Greetings Good Morning Ma’am  Good Morning Class! 2. Checking of Attendance (The student’s will answer)  Who is absent for today? 3. Review Let us review our last topic last meeting. So what is our last topic last meeting, Mr. Jocson?

It is all about Morality Ma’am

Okay thank you Mr. Jocson. What is Morality? Mr. Villanueva)

(Mr. Villanueva will explain)

Okay Very Good. B. Presentation A. Motivation So before we start our lesson I want you to prepare 1/2 sheet of yellow paper crosswise. In your own idea or insights, How you define Valus? I will give you 3 minutes to finish that. B. Discussion Let us now proceed to our new topic for today. So class, Our topic for today is all about Values formation and You. So as mentioned in Lesson 4, to be moral is to be human. Living the right values humanizes. These are the questions that you may raise at this point is.   Is there such thing as right, unchanging and universal value?   Is a right value for me also a right 

value for you?   Are the values that we, Filipinos, consider as right also considered by the Japanese, the  Americans or the Spaniards as right values?   Or values dependent on time, place and culture? There are two varied question

depending the camp where you belong. Will you read (choose a student) The values of Love, Care, and Concern for our fellowmen are values for all people regardless of time and space. Transcendent Values, will you read (choose a student)

Idealist group, there are unchanging and universal values. Idealist is someone who envisions an ideal world rather than the real one.

Transcendent values remain unchanged between unchanging times. They remain to be a value even if no one values them. (the student will give idea)

Okay thank you.  Any idea? (choose (choose a student) Very Good.  Any question question class?

Next is Relativists, will you read? (choose a student)

(the student’s will answer)

Relativists claim that there are no universal and unchanging values. Values

are dependent on time and place.

The values that our forefathers believed in are not necessarily the right values for the present. Example: What the are British consider as values not necessarily considered values by Filipinos. (the student will give idea)

Thank you. Any idea? (choose a student)

(the student’s will

Very Good.

answer)

Any questions questions class? Values are taught or caught. Will you read? (choose a student)

Thank you. Next will you read? (choose a student)

Our position is that values are both taught and caught. If they are not taught because they are merely caught, then there is even no point in proceeding to write and discuss your values formation as a teacher here! Values are also CAUGHT. We may not be able to hear our father’s advice “Do not smoke” because what he does (he himself smokes) speaks louder than what he says. The examples of good men and women have far more greater influence than values lectures delivered by experts. (the student will give idea)

Thank you. Any idea? (choose a student)

(the student’s will answer)

Very Good.  Any question question class?

Values have three dimensions.. Will dimensions you read the first one? (choose a student)

1. Cognitive Dimension We must understand the value that we want to acquire We need to know have to live by that value.

(the student will give idea)

Thank you. Any idea? (choose a student) Very Good.

2.  Affective Dimension Dimension It is not enough to know what honesty is or why should be honest.

(the student will give idea) Next, the second one will you read? (choose a student)

Thank you. Any idea? (choose a student) Very Good.

3. Behavioral Dimension Living by that value is the true acid test if we really value honesty.

(the student will give idea) Will you read the third one? (choose a student) (the student’s will answer) Thank you. Any idea? (choose a student) Very Good  Any question question class?

Next is, Value

Your value formation as a

formation includes formation in the cognitive, affective, behavioral aspects. Will you read? (choose a student)

teachers willthree necessarily include the dimensions. You have to grow in knowledge and in wisdom and in your “sensitivity and openness to the variety of value experiences in life” (the student will give idea)

Thank you. Any idea? (choose a student) Very Good.

Next, will you read? (choose a student)

“Avoid loud and aggressive persons; they are vexations to the spirit” Instead Join community immersions where you can be exposed to people from various walks of life.

(the student will give idea)

(the student’s will answer)

Thank you. Can you give any idea? (choose a student)  Any question question class? Next is, Value formation is a training of the Intellect and Will. Will you read? (choose a student)

Your value formation in essence is a training of your intellect and will, your cognitive and rational powers, respectively. Your wills will to act on the right value and wills to avoid the wrong value presented by your intellect. “The intellect proposes a nd the will disposes”

(the student will give idea)

INTELLECT - It distinguishes a value and presents it to the will as a right or wrong value. Thank you. Can you give any idea? (choose a student) Very Good. What is Intellect? Will you read? (choose a student)

(the student will explain)

WILL - Wills to act on the right value and wills to avoid wrong value presented by intellect.

Thank you can you explain? (choose a student)

(the student will explain)

What is Will? Will you read? (choose a student)

  Formation of Ideas   Judgement   Reasoning

Okay thank you. Can you explain will? (choose a student) Necessary that you develop your intellect in its three functions. Will you read? (choose a student)

How can you train your will to desire the desirable and act on it? Will you read (choose a student)

 Any questions questions class?

 

Learn how to control yourself it must be essentially selftraining don’t be influenced to do any vice because more urgent motives must not undergo a kind itoflessens atrophy through disuse man’s responsibility to take care of himself.
