Introduction

Developing a rich vocabulary is an important key to learning and preparing children for success in a school environment. Students who have a wide vocabulary and become independent word learners score higher on achievement tests. Parents and teachers alike will find this book a valuable teaching tool in helping students become independent word learners. Students will enjoy completing the activities as they encounter a varied vocabulary including categories, number words, science, weather, opposites, rhyming, and everyday words.
