Pharmacological Actions: a) Major Ingredients: Cylindrine, arundoin, femenol, potassium, calcium b) Actions: • The aqueous infusion exerts a significant diuretic effect and lowers blood pressure in experimental animals • Hemostatic effect: Shortens clotting time and bleeding time, decreases the permeability of blood vessels, and promotes the formation of fibrinogen • Antibiotic effect: Has a strong in vitro inhibitory effect against staphylococcus aureus and bacillus dysenteriae Notes: Bai Mao Gen (white grass) has the advantage of promoting urination without damaging Yin

Invigorates Blood, Promotes Qi Movement, and Regulates the menstruation a) OB/GYN disorder: dysmenorrhea, amenorrhea, difficult labor, lochioschesis, retention of placenta, still birth due to Blood and Qi Stagnation b) Internal medical problems: Qi and Blood Stagnation of angina pectoris, chest pain, and abdominal pain, anemia, bone spur, spinal bone hyperplasia, thromboagitis, obliterans, and leukocytopenia c) Trauma 2.
