ABSTRACT TECHNOPRENEUR, THE BEST SOLUTION TO FACE AEC BY DINA EKA PRANATA ( 061540411909 ) STUDENT OF ENERGY ENGINEERING PROGRAM AT STATE POLYTECHNIC OF SRIWIJAYA

The Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) has implemented the Asean Economic Community (AEC) Decree on Bali Concord II on free trade among ASEAN countries. The presence of AEC is very influential on many sectors, not only in the free trade sector but affect the labor sector and technological developments. The presence of the application "Ojek Online, Online Shop and reservation tickets and hotel reservations" are some examples of technopreneur development in Indonesia. The parameters of a developed country is to have at least 2% of all people who work as entrepreneurs, while Indonesia is only able to survive in the number 1.6% who work as entrepreneurs. This should be the motivation of the government and society to continue to increase the number of entrepreneurs in Indonesia as an effort to face the AEC Keywords : Technology, technopreneur, entrepreneur, government, Asean Economic Community

Technopreneur, The Best Solution to Face AEC As we know, by the end of 2015, the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) has implemented the Asean Economic Community (AEC) in Bali Concord II about an ASEAN economic integration in the face of free trade among ASEAN countries has agreed on this agreement. This means that all trade barriers will be liberalized and deregulated. In addition Southeast Asia will be a single market and production base. Thereby making ASEAN more dynamic and competitive with the mechanisms and measures to strengthen the implementation of these new existing economic initiatives; accelerate regional integration in priority sectors; facilitate the movement of business, skilled labor and talents; and strengthening the institutional mechanism of ASEAN as a first step towards creating the AEC. It is expected to reduce poverty alleviation and economic disparities between member countries through mutual cooperation. Thus, the circulation of money and goods will be heavily centered on technology, because marketing is done between ASEAN countries. So it takes a lot of Technopreneur who is able to utilize technology appropriately to improve the competitiveness of businessmen from the ASEAN region. Quoted from the Central Bureau of Statistics (BPS) data in 2016 states that the posture of Indonesian workers are below elementary school (SD) workers amounted to 47.37%, junior high education of 18.57 and SMA equal to 25.09%. The lowest number was found in workers on Diploma graduates and and university graduates only amounted to 8.96%. The total composition of the above-mentioned workforce graduate is a formidable challenge to be able to compete globally. Of course, to face this AEC, Indonesia should take seriously. Actually, Indonesia has the potential to face the AEC, which is a human resource (HR) that is very comprehensive to compete, with 39% of the total population of ASEAN or about 258.316.051 people so Indonesia is said to be able to give a big influence for the AEC, with the population which as many as Indonesia should be able to control the Asean Economic Community market and could become the King of Asia. Especially for the young Indonesians to be able to improve creativity and qualification in the face of AEC. As an element that has a considerable impact with the existence of this AEC policy. However, the seriousness of the Indonesian government in focusing on improving human resources is still very poor. Seen from the data of Indonesian labor posture

published by BPS. Do not let the abundant human resources can turn into a disaster for a country. Why ? if a country has a population that is less productive will cause the number of unemployed in the country will grow. Based on data sourced from the Central Bureau of Statistics (BPS) released a report on the number of labor force in Indonesia in February 2017. In that period, there were 131.55 million people in the workforce or 3.88 million people increased compared to February 2016 and could be every year the number of unemployed in Indonesia increases. In addition, it will also come with a lot of imported goods that will flow in large quantities to Indonesia that will threaten local industries in competing with products of higher quality overseas. This will eventually increase the trade balance deficit for Indonesia itself. And the inability of local people to compete with other countries, will cause our nation colonized in their own country and job field is getting narrower. There is also the possibility of exploitation by foreign companies to excessively undermine the ecosystem in Indonesia, while the existing investment regulation in Indonesia is not strong enough to maintain the natural conditions including the availability of natural resources contained. With a large scale on the availability of natural resources of Indonesia will be a target Foreign companies to reap the benefits of the greatest and inherit the damaged nature to our children and grandchildren later. Do not let the motherland cry again and colonized by the Foreigners who want to control the country of Indonesia. Fairly 72 years ago the Indonesian State was colonized by other nations, do not let the incident repeat the second time. In the face of this challenge, AEC demands us to improve softskill and hardskill. Softskill itself is a skill, talent, or skill that is in every human being. Soft skill is a skill that is done by non technical means, it is not shaped or invisible. However, this softskill can be regarded as personal and inter personal skills. For example, can control the emotions in self, can receive the advice of others, able to manage time, and always think positive. It can all be categorized as a personal softskill. Then the softskill inter personal is the ability that is used for yourself and others. For example, we can connect or interact with others, work with other groups, and so on. Well, softskill should also be accompanied by hardskill, because we live can not only have quality softskill, but hardskill we need to be considered. By having a good hardskill, we can become a quality human being. For example, we are schooled by our parents, we will have science, well the science will we use in our life later, therefore, hardskill and softskill balanced

can grow the soul / personal quality. Therefore AEC requires us in terms of language skills, entrepreneurship, and skills. Where these three things must be synergized to guide us in order to compete in the AEC. Language skills are very important to be able to communicate with other countries because it is impossible for us to communicate using Indonesian language continuously, sometimes we use foreign languages such as English or other languages (Malaysia, Philippines, Cambodia, etc.). The ability of entrepreneurs and skills also become capital to compete because we are required to continue to be creative and innovative. Can we do that? It will not run smoothly if it is not based on a strong spirit, courage and independence. Therefore, courage and independence and strong spirit both from the government that makes the policy and the people who run the policy is needed to realize the business. The things we can do to help the government in the face of this AEC. Among them 1. Hold an entrepreneurial workshop, in collaboration with the community. 2. Provide intelligence to the community in various ways, with a focus is to welcome the AEC 3. Creating Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs), to create jobs and develop the creativity of local communities Things like this should be done by Indonesian youth like students to make strategic moves to face the AEC. Students can build community and organize various activities covering the above activities, and can take the form of action, mediation to the campus, as well as community leaders, and government both legislative and executive, to immediately realize tactical policy to face AEC. In addition to the role that has been described above then there are some roles that can be played by students in the AEC to support Indonesia among them by conducting research with support and encouragement from all academic community campus, bureaucrats and government. With the research conducted by Indonesian students will be able to help the government and the general public both businessmen who have a big enough share in the economy of the AEC, as well as for the general public of Indonesia to know what things need to be addressed both infrastructure and superstructure. Research will be very beneficial to the government because of the time constraints that cause the government is not detailed or have not been able to in detail know what the middle-low economic community needs will be very helpful

because the research is a research that means looking back both new things and things which still needs to be reviewed. With the existence of research both in the field of exact and social will be able to provide benefits and new breakthroughs on what should be done, especially in improving the quality of human resources that still lags behind other ASEAN countries such as Singapore and Malaysia and know and understand what the government and society must address. Students can also take an active role as a young entrepreneur who has creative thinking, innovative and critical so that will be able to compete with students from other ASEAN countries. Besides, with entrepreneurship will create new jobs and will inculcate in each person to be job creator not job seeker so that will be able to create new products innovative and have high efficiency for society wide. On the other hand as a student who is required to compete with students from other countries in terms of quality, Indonesian students can also collaborate with other students in research for ASEAN and research in other matters so that in AEC not only the competition is preferred to seize the market but also collaborate on how to build better quality of ASEAN human resources. So this student has a very important role in the socioeconomic society because students, as agent of change (agent of change) certainly can not still be silent. As an element that gets a big impact with AEC policy, students must get ready and start serious and focus face AEC. The Indonesian government has a great hope for the millenial generation now as an Agent Of Change by mastering the science of technological science, to develop the potential of existing Indonesia as a Technopreneur. Technopreneur itself means people who have skills in technology but can read the business opportunities in the field of technology The presence of AEC is very influential on many sectors, not only the free trade sector but also affect the employment sector and technological developments. In the present, the development of technology in Indonesia has begun to be felt. All done using the "Online" principle. Including many entrepreneurs who are developing online systems. As the presence of application services "ojek online, online shop and reservation tickets and hotel reservations" the role of communication technology is very helpful in human activities are great. Because all can be done with a long distance without the need to think about the distance. The current communication technology must be developed in the present AEC. Quoted from the BPS in 2014 the population of Indonesia amounted to 1,252,124,458 inhabitants. So how Indonesia's communication

technology in facing the AEC? whether the number of people in Indonesia is now ready to master communications technology? This can be seen in the environment around the people of Indonesia is almost completely able to use communication technology. Example; one of them Handphone (HP). Hp that we often encounter now more dominant "Smartphone". Can be interpreted half the population of Indonesia is able to utilize communication technology as a means of communication with foreign parties or investors who come to Indonesia. Mark Zuckerberg, Facebook CEO said that Indonesia is a very potential market in the internet world (CNN Indonesia, 2015). The use of the internet through social media has brought a web forum that can form an online community. Similarly, the rise of online trading that became a very large virtual market. To advance the economy, online buying and selling can be a very powerful sector. For example China State only takes 8 years to be able to make e-commerce transactions through US $ 430 billion / year in 2016. Therefore, Indonesia should build young technopreneur to build progress in Indonesia. With the many majors based on Information and Communication Technology (ICT) in schools and universities in Indonesia, it is not impossible Indonesia will become an independent country thanks to the development of technological mastery driven by technopreneur. Technological developments should also be useful in developing the economy in Indonesia. With the high usage of internet by youth in Indonesia, it is very unfortunate if youth can not utilize technological developments to advance their nation starting from running economy in society. With the cultivation of entrepreneurial spirit that has been applied in schools and colleges, of course technology can be used as a field to do business with a very wide market. For that, youth need to be equipped with skills to master technology which in this case is the programming language as its base. With a work program that can equip the youth of the skills to write the code of the program, it is expected that the skills obtained will be a special provision for entrepreneurship in technology as a technopreneur. It is expected that with this achievement, the wheels of the Indonesian economy will be developed and assisted especially for the next generation of nation.Technopreneur must be developed to keep up with the development of today. In the current era of globalization, the competition between developed countries is getting tighter. All competing in the field of technology, food, and industry. Not only in developed

countries, developing countries also continue to compete to become a Forward Country. Indonesia, our beloved country, is still classified as a developing country. So what are the parameters that classify a developed or developing country? One of the parameters is the number of entrepreneurs owned by that State. Developed countries have at least 2% of all people who work as entrepreneurs, while Indonesia is only able to survive in the number 1.6% who work as entrepreneurs. For that, of course technopreneurship is one of the important and even mandatory courses that must be owned in the world of lectures. With a Technopreneurship course in a lecture, students are taught how to have a mindset as an entrepreneur, which, when applied properly, will increase the number of entrepreneurs in Indonesia that will encourage Indonesia as a developed country. In addition, not only oriented to be developed countries, with the science of this technopreneurship, students are also taught to be independent beings, beings who can open their own business and not depend on the more powerful, or commonly referred to as employee. In addition, not only taught about how to have a mindset as an entrepreneur, in Technopreneurship is also taught to see how business opportunities that can occur in the market, target market, what products are in demand in the market, If we just work as an employee, of course our mindset will be closed, with only the existing work. Technopreneurship needs to be taught early to create the next generation of nations that can compete with the generations in the Developed Country in the entrepreneurship sector. Technopreneur can be the best solution in facing AEC. Because At Technopreneurship, we are taught that we are not taught that the left brain is not capable of grasping the world, but the right brain, especially in this very tight era of competition is also capable of grasping the world. Here, our mindset is revealed, that being a good right brain user can generate new ideas that can be sold on the market. An entrepreneur is also required to be able to use the latest technology as a medium or advice that can help publish the items / products that will be thrown into the market later. An entrepreneur, not going directly into the system, but using technology, time, energy, and money from other humans to engage in the system. Mentioned that an entrepreneur just sit back and have time, money that much but the energy spent a little. By having entrepreneur spirit, students are considered capable to be more creative, innovative, and certainly not outdated by being able to use technology as one of the media to simplify their respective business. In this era,

not only the left brain is needed, but also the right brain capable of supporting creative thinking. Thus, we can more creatively create new jobs that can advance the Indonesian economy.
