Drivability and performance of our suspension systems are some of the most important factors that we build into our kits, ensuring that the factory stability controls work with our systems, and inside the parameters that Jeep® has engineered into the vehicle. JK LCG SUSPENSIONS

The advantage and benefit of the TeraFlex Elite LCG suspension system for JK Wranglers is apparent the minute you put the pedal to the floor. With superior handling, responsive steering, ultimate off road performance, and customizable suspension geometry this system is miles ahead anything else out there. TeraFlex continues to dominate the off road market, and the Elite LCG reinforces that position. The handling and performance of the Elite long arm system over any other kit - long or short on the market is simply amazing. The long upper and lower FlexArms work in tandem to provide synchronized suspension movement and articulation that does not bind or limit travel. The suspension travel is maximized through correct control arm geometry that reduces the extreme control arm angles, an inherent problem with short arm lifts. This correct geometry also eliminates most of the front-to-back movement of the axle as it cycles in its motion, keeping the wheel centered in the wheel-well through all suspension travel. The new FlexArm mounting points properly address critical handling areas of anti-squat on the rear, and anti-dive on the front. A factory style 4-link suspension with trackbar provides the best handling and performance for on-road drivability and allows the JK to track tight through corners and at highway speeds. The trackbars provide excellent lateral stiffness to keep the axle properly centered under the vehicle for the strongest suspension configuration possible. The Low Center of Gravity philosophy has been implemented in this system to ensure that maximum ground clearance and suspension ability has been maximized while keeping the total center of gravity as low as possible for premium handling and control. The difference is immediate and the advantage is TeraFlex.

Simple Bracketry

The CAD designed bracketry has been specifically engineered to provide maximum strength. Streamlined mounting points incorporate both upper and lower mounts in one bracket for simplified installation and seamless factory styling.

Under extreme articulation the frame has a substantial amount of flex. The frame brace eliminates the flex and adds superior stiffness to the front steering system for noticeable response at highway speeds, and strength off road.

Articulation with the LCG system’s 4-link with trackbar is unmatched. The trackbar when combined with the frame brace eliminates unnecessary frame flex, and front end shimmy. The drivability with the Monster trackbar is unparalleled.

Proper suspension geometry addresses roll center, trackbar angles and alignment specifications. The rear trackbar kit properly aligns the rear suspension to return to center and control sway at speeds, and to work in unison with the front suspension.

All control arms use the TeraFlex exclusive forged rod end housings loaded with spherical flex joints. Angled shanks provide maximum tire clearance for tight turning. Complete length adjustability allows for correct driveline and caster angles and alignment.

JK ELITE LCG Elite LCG JK 6” Long Arm Suspension System

The TeraFlex Elite LCG 6” Long Arm System is the ultimate in both style and performance. Long-term testing yielded intense, inclusive, detailed suspension geometry engineering and development, to provide optimal handling and performance. Some major suspension areas that were addressed include: Anti-dive for proper front braking, Anti-squat for proper power to wheels suspension movement, and several improvements to the front and rear roll centers. The Elite LCG features adjustable tuning, and is accomplished through fully adjustable upper and lower long FlexArms that allow pinion, caster, anti-squat, and tire position configurations to be modified.

The core of the Elite LCG Long Arm Kit is found in the heavy duty bracketry— precision CNC cut and formed from ¼” steel plate with fully gusseted and reinforced welds. The simple design is incorporated flawlessly with the frame and provides OE streamlined styling. Simple, straight forward installation is handled with frame locating holes in all bracketry prior to stitch-welding the brackets in their permanent location. Lower FlexArms feature 2” OD x .281 wall DOM with fully welded heavy duty bushing eyelets for superior rigidity and durability against the rocks. Note: Driveshaft modifications are required on all JK Wranglers & Unlimiteds with this suspension system. This kit is designed to fit up to 38” tires (aftermarket wheels with 4.5” backspacing or less is required). Fits 4 door JK Wranglers. Not recommended for 2 door JKs - will cause extreme driveline angles.

NOTE: Advertised lift heights do not imply actual final lift height, use these lift height descriptions as an average lift height that may be achieved between the front & rear of the vehicle. Other variables will also alter the final actual lift height such as well winch, aftermarket bumpers, and full-size spare tire, loaded cargo weight, etc.

SPRING HEIGHT MEASUREMENT AND FRONT RAKE ADJUSTMENT The JK Wrangler comes from the factory with a pre-determined amount of front rake (the front end sits lower than the rear about 1.5°). We have designed our front coil springs to eliminate this factory rake. This means that a lift kit after installation when measured & compared to factory measurements will be lifted more in the front than the rear, to level out the vehicle. In addition, we estimate that additional aftermarket components will be added to the vehicle (such as a winch, bumpers, racks and larger spare tire). We attempt to have our suspensions sit at or close to the

advertised lift height with all of the aftermarket components included on the vehicle. This means that each vehicle may not perfectly match the specified lift height. Please take this into consideration when measuring the actual lift height that you achieve with our JK suspensions. We also offer a wide range of leveling spacers to adjust the JK ride height to suit your unique requirements. Note that 2 door JK’s will experience about 1 inch of additional lift than the 4 door JK’s with the same lift springs.

JK FORGED S/T SWAYBARS JK Dual Rate S/T Swaybar

The Dual Rate features two torsion bars, one for heavy duty highway handling and one tuned for off road articulation. The trail swaybar offers some resistance, but just enough to limit excessive body roll when in off camber and sidehill situations. To disengage the swaybar with the S/T system, simply twist a knob and you are on your way. To re-engage, rotate the knob again and the swaybar will self engage when the vehicle is level. The heavy duty street swaybar is designed to offer more resistance than the stock swaybar for superb highway control and handling. The torsion bar is constructed of 35 spline, heat treated 4130 chromoly steel for fatigue resistance.

The trail swaybar is designed to offer the perfect amount of anti-roll when off road. This keeps the Jeep® stable and allows side hills and off camber maneuvers without loss of vehicle control. Constructed of 22 spline, heat treated 4130 chromoly steel.

The Dual Rate S/T features an internal bushing that allows both swaybars to rotate independently of each other when in the trail position. The bushing eliminates any play for tight working tolerances.

The forged high clearance swaybar arm allows for maximum wheel travel during articulation and eliminates most tire interference with the swaybar. The forged arm increases overall strength, especially side loading situations during articulation.

TJ PRO LCG The TeraFlex PRO LCG suspension system is designed for the aggressive off road enthusiast that wants the best suspension performance for both rock crawling and high speed performance. The PRO system allows the vehicle to tackle the toughest rock crawling trails of Moab, and speed on the dunes at Glamis with balanced suspension movement. MONSTER FLEXARMS

We set the standard in Wrangler performance with our adjustable FlexArm that offered performance features never before seen. We have now delivered the next generation of control arms and components with our Monster Series HD Rod Ends. We designed a superior FlexArm that addressed and solved some of the limitations of our original FlexArm. The new Monster FlexArm offers superior tubing strength and the largest interchangeable and rebuildable ends ever. TeraFlex Monster FlexArms are available in three different end options to meet the needs of the daily driver to the extreme trail vehicle. The three different end options include—rubber bushing, steel rod end, and urethane rod end. The Monster ends feature a shank that is 5” long for maximum adjustability and strength (the industry standard 1-1/4” heim has only 1-1/2” of shank). The one-piece forged ends provide 2” of total adjustment. This makes it possible to have up to four inches of fine tuning per arm for adjustment to get your suspension set up the way you need it. A greaseable Zerk keeps the joints properly lubricated preventing seizing under the most dirty and muddy situations. The arms are constructed of 2” or 1-3/4” diameter .281-wall DOM tubing. The Monster arm ends can be utilized as a replacement or upgrade to many popular control arms that utilize a 1-1/4”, 12 threads-per-inch heim joint end. Custom ‘Builders Corner’ tubing is available in lengths of four-inch increments.

TeraFlex Monster Arms have five inches of total thread length. The industry standard 1-1/4” rod end has only 1-1/2” of thread length. This additional length allows for up to 4 inches of custom FlexArm length adjustment. TeraFlex Monster FlexArms offer the ultimate in performance, durability and strength. The urethane and steel rod ends provide a full 30 degrees of misalignment for maximum range of motion as the suspension cycles.

Interlocking fingers provide a flowthrough grease channel for proper lubrication to maximize bushing life. Vibration dampening polyurethane material reduces road noise, eliminates clunks, and keeps proper position for maximum articulation during travel.

The high strength forged housing is CNC machined to exacting tolerances for ultimate performance and durability. Zinc plating will ensure that these tolerances are maintained and preserved for the life of the rod end. Standard 1-1/4” x 12tpi threads.

LOW18 This kit replaces the stock output shaft of the Dana 300 transfer case (1981-86) with a heavy-duty output shaft. The new shaft is better suited for high-torque and high-stress situations because it is thicker and stronger. It is great when combined with the Low300 gear set because of its additional strength.

The 4.0:1 gear reduction planetary is the heart of the HD 231 transfer case. Our planetary features a hardened steel housing and gears. TeraFlex is still the only aftermarket company to offer a low range gear conversion for the 231 transfer case. Because of the additional gear reduction when in low range, engine RPMs should be kept under 2500 (remember the planetary is turning at 4 times that rate 2,500 x 4.0 = 10,000 RPM). Severe transfer case damage can occur if this RPM warning is not observed.

NP231 COMPONENTS 231 Short Shaft Kit

The Extreme Short Shaft kit is what short wheelbase Wrangler owners have been dreaming of for decades. The Extreme kit not only improves on strength, but also increases driveshaft lengths by up to 7” over a stock application. It is over 3” shorter than a standard SYE kit, and 1-1/2” shorter than an ATLAS II. The Extreme SS kit comes with all necessary components to modify the stock 231 case. Speedometer readings are transferred through a tone ring and electronic sensor. To adjust the calibration a converter box is necessary to make any calibration adjustments. Extreme Short Shaft Kit

The Extreme Short Shaft kit does not use a cable-driven ‘speedometer gear’ to calibrate the speed of the vehicle. It uses a digital signal reading (similar to 03+ Rubicon). This allows a more accurate reading. The chart below gives you the configuration of your vehicle by comparing tire size and axle ratio. If your selection of tire size and gear ratio do not yield a result that is within the green acceptable range a converter box will be necessary to make any calibration adjustments. Factory speedometer variances are ±3%. The green highlighted area indicates the acceptable range within factory specs. Anything outside of this range may require some additional calibration using a converter box.

231 Short Shaft Kit This short shaft kit, or slip yoke eliminator, with the new, heavy duty shaft is engineered to withstand the increased torque (50% increase) generated by extreme reduction of the Tera Low231. The kit also eliminates the need to lower the transfer case in most cases by increasing the rear driveshaft length by four inches. It includes a larger output bearing and rear housing. Changing your ring and pinion ratio and/or tire size will cause an inaccurate reading of your speedometer. Replacement of the speedometer gear is a simple procedure that takes minutes to complete. The chart below lists ring and pinion ratios and tire size. Simply select the proper configuration of your vehicle from the chart. An accurate speedometer reading is important both on and off road when detailing travel routes and for on highway safety. Factory speedometer variances are ±3% from actual speed. Recommended speedometer driven gears are based on a manufacturer’s published tire specs for revolutions per mile. This may differ from manufacturer to manufacturer.

DRIVESHAFTS & COMPONENTS SLIP YOKE ELIMINATOR COMPARISON Most 231 transfer cases came from the factory with a slip-yoke rear output (see the bottom photo). This slip yoke will slip in and out of the rear of the transfer case as the suspension cycles up & down. When driveshaft angles are changed due to suspension height or suspension travel the slip yoke is forced to operate at an angle and can cause binding, and in some situations will crack the case.

TERA CRD60R

The CRD60R provides high clearance for the trail, reinforced bearing caps for added strength, and a custom mounting pad on top for three- or four-link suspensions or torque control struts, and Constant Radius Design provides high ground clearance that is unaffected by pinion angle adjustments. The CRD60R’s front pinion bearing pocket has a renewable oil reservoir that replenishes as you drive and keeps a reserve of oil that constantly bathes the pinion bearing in cooling oil, something that no other high pinion axle can offer. Oil from the ring gear creates a halo in all differentials and does not fling until higher speeds are reached. The CRD60R has a built in “skimmer” that cuts the halo and forces oil up to the pinion bearings. Maximum housing oil capacity (over 3 qts.) ensures cool operation for extended highway driving. The front pinion bearing is larger than any axle on the market today. This feature helps the pinion carry the heavy loads placed on it in rear applications.

The CRD60R axle allows the use of a larger higher load bearing while still maintaining the factory seal. Other ‘high performance’ axles use a standard front bearing. However, in rear applications, this bearing receives the highest load. The oil seal is easily removed for easy gear set up.

The CRD60 incorporates a unique finned housing to further aid in cooling the differential when used in long term or highway applications, a commonly neglected area with other differentials. The fins also provide structural rigidity to the differential.

The CRD60R’s CRD smooth bottom design provides the most ground clearance and is virtually unaffected by pinion angle, allowing it to glide over rocks and obstacles. The rotated cover line allows higher pinion angles without risk of damage.

The CRD60R incorporates a cast oil skimmer in the center section to increase oil flow to the pinion bearings. Tera’s exclusive skimmer forces maximum lubrication at essential points of the axle to help ensure durability.

Multiple trackbar mounting points allow you to fine tune your rear suspension tuning for proper roll center and to help adjust for return to center handling. The multiple mounting holes are compatible for all sizes of lift height from stock to 7”.

The control arm bracketry is cut and formed from 1/4” steel for superior strength. It also features multiple mounting locations to fine tune suspension handling. Notes: •This kit does not work with ABS sensors. You will not be able to install the ABS sensors into the disc brake mount backing plate. •Some factory Jeep® 15” Wheels may rub on the caliper. Do NOT operate the vehicle until you confirm adequate caliper/wheel clearance. •We do not make any DBK to fit factory Jeep® axles built prior to the YJ Wrangler, except for the XJ Cherokee axles •The years between 1987 and 1991 are the dark years where anything is possible from Jeep®, so check the bolt pattern with the drawing before ordering a kit •The DBK-JE and DBK-F share many parts, with the preload ring being the major difference. The Jeep® preload ring p/n 862-6 is 2.85 O.D. The Ford preload ring p/n 863-6 is 3.105 O.D.
