Steps to take Backup and restore the Backup on a typical Tejas Mux ( Using 3C Daemon software ) First , please install the 3C Daemon software on your PC.

1) Open 3C Daemon program 2) Click on ‘FTP Server’ and then on ‘Configure FTP Server’ 3) Click FTP Profiles tab on top. 4) Then create a new profile/new account as shown in image. 5) Set password, after that ‘tick mark’ all options under ‘This user can’ 6) For user directory make a new folder on your C drive. Example is backupone. It should be empty. 7) Save profile and OK. 8) DO NOT close the main 3CD window, you should see status as “listening”. You can close profile window. NOTE: Once a profile is created, you can use that many times, it will be saved permanently.

Steps to take Backup and restore the Backup on a typical Tejas Mux ( Using 3C Daemon software ) After 3C Daemon configuration, please open the node GUI and go to location shown in below screenshot. Here make the recommended entries. Click Submit. Watch the messages on the screen. If heavy traffic is there on Mux, the process will be slow. If process fails repeat the entire process again. Also try creating new account in 3C Daemon. The back up file is saved with name “config.tar.gz” inside the backupone directory on your PC.

Steps to take Backup and restore the Backup on a typical Tejas Mux ( Using 3C Daemon software ) For restoring the back up into the node, please ensure you place the “config.tar.gz” file in the user directory you created for 3CDaemon profile, example backupone. There should not be any other file in that folder. Now please go to the following path on the GUI of the node and ensure selection of the option highlighted in green circle. All other white boxes same entry is done as in case for back up. Click submit button, watch the messages on the screen.

If successful upload back to the equipment happens, then we get the following screen:

Steps to take Backup and restore the Backup on a typical Tejas Mux ( Using 3C Daemon software ) This is Last Step >> follow the instruction suggested in the below screenshot.

Typically the Mux should automatically go into “Warm Reboot” at this stage, if it does not, please go ahead and manually give a “Warm Restart” to the mux through GUI. This step should completely restore the backed up configuration files. If any technical difficulty arises please contact Tejas Networks Support Center.
