TORQUE CONVERTERS

Spicer Clark-Hurth offers a total of eight different transmission series — each designed with features and options specified to application requirements. From smaller powered equipment to severe heavy-duty machinery, Spicer Clark-Hurth transmissions are designed with capacity to maximize vehicle performance and reliability.

Spicer Clark-Hurth torque converters teamed with the appropriate transmissions provide high operating efficiency for virtually any application. Spicer Clark-Hurth offers 36 torque converter wheel configurations with stall torque ratios to match most engine requirements. Although mounted remotely, Spicer Clark-Hurth torque converters are an integral part of the transmission.

ELECTRONIC CONTROLS EGS — Electronic Gear Selector Spicer Clark-Hurth’s EGS is designed and engineered to provide a smooth, efficient shifting operation and is available on most transmissions in either a twist grip or a console model. The EGS offers drive-line shift control and ease of use that have previously been available only through more sophisticated electronic equipment. The EGS’s predetermined gear selection allows the driver to concentrate more fully on the vehicle task and, at the same time, it protects the drive-train from operator error or misuse. APC100 — Automatic Powershift Control  The APC100 is available as an option with all transmission models. It greatly improves vehicle and operator performance by allowing the transmission to shift automatically at the predetermined programmed speeds and load points needed for specific vehicle duty cycle operations. This frees the operator to concentrate on the machine task rather than on the mechanical function of the drive-train.  The APC100 protects the durability of the transmission and drive-line by reducing “shift shock” that can occur with manually selected direction changes and gear shifts at high engine speeds. It also prevents overspeeding of transmission internal components when downshifting. MOUNTING CONFIGURATIONS

Engine Mounted — Flex Plate Drive  The T Series is an integral transmission and converter assembly mounted directly to the engine. As a single compact package, it minimizes external piping and eliminates a drive shaft.

Mid-Ship Mounted  The MT Series is an integral transmission and converter assembly mounted remote from the engine. This assembly allows for installation flexibility while minimizing external piping.

Long Drop 1-33000-3

T33000 Series 180 to 270 hp (135 to 202 kW) PROVEN, DEPENDABLE POWERSHIFT TRANSMISSION The Spicer Clark-Hurth T33000 Series is designed for vehicles used in construction, logging, underground mining, material handling, and other industrial applications. Design Features • 2, 3, 4, and 6-speed Full Powershifted • 11", 12", 13" Converters w/ #3 flywheel housing. Flex plate drive: 11.38", 13.12", 13.50" B.C. • 14", 15", 16" Converters w/ #1 flywheel housing. Flex plate drive: 15", 16", 17" B.C. • Helical/High contact ratio gearing • T33000 options

Inching A hydraulic or manually controlled inching option is available for vehicles requiring precise movement at high RPMs.

Converter Lockup Available as either manual, electric, or automatically controlled, lockup provides greater long-haul horsepower and increased fuel efficiency.

Axle Disconnect For vehicles that require extensive road travel, the front or rear axle disconnect options offer increased road speeds and decreased tire wear.

Hydrostatic Drive Mounting For vehicles utilizing a hydrostatic drive, the T33000 can be fitted to a pump to provide three- and four-speed shifts.

Modulation A clutch modulation valve provides smooth forward to reverse shifts, allowing increased operator productivity and drive-line protection.
