Instructions for Summer Internship Report All the students of Integrated MBA VII semester, integrated MBA IX semester, MBA III semester have to pass the course titled “Summer Internship Project” to get their MBA degree. The course code for these semesters is MB-405, MB-473 and MB-641 respectively. The summer internship is a 4 credit course for MBA III semester and 2 credit course for Integrated MBA VII semester & Integrated IX semester and its duration is of 6-8 weeks. It will be evaluated on maximum marks: 100. The division of marks is given on following pages. One faculty guide will be assigned to each student. Student will prepare and submit his/her report under the supervision of same mentor. The project report will have to be certified by the company supervisor as well faculty guide. Students are also expected to furnish few details in the attached formats before going for their internship program. The general and specific guidelines to complete the project are mentioned in subsequent sections. I.

General Guidelines

1. The project report has to be in the printed form with font size 12 Times New Roman with 1.5 spacing. For headings use font size 14. The margins must be 1 inch on all sides. 2. The total length of report, excluding annexure, should be 50 -60 pages. Keep in mind that the length is not important, but the content is. 3. Students are required to strictly follow a uniform format for the summer internship project report. The given is an indicative format: II.

Project Report Format 1. Cover page and Title Page (Format enclosed) 2. Declaration by student (Format enclosed) 3. Certificate from the industry supervisor (Format enclosed) 4. Certificate from the university (school) mentor (Format enclosed) 5. Acknowledgement 6. Executive Summary 7. Table of contents 8. List of symbols and abbreviations 9. Introduction 10. Organization overview 11. Literature review 12. Objectives of the Project/Study 13. Research methodology 14. Data Analysis and interpretation 15. Findings and Conclusion 16. Managerial implication/ theoretical implication 17. Suggestions 18. Limitations 19. References (as per attached style) Page 0 of 9

20. Annexure (attach questionnaire used to collect data) 4. The certificate from the supervisor shall carry the supervisor’s signature and shall be followed by the supervisor’s name on company letter head. 5. The certificate from university mentor is compulsory in the given format. 6. The reference material should be listed in the alphabetical order of the first author. The name of the author/authors should be immediately followed by the year and other details. A typical illustrative list given below relates to the citation example quoted above. REFERENCES a. Students are requested to consult their respective mentors for any assistance and guidance. 8. All students have to submit two hard bound copy (black colour) and a soft copy in the form of CD (pasted at the last page) of project report to the undersigned. III.

AWARDS/ RECOGNITION:

Two best projects (each from integrated MBA semester VII, integrated MBA IX semester and MBA semester III) will be selected for award/recognition. Page 1 of 9

During final presentations two best projects will be recommended by each panel. These shortlisted projects will then be evaluated by a screening committee. Shortlisted projects will again be presented before the panel out of which three best will be selected for award/ recognition. V.
