In our developing world, child-rearing has been be en increasingly becoming a controversial topic of discussion. While many children are sent to some famous and disciplined schools, there are also some schools where children can be themselves and naturally develop, such as S Summerhill ummerhill school. Summerhill is the best school for children to be themselves since all classes and lessons are optional. However, it is not a compulsion in Summerhill. There are, of course, views against a gainst this issue. It has been argued that no children will go to school if they are not forced to. However, personally cho choosing osing subjects  based on their innate ability and interest brings children more motivation to study. Hence, it is an ideal environment for students to develop comprehensively.   Another compelling reason is that Summerhill is not only a school but also a community where everyone can co-exist in harmony and freedom. Furthermore, they also have equal rights to vote and express their thoughts thoughts as an adult. Of course, there are contrary views which stated that children will not gain enough knowledge and cognitive development to make their own decisions and control their own lives. Nevertheless, I strongly believe that this community has the potential to shape children’s personalities, especially respect children’s right to make decisions, in the future. In the long term, Summerhill can pave the way for a more harmonious and free world. To conclude, Summerhill encourages their students to independently choose the lessons and naturally grow without any suggestion or direction, which helps children experience a more carefree childhood.
