2012-2014 – Senior Vice President, Community Development Lending Manager: 

ENHANCED OPERATIONAL EFFECTIVENESSS: Leveraged deep industry knowledge to establish and lead Community Development Lending and Investing efforts for a $13B regional bank, including creation of credit and investment policies. Formulated strategic plan to formalize process for managing tax credit investment portfolio, secondary support and funding sources for long-term debt, FHLB AHP grants, and operation of the Bank’s CDE. Efforts directly contributed to Bank’s success in raising CRA Lending Rating from Low Satisfactory to High Satisfactory.



MAXIMIZED PROFITABILITY AND MARKET FOOTPRINT: Positioned new Community Development Lending group to generate funding commitments for six LIHTC developments with $39.7M in debt and $46.3M in equity, providing 337 new / rehabilitated affordable living units across five states, as well as two FHLB AHP grants totaling $775K. Furthermore, established formal proprietary fund and limited partnerships with three syndicators (42 Equity Partners, R4 Capital, Enterprise Community Investment).

2009-2012 – Senior Vice President, Florida Credit Services Manager: 

ACTED AS PERFORMANCE LEADER AND DRIVER OF CHANGE: Created and provided leadership to a team of 60+ associates, overseeing a $1.6B portfolio (commercial loan assets and OREO acquired through four failed bank transactions under Loss Share Agreements with the FDIC). Served as a valuable resource and partner during the integration process, building confidence with newly acquired customers and mentoring teams to embrace new organizational culture – essential to continuous improvement and seamless adoption of best practices.



ESTABLISHED LOAN WORKOUT CAPABILITIES TO MAXIMIZE INVESTMENT RETURNS: Led problem loan resolution strategies to achieve maximum recovery and minimum collection expense across the portfolio. Key driver in fostering performing existing relationships within the portfolio, restructuring and pricing to ensure retention and profitability, identifying cross-sell opportunities, and creating an overall positive corporate brand image. Diligent Loan Workout processes and documentation resulted in significantly lower level of losses than originally anticipated by the Bank and positioned the region as a benchmark in operational excellence.

SERVED AS A BUSINESS TRANSFORMATION EXPERT: Orchestrated aggressive restructuring of troubled Bank assets in a stressed financial market. Led all business activity of a $145M Banking franchise comprised of three retail branches, with 17 employees and 9 direct reports. Provided guidance on Workout strategies for a $52M problem loan portfolio, while managing a $90M in performing assets. Effectively engaged in positive dialogue to retain business confidence and a productive working environment.
