2; VIE 4 SPA-E FRAME 4 SELE-T FLOOR  This option allows ?ou to select specific floor for obser>ing #etails in / >iew. In this selecte# floor ?ou can chec@ sections loa#ing etc. ,hen ?ou select this option following #ialog bo) comes on screen.

2/ VIE 4 SPA-E FRAME 4 ROTATION This option allows ?ou to rotate the / >iew of structure is reuire# #irection to see the #etails. For rotation of structure ?ou ha>e two options as below. otate about * an# 4 A)is O - This comman# rotates the structure aroun# * an# 4 a)is. Select this option an# clic@ on screen as ?ou change the cursor position the structure will rotate accor#ingl?.  This icon will acti>ate rotation about * an# 4 a)is. otate about B a)is O- This comman# rotates the structure aroun# >ertical B a)is. Select this option an# clic@ on screen as ?ou change the cursor position the structure will rotate accor#ingl?.  This icon will acti>ate rotation about B a)is.

2' VIE 4 SPA-E FRAME 4 LOAD PATTERN DISPLA< This option allows graphical #ispla? of the loa#ing on structure in / >iew. ,hen ?ou select this option ?ou will get following #ialog bo).

In this #ialog bo) ?ou ha>e to select the loa#s which ?ou want ST8S to #ispla?. If ?ou select ea# loa# an# 0i>e loa# un#er Slab to beam loa# ST8S will #ispla? those loa#s. For other elemental loa#s select general loa#s option. ,all loa#s will #ispla? loa# on walls. If ?ou ha>e gi>en line an# point loa#s on slab options for #ispla?ing those loa#s is also gi>en. 8n#er no#al loa#s ?ou can #ispla? earthua@e loa#s win# loa#s an# general no#al loa#s. If ?ou want to enlarge the graphics of #ispla? of loa#s ?ou can change the scale factor accor#ingl? the loa# #iagram will be mo#ifie#. Clic@ @ button to acti>ate the selection. Clic@ Cancel to en# the comman#.  This icon will acti>ate loa# pattern #ispla? comman#.

25 VIE 4 SPA-E FRAME 4 SELE-TION This option allows selecting elements to >iew their #etails. The selection can be #one b? two wa?s. 1$ 7? selecting elementsO - 8sing select element ?ou can select those elements of which ?ou want to see #etails.

 This icon can be use# for selecting elements. %$ 7? win#ow selectionO - 8sing win#ow selection ?ou can select number of elements in single comman# in particular area.

This icon can be use# for win#ow selection of elements. The selecte# elements will be #ispla?e# b? #ifferent color on screen. After selecting elements ?ou will ha>e to use acti>e comman# e)plaine# in coming pages.

27 VIE 4 SPA-E FRAME 4 A-TIVE This option allows >arious functions of selecte# elements to >iew their #etails. The acti>e comman# can be use# for >arious options as below. Acti>e all is gi>en to acti>ate all elements. This can be use# after selecting few elements to #iscontinue this comman#.

This icon can be use# to gi>e acti>e all comman#. Acti>e selecte# is use# to #ispla? the selecte# elements onl?.

 This icon can be use# to gi>e acti>e selecte# comman#. Acti>e pre>ious option is use# to acti>ate the pre>ious selecte# elements  all elements  before selecting them.

 This icon can be use# to gi>e acti>e pre>ious comman#. Inacti>e option is use# to inacti>ate the selecte# elements. Those will not be #ispla?e# on screen.

; MODIF< ; MODIF< 4 BUILDING 4 SLAB 4 -ONVERT TO DU-T 7? using this option ?ou can con>ert an? slab to #uct. To select this option path is gi>en  below.

After selecting slab to be con>erte# to #uct right clic@ the mouse button. ST8S will #ispla? a #ialog bo) for confirmation of #eleting the slab as shown below.

If ?ou clic@ on L option that particular slab will be #elete# an# #uct will be forme#.

;2 MODIF< 4 BUILDING 4 SLAB 4 REGENERATE SLAB ID 7? using this option ?ou can regenerate the slab Is. If in case ?ou ha>e same Is to #ifferent slabs that time ST8S will not allow ?ou to #elete those slabs as well sa>e this buil#ing. In such particular case use this option to regenerate the slab Is. 4ou ha>e to gi>e this comman# for all floors separatel? to come up of the error.

;; MODIF< 4 BUILDING 4 ELEMENT 4 DROP DEPT FROM FLOOR LEVEL This function is use# to change the beam le>el for #etailing purpose. If in case an? beam is reuire# at lower le>el that time ?ou can use this comman#. After selecting this option select the element which ?ou want to #rop from #efault le>el. n right clic@ing the mouse button ?ou will get following #ialog bo).

(nter the >alue of #rop. Clic@ on L button. In / >iew also ?ou will get this #rop reflecte#. In beam *F file the #etailing will change accor#ingl?.

;/ MODIF< 4 BUILDING 4 SEAR ALL 4 MODIF< 8sing this option ?ou can e#it the wall name the gra#e of concrete attache# to an? specific wall or the thic@ness. n selecting the option o#if? -' 7uil#ing -' Shear ,all -' o#if? option ?ou will get the following #ialog bo) #ispla?e# on the screen.

8sing the #rop #own combo bo) ?ou can select the wall which ?ou want to mo#if? an# change either the name or the gra#e of concrete or thic@ness for specific floor. Select Appl? button to appl? the changes. The thic@ness can >ar? for #ifferent floors as columns. Select L option to mo#if? these changes an# select cancel option to cancel the changes.

 4ou can select this icon to mo#if? the properties of shear wall.

;' MODIF< 4 BUILDING 4 GRID NAME 8sing this option ?ou can mo#if? the gri# names gi>en b? #efault to all gri#s. ,hen ?ou select this option ?ou will get the following #ialog bo).

Through this ?ou can mo#if? the gri# names b? changing to reuire# >alues. Select the gri# t?pe then ?ou will get the correspon#ing gri# names in that t?pe. From the gri# name list select the gri# name which ?ou want to change. Press select gri# button. Then t?pe the name to which ?ou want to mo#if? the name. Press mo#if? gri# name  button to implement the change. Clic@ close button to en# the comman#.

;5 MODIF< 4 BUILDING 4 -OP< GRID NAME If ?ou want to cop? the mo#ifie# gri# names on all floors ?ou can use this comman#. After selecting this comman# ?ou will get following #ialog bo).

4ou can select the source floor from which ?ou want to cop? the names an# #estination floors to which ?ou want to cop? the names. Clic@ L button to acti>ate the comman#.

/ LOAD / LOAD 4 FLOOR LOAD This option enables ?ou to create the slabs an# generate floor loa# in case of buil#ings which are create# b? importing *F files from A8TCA. 7efore using this comman# Import the *F file from CA with line plan. Note the * an# 4 coor#inates for e)treme #iagonals between which ?ou want to create the slabs. ,hen ?ou select this option ST8S #ispla?s the #ialog bo) as shown belowO

In this #ialog bo) first enter the * an# 4 co-or#inates for starting point an# en# point  between which ?ou want to create slabs. For B coor#inates ?ou can enter height of  buil#ing till which ?ou want to generate the floor loa#. For single floor it will be ;m to / m. Then in Floor loa# name region gi>e specific name if reuire#. 9i>e the intensit? of loa# with that t?pe. Categorie it as ea# or 0i>e loa#. Clic@ on A## button. This will a## the loa# in Floor loa# list. For other t?pe of loa# again repeat the proce#ure. an# clic@ A## button. If ?ou want to #elete an? loa# from floor loa# list select that loa# an# clic@ on elete  button. n clic@ing Sa>e button the floor loa# will be generate#. ,hen ?ou select @ button the slabs will be generate#. It can be seen on plan if not shown press F5 button to get the

slabs #ispla?e# on screen. For e)actl? rectangular slab ST8S will con>ert it to rectangular for other slabs ST8S will con>ert to general slabs. 4ou can use Cancel button to cancel the selecte# comman#.

/2 LOAD 4 GENERATE IND LOAD ,hen ?ou select this option ST8S gi>es ?ou two options to calculate the win# loa# on structure. 8nless this option is use# the option for 0A - (PT - ,IN 0A is inacti>e.

B< FRAMING METOD - In this metho# ST8S computes the horiontal win# loa# on the frames an# its #istribution along floors. B< NOTIONAL METOD 4 In this metho# ST8S calculates the area an# C9 of e>er? floor #epen#ing on the geometr?. The win# loa# in * an# 4 #irection is assume# to act at this C9 of floor as no#al loa#. The C9 no#e will act as master no#e. ,ith help of aster sla>e concept an# #iaphragm action ST8S will #istribute total win# loa# from C9 no#e to all other no#es on that floor.

/; LOAD 4 REPORT 4 IND LOAD ,hen ?ou select this option ST8S generates a iew ?ou will get the option of ispla? – en#er >iew settings highlighte#. 8sing this option ?ou can change the color of bac@groun# as well of structural elements as per ?our reuirement. AS soon as ?ou clic@ on the option following ren#er >iew #ispla? setting #ialog bo) will l  be obser>e# on screen. If ?ou select an? one option li@e slab beam column etc the other win#ow for colors will be #ispla?e# on the screen. 4ou can select the color as per ?our reuirement. n L the same selecte# color will be applie# in #ispla?.

5 R-- DESIGN 5 R-- DESIGN4 SLAB4SE-TION LINES After performing slab #esign when we open the slab #esign the menu Section 0ines will  be present. ,hen we clic@ the sub option Auto generate the section lines will be generate# along * an# 4 gri#s. After clic@ing the option Auto generate another sub menu mo#if? option will be highlighte#. After generating section lines along * an# ? gri#s the menu Create Slab 0ongitu#inal Section in *F format will get highlighte#. In *F format we can see the 0ongitu#inal Section of slabs as per the gri# generate# along * an# 4 #irections. In the CC esign clic@ on the menu ispla? Setting to see the following #ialogue bo)

. iew the section lines generate# in  both * an# 4 gri#. To >iew the section lines generate# select Slab-esign S@etch Plan &iew.

4ou can mo#if? the generate# section lines b? selecting o#if? option. After selecting mo#if? ?ou will see the following ialogue bo).

For mo#ification of section lines ?ou can select * section 0ines or 4 section 0ines. Select a particular section line to see its * an# 4 co-or#inates.

Select this option to a## section line. First a## the name of section line an# specif? its * an# 4 co-or#inates an# then clic@ on to A##. 4ou will see new section line generate#.

 4ou can select this option to mo#if? the name or * an# 4 co-or#inates of the selecte# section line.

Select this option to #elete a particular section line.

After #oing mo#ifications in Section 0ine when ?ou select this option the section lines will be generate#. therwise it will generate the #efault section lines. If user #oes not want to A## or o#if? an? section lines he can choose this option.

After selecting an? particular section line when ?ou choose this option ?ou will see co-or#inates of that section line change# to ;-;.en. 4ou can select the floors for which ?ou want the report. ,hen ?ou select this option following #ialog bo) comes on screen.

Clic@ in the floor le>els of which ?ou want the report. 7? #efault all floors are selecte#.
