Description

Sequence of steps to be followed for IP20N configuration. 1. Update date/time & Offset by CLI a. root> platform management time-services utc set date-and-time Note: The time here should be current date & time.

2. Upgrade software steps a. First upgrade to updated software b. In FTP setting file location will have folder name ONLY. Rest all settings same as done in IP10.

3. Then to a set to factory default.

4. Enable Inband root> platform management in-band state set admin enable.

5. Create Management Service point for each Radio port used. Without this Inband management will not pass. a. Ethernet-> Services ----- By default Service 1025 will be created in the system. b. Change the CoS of this Service to 7 and change CoS mode -> Default CoS. c. Under this service you need to create service point for each radio direction that is used. d. In the SP creation page you need to change the following parameters only i. Select Option#2 from Predefined options – MNG,S-tag ii. Service point ID – To be used in chronological order like 1,2,3… 32 iii. Service Point Name – Can be anything like Inband for Radio#4 etc. iv. Interface Location – The radio port on which Inband has to be passed v. S-Vlan Encapsulation – The Management VLAN.

6. Disable MSTP a. Ethernet-> Protocol -> MSTP -> Bridge ->General Attributes ->MSTP Enable set to False(by default it will be True). b. Once ring is closed it should be enabled & MSTP CIST settings to be done as per Ethernet ring configuration guidelines. 7. After creating management SP create TDM a. Input End i. Set the timing option as Loop.

trails.

ii. Set the local & remote as 1 & 2 respectively. b. Dropping end i. Set the timing options as Recovered. ii. Set the local & remote as 2 & 1 respectively.

8. Ethernet Configurations: Following information needs to be handy to proceed further. a. Traffic VLAN for E-Node b. DCN/OAM VLAN for E-Node In this example we have used the following: c. Traffic VLAN – 100,101,102 & 1300 d. OAM VLAN – 250 e. S-Tag VLAN 13, 14 & 15 have been used (Any VLAN which are not used by customer can be used in S-Tag). These are only internal to IP20 and will not pass to any customer port.

Site A (IP 201 in example) 1. Create MP Service with name Traffic (Rest all settings default). a. Create SAP Bundle-C on the traffic input port Slot1, Port1 i. Attach all Traffic VLANs on this SP. b. Create SNP S-Tag on the radio port. i. As an example we have taken S-Tag 14 here.

2. Create another MP Service for OAM of E-Node. Name it as OAM Enode (Rest all settings default). a. Create SAP dot1q on Eth Slot 1 Port 1 using 250 VLAN in encapsulation. b. Create SNP S-tag on relevant radio port and use another S-VLAN e.g. 15. 3. Use predefined options for all SP and only change name/interface/VLAN encapsulation. Repeat the same configuration on Site B (IP 152 in example). On this site radio#6 is facing site C so configuration is replicated accordingly.
