears. In magical terms this self disapline & severity  represents the important aspects of grounding, since they're best protection against two of the must common & most dangerous illnesses of magicians: Overestimating ones self, & the persecution complex.  A good magician is humble in the same way a good warrior is humble: One knows his/hers own limits way to well to be deceived by wishful thinking. A   warrior never makes the mistake of underestimating a problem, the enemy, or a challenge. He/she thinks & acts economically w/a minimum of effort & maximum effieciancy. The warrior is of sound character because he/she learned to master Will power throughout training & knows how to distinguish between judgement based on emotion & those based on facts. Ideally the magician is a technician w/out being a techonoccrat, someone  who's mastered one's disapline to a tee & knows it's legitimacy as well as it's weaknesses, & he/she respects & admires one's trade & all those who have learned it & are learning. All of these qualities are rarely just handed to a person, they have to be acquired through hard work. Natural talents often tend to oversee these requirements & usually learn the hard way by running into walls or through t hrough painful processes of mistakes & failure.

The Theory Of Balance Part 2 ( The Calling ) FOR MANY ARE CALLED BUT FEW ARE CHOSEN!  As we first enter this way of life we are filled w/ questions, emotions , and feelings of being out of place, & confusion, & nothing else seems to have a place! you start to begin to see the world for what it is & you feel that your are all lone, you start seeking direction & you find it but then that goes away & you start feeling the same way again, & keeps going on until one day you find the path that's for you then the real test & trials come. Magical Oaths Similar to the magical name, the magical oath also represents an obligation that the magician enters into for various reasons. In the sense A:.A:. wrote; " Word should express will " hence the Mystic Name of the Probationer is the expression of his highest will. There are of course, few Probationers who understand themselves sufficiently to be able to formulate their will to themselves, & therefor at the end of their probation they chose a new name. It is convienent therefor for the student to express his will by taking magical oaths. Since such an oath is unrevocable it should be well considered, & it is better not to take any oath permanently; because w/ increase of  understanding may come a perception of the incompatibility of lesser oaths  w/ the greater. This indeed is most certain to occur, & it must be remembered that the  whole essence of the will is it's one-pointedness, a dilemaof this sort is the  worst in which the Magus can find himself.  Another great point in consideration of magical vows is to keep them in their proper place. They must be taken for a clearly defined purpose, a clearly understood purpose, & they must never be aloud to go beyond it! There is no power which can be prized into the service of the magical will, it is only the temptation to value that power for itself which offends. One does not say " cut it down; why cumbereth it the t he ground? " unless repeated pruning's have convinced the gardener that the growth must always be a rank one. " If thou hand offend thee, cut it off " is the scream of a  weakling. If one killed a dog the first time it misbehaved itself, not many   would pass the stage st age of puppy hood. The best vow & the most universal application is the vow of Holly  Obiediance: for not only does it lead to perfect freedom, but is a training in that Surrender (*1) which is the last task.

This is the Practical & active form of that obligation of a Master Of The Temple in which it is said " I will interpret every phenomenon as a particular dealing of God w/ my soul." The statement that the Probationer can resign when he/she chose is in truth only for those who have taken the oath superficially. A real magical oath CAN NOT BE BROKEN; you think it can but it can not. This is the real advantage of a magical oath. However far you go around, you arrive at the end just the same, all you have done by attempting to break your oath is to involve yourself in the

It cannot be too clearly understood that such is the nature is the nature of  things; it dose not depend upon the will of any person, however powerful or exalted, nor can their force, the force of there greater oaths avail against the weakest oath of the most trivial of beginners A:.A:. It is therefor good practice to view the magical oath in a functional way. An oath is more than just a resolution intention - it's a voluntary bonding. So only bond yourself where you really want to be. For example , you could start w/a smaller " oath " to do your magical training exersices regularly in the next month regardless of what external factors of resistance may arise. Making oaths ( & of course keeping them ) is a useful exsesise to strengthen your will power that can improve your own interpretation & subtle energy  perception, since these automatically sharpen considerablely through the required alertness, & soon you'll begin to observe how the whole universe is helping you w/ your Great Work, just as soon as you've set the first truly  serious impulse your self. Of course you should avoid " oath infatuation". Use this powerful magical tool carefully & you'll surely be able to enjoy it's tremendous advantages. But it's the truly serious oaths that will have a long lasting, deep impact that can change your entire life. The above passage quoted from Crowley contain an example that has mean  while become quite popular. Whoever endeavors to take the magical oath MASTER OF THE TEMPLE in his order ( A:.A:. ) was immediately  promoted from grade of neophyte, right up to the highest grade - but as mentioned, such oaths can be quite dangerous & should be thought over very carefully.

The Arcana A Study in Magic Magical Exercises Exercise 1: Kabbalistic Cross Practice the kabbalistc cross 3 times a day for a week. Preferably you should do this right when you get up in the morning or right after taking a bath or shower while your body is still wet. During the exercise make sure your focus focus is directed towards a light source, this will help you feel the light energy  stronger & absorb it easier. However you don’t need to actually concentrate on the light. While practicing , pay attention to how your body feels. The Kabbalistic cross can be repeated as often as you want, whenever needed. It Can also be used to store energy when your feeling week, nervous, afraid & is an exceptional effective form of magical protection.

Exercise 2: Practicing of the L.B.R.  After practicing exercise 1 for one week start st art practicing the LBR. Optimally  you should do this twice a day. Of course you should make sure that you’re not disturbed while practicing. Keep practicing exercise 1 3x a day on a daily basis counting the times you perform the LBR as well. The LBR can also be repeated as often as you like, whenever needed. Its very effective form of magical protection. The LBR will probably accompany you throughout your your entire life as a magician, & as a minimum you should do exercise 2 on a daily basis during your entire time of your training.

Exercise 3: Training of Magical Perception Perception This exercise is practiced along with the LBR during the first month of  practice you should perform the entire exercise at least twice a week. On each of the other 5 days you can do one of the five steps of this exercise ( letters A; B; C; D; E;) individually without out putting more emphasis on a certain one. During the second month, it is enough to just do the entire exercise at least twice per week.  After the 3rd month just do the exercise whenever ( & as often ) as you feel necessary. If  you notice that your magical perception is improving from this exercise & that will most likely be the case, try intensifying things awhile by extending the length & duration of the exercise. Don’t stop performing this exercise until you’re completely  satisfied with your magical perception. But even then we recommend you repeat it once every  quarter year, so that you don’t get rusty.  A) After performing & vibrating the Kabbalistic cross for the second time following the LBR keep your eyes closed , stretch out your arms & walk  around the circle trying to feel it. Try not to visualize or imagine the circle in anyway when doing so This wont be necessary at all, even if you don’t have much success at 1st usually you’ll sense the subtle energies as a soft tingling feeling or a feeling f eeling of warmth or cold, maybe even you’ll feel a slight electric shock. Carefully note all your perceptions in your magical diary.

B) Practice as in step A) except that you will be working with the sense of  hearing this time. While walking the circle 1st try hearing each of the god names that you vibrated in each corresponding direction. ( Keep silent  while doing this, don’t try to help your perception by vibrating the names again ). Then stand in the middle of the circle & try hearing all of the god names at the same time each one echoing from it’s corresponding direction. C) Practice as in step A) except that you will be working with the sense of  smell this time. While walking the circle 1st try to sense the general smell of the room before & after. Try to determine if the Ritual has made a difference in the smell. Next time you can time you can carefully compass the smell of the t he room before & after the LBR. D) Practice as in step A) except that you will be working with the sense of  taste this time. While walking the circle 1st try to sense the general taste of the room your in. Pay attention to your sense of taste before & after the LBR. E) Practice as in step A) except that you will be working with the sense of  sight  While walking around the circle , open your eyes wide & try to see it  without purposely focusing your eyes. At 1st you’ll probably only see vague shimmers , like a fog or mist in the air, as though it were subject to a high degree of  heat This is a good sign. After awhile the contours of the circle will become more distinct. Do the same with the symbols & finally the images of the

Exercise 4: Astral Magic & Meditation

Contrary to other people, we won't be starting off our training of astral travel & astral magic by recommending that you learn to separate your astral from your physical body. Complete beginners w/ no previous experiences in astral travel usually find the following technique much easier & are able to achieve equally good results in just a short period of time which is why we'll be discussing the actual astral trip at a later time. Our technique trains the mastery of asana & body control as  well. Set in a asana of your choice- preferably  the god posture, dragon posture, 1/2 lotus posture each day for at least 15min for several wk's. Collect your thoughts & just observe your breathing. If any thoughts come to mind ( & they will ) don't try to force them away, since that will only make them

The Arcana A Study in Magic more stubborn- just let them pass w/out taking notice of them. After awhile let yourself & your body expand mentally w/ each breath. Do this little by  little at first maybe just 2or3inchs & increase the distance each day you practice until you finally fill the entire room that you are meditating in.  After about (4 wk's) finish your meditation by making your self get smaller, again each time inhale. You can combine this exercise w/ first working w/ mantras until you reach a sufficient state of gnosis before beginning w/ the actual meditation. After about 4 wk's of working w/ this then move on to the 2nd part of this exercise w/ one difference that you should concentrate on getting smaller each time you exhale. Start of slowly, step by step & increase this exercise daily until after 4wks when the exercise is over you've reached the size of an atom. After each exercise imagine imagine yourself getting bigger w/ each inhaled breath. Exercise 5: Meditation For Your Aura Listen or feel your heart beat & picture your aura from the heart wave ( ripple like a pebble thrown into a lake ) Keep it close to your body at first. Feel it & see it pulse w/ each heart beat, do this for 5to10min before you go to bed & when you 1st get wake up. This will help strengthen s trengthen your your aura & it will also allow you to retract & extend your aura at will & eventually it  will become a natural function. Exercise 6: Breathing Meditation

This meditation will help you replenish your energies, refresh your aura, heal you, & it will relax you & help you to focus. It can be done anywhere & at anytime. Breath in deeply & hold for a count of 4 & exhale for a count of 4, keep repeating this till you feel relaxed & focused, & just let all thoughts pass. It is best starting of to do it right before & after getting up

The Arcana A Study in Magic from bed, than after you find it easy to do from there do it while your  walking or standing out side, eventually it will happen on its own w/out you realiseing it for it as become automatic, but still from time to time after this practice that way it is always fresh. You incorporate thoughts into it as  well at this point, for healing, calming ones emotions, & whatever else you may think to add.

The Arcana A Study in Magic show or speak what they have learned & been taught within there order’s, I am not bound by such & will freely express the truths for all that can understand them. And for those that don’t believe me well it is simple try it my way then the way you know see which one has more strength & the  way it feels. I assure you, you will see & feel a big deference. Kether (Crown): The 1st sephira of the t he tree of life, Pure being the 1st manifest (which may be for us at our stage of development the great unknown) but it is not the great unknowable. Though Kether magical image is a ancient bearded king seen in purple. Kether is not strictly  speaking a male god because the polarity of gender does manifest till the 2nd & 3rd sephira Chokmah & Binah. Kether contains the potentionally  of creative polarization, it is the Ultimate essence of being from which polarization springs, expresses it self in the other 9 sephira. Kabalistic symbols: the point, the crown, the swastika; Tarot: the 4 aces, roots of power of the four elements. (EheIeh) beloved ruling archangel to be Methattron. Kether is the divine white brilliance- the light which lighteth the universe- that light which surpasses the glory of the sun. The sphere of it’s operation is called Rashith-Ha-Galgalim -the beginning of whirling (or that which whorls) the premium mobile or first mover, which bestowed the gift of life in all things & filleth the whole universe. And Ehe-I-eh is the Divine essence in Kether (or God name). Metatron the prince of countenances, he who bringeth others before the face of god, & the name of it’s order of angels is called: Chaioth ha-Qadesh, the holy living creatures, which are also called the order of Seraphim. Chokmah (Wisdom): The 2nd sephira of the tree of life, the supernal father, Raw directionless energy, the 1st manifestation of Kether, The 1st sephira which is pure existence. The fertilizing energy is then taken by  Binah, the supernal mother 3rd sephira & given form & boundaries. The

Divine emanations & is equated w/ the personalized angel Ratziel {rasiel}. Chokmah is the 1st of God/Goddess creations, the only one of the supernal abstractions which seems to have reached actual materialization or personification. Chokmah is a cloud like grey which contains various colors & is mixed w/them like a transparent pearl hued mist, yet radiating  w/all, as if behind it was a brilliant glory. And the sphere of influence is Masloth, the starry heaven, were in it disposes’ the forms of things. And  Yah is the divine Ideal Wisdom, its archangel is Ratziel the prince of prince of knowledge of hidden & concealed things. The Name of it’s order is  Auphanim the wheels of the whirling forces which are also called the order of Kerubim. Binah (understanding): The 3rd sephira of the tree of life, the supernal mother. She takes the raw directionless energy of Chokmah the supernal Father the 2nd sephira & it gives form & manifestation. She is both the bright mother AIMA (nourishing) & the dark mother AMA (constricting). (constricting). The 1st Heh of Tetragrammaton in polarity w/the Yod of Chokmah. She represents the female potency of the cosmos, as Chokmah represents the male. Cabalistic symbols: Yoni; the kties; the versa; Pisces; the cup; the outer Robe of concealment. Tarot: 3s. And Al/El is the title of a strong God & mighty  ruling in glory, Magnificence & grace. The archangel Tzadkiel the prince of  mercy & beneficence, the name of the order of angels Chashmalim, brilliant ones, who are also called the order of Dominions, the sephira Chesed is also called (Gedulah) or magnificence & glory. Geburah (divine power or strength): The 5th sephira of the tree of life. l ife. The mars sphere, meaning the destruction of the out worn or negative. The cabbalistic process, compared to the anabolic process of Chesed. Geburah is also known as an angel who is the upholder of the left hand of God. Identified variously as Gemaliel, Khamael (camael) also Geviririon. Geburathiel: the angel of Geburah, Gaburat(h)iel is one of the great angel princes representing the Divine strength, might, & power. He is the chief  steward of the 4th hall of the 7th heaven. And it ruleth the sphere of action of the planet Mars, And Elohim Gibor is the Elohim, mighty & terrible, jugging & avenging evil, ruling in the wrath, terror, & storm, who’s steps are lighting & flame. Archangel Kamael the prince of strength & courage. The name of the order of angels is Seraphim, the flaming ones, who are also called the order of Powers. The sephira Geburah is also called Pacael terror & fear. Tiphareth (beauty): The 6th sephira of the tree of life, the solar sphere, the sephira which links the whole tree together & balances it, the heart. Cabbalistic symbols: the laymen; The Rosy Cross; the Calvary cross; the bouncated pyramid, the cube. Tarot: 6s. Magical Image: A magnificent king, child, sacrificed God. YHVH Eloah Va Daat, Ruling archangel Raphael. In Kether is a radix of golden glory & thence is the pure primitive & sparkling, gleaming golden yellow which reflected unto Tiphareth. Thus is the 1st reflected triad completed. The sphere of it’s operation is that of  Shemesh, the solar light, & bestoweth life, light, & brilliance in metallic mater, & it ruleth r uleth the sphere of action of the Sun. And YHVH Eloah Va Daat is a god of knowledge & wisdom ruling over the light of the universe. Raphael the prince of brightening, beauty, & life. The name of the order of  angels is Malechim or Malakim, that is Kings or angelic kings who are also called the order of Virtues, Angels & rulers. The Angels Penile & Petial are also referred unto this sephira. It especial rules the mineral world. {note: when we do rituals this is where we do them from, I know many  have heard the saying taking his/hers seat or throne, this is what they are referring to. And the sphere of it’s operation is that of Nogah or eternal splendor, producing producing zeal, love, & harmony, And it ruleth the sphere of action of the planet Venus, & the nature of the vegetable world. And Adonai Tzaboath is a god of hosts & armies of  triumph & of victory, ruling the universe in justice & eternity. It’s archangel is Hamial the price of love & harmony. The name of it’s order of  angels is Elohim or gods who are also called the order of Principalities. The The  Angel Cerviel is also referred unto this sephira. Hod (glory): The 8th sephira of the tree of life, personifying intellect & concepts- forms balanced by it’s counterpart the 7th sephira Netzach. Netzach. Cabbalistic symbols: names; vehicles; apron. Tarot: 8s. Magical image: a hermaphadite. The beams of Geburah & Tiphareth meet in Hod & thence arises in Hod a brilliant pure & flashing orange tawny. And the sphere of  operation is that of KoKab, the stellar light. Bestowing elegance, swiftness, & scientific knowledge, & art, constancy of speech, & it ruleth the sphere of action of Mercury. And Elohim Tzaboath is also a god of host & of  armies of mercy, & of agreement, of praises & honors, ruling the universe in wisdom & harmony. And it’s archangel is Michael, the prince of  splendor & of wisdom, the name of the order of angels is Beni Elohim or sons of the gods who are also called the order of archangels.

 Yesod (foundation): The 9th sephira of the tree of life. The sphere of the Moon & astral plane, it’s element is water & it’s associated goddess are Diana, Isis, Levonah. In this aspect Yesod is famine, but in it’s aspect of the foundation of the universe established in strength. It’s magical image: is a beautiful naked man, very strong & its associated god is Pan. Yesod is the link between the manifested world of Malkuth & all the non-marital levels of which it purifies the emanations & offers a vision of the madding of the universe. Cabbalistic symbols: perfumes & sandals. Tarot: 9s. The beams of Chesed & Geburah meet in Yesod & thence arises in Yesod a brilliant violet-purple or puce, & the 3rd triad is completed. And the sphere of it’s operation is that of Levanah the lunar beam bestowing change, increase, increase, & decrease upon created things, & it ruleth the sphere of action of the Moon, the nurture of mankind. And Shaddai is a god who sheddeth benefits omnipotent & satisfying, & Al/El Chai is the god of life, the living one. Its archangel is Gabriel the prince of change & alteration. And the name of it’s order of angel is Kerubim or Kerubic ones who are also called the order of  angels. Malkuth (The Kingdom): The 10th sephira of the tree of life, personification of the earth of the earth-soul. The 9th sephira in actual manifestation. Known as the bride, the resplendent intelligence. No operation is completed until the process has been expressed in terms of  Malkuth, in other words has issued forth f orth action on the physical plane. If  this is not done the force that has been generated is not properly earthed, & it is this lose force left flying around that causes trouble in magical experiments. Cabbalistic symbols: The alter of the double cube; the equal armed-cross; the magic circle; triangle of art. Tarot: 10s. Magical image: a young woman crowned & throned. And from the rays of the above triad there appears 5

The Arcana A Study in Magic colors in Malkuth together w/a 4th which is there synthesis. Thus from the orange tawny of Hod & the green nature of Netzach, there goeth fourth a certain greenish citrine color, pure & translucent w/all. From the orange tawny of Hod mingled w/ the puce of Yesod there goeth a certain red ruset known russet yet gleaming w/a hidden life. And from the green of Netzach & the puce of Yesod there go fourth a certain other darking green “olive” yet rich & glowing w/all. And the synthesis of all these is a blackness which bordereth upon the Qlippoth. In Malkuth Adonai ha Aretz is god, the lord & King ruling over the t he Kingdom & empire which is the visible universe.  And Cholem Yesodoth, the breaker of foundations (or Olam  Yesodoth)-The world of elements) is the name of the t he sphere of operation of  Malkuth which is called the sphere of elements from which all things are formed & its archangels are 3 Metatron, the prince of countenance reflected from Kether & Sandalphon, the prince of prayer (famine) & Nephesch ha Messiah, the soul of the reconciler of earth. And the order of  angels is Ashim or flames of fire, these are also called the order of blessed souls, or the just made perfect.
