General issue 1. Application of the standard conditions: Standard fares are subject to the conditions of IATA resolution 100 and must be read in conjunction with resolution 100. Normal fares are subject to the conditions of IATA resolution 101 and must be read in conjunction with resolution 101 However, in both cases some categories are subject to LH own standards; marked with “LH” in the following text 2. Each paragraph of 100 and 101 as well as the special and normal fares rule is divided into two parts, paragraph a and b as shown below: - paragraph a contains the standard conditions - paragraph b contains governing conditions and/or reference to governing rules 3. When a paragraph is opened in a fare rule, it completely overrides the corresponding paragraph/subparagraph of IATA Resos 100/101 When a paragraph/subparagraph is omitted from a fare rule, the corresponding paragraph/subparagraph of Reso 100/101 applies.

Standard Condition for Special Fares (Based on IATA Reso 100) (LH exceptions might apply – marked with “LH”)

RU- Rule Application a) 1. Application see the fare rule 2. Fares - shown in the fares - fares only apply if purchased before departure - exception: may be used for enroute upgrading from a lower fare - provided all conditions of these fares are met - when fares are expressed as a percentage of a normal fare and more - than one level of normal fare exists, the percentage will be applied on the highest normal fare for the class of service used 3. Passenger expenses not permitted b) Governing Conditions: 1. Types of trip Circle Trip Fares, Open Jaw Special Fares, One Way Fares, Round Trip Fares

EL- Eligibility 1. Eligibility no requirements 2. Documentation not required

DA - Day/Time a) No restrictions Carrier fares rules exception: midweek and weekend periods Midweek: MON, TUE, WED, THU Weekend: FRI, SAT, SUN b) governing Conditions: 1. Midweek/weekend application The day of departure on the first international sector in each direction determines the applicable fare 2. Carrier fares rules exception Transatlantic/transpacific midweek/weekend fares: the date of departure on each transatlantic/transpacific sector determines the applicable fare

SE - Seasonality a) No restrictions b) Governing conditions: The date of departure on the first international sector of the pricing unit determines the fare for the entire pricing unit carrier fares rule exception: transatlantic/transpacific seasonal fares: The date of departure on the outbound transatlantic/transpacific sector determines the applicable fare for the entire pricing unit

FL - Flight Application (LH) No restrictions. However, specific fare rules might be restricted to travel on specific carriers or flight numbers . All fare rules need to be checked accordingly.

AP - Advance Reservation and Ticketing (LH) All special fares 1. Reservations - deadline: see respective fare rule - if not mentioned differently in the fare rule reservations must be made for the entire pricing unit in accordance with the deadline 2. Ticketing - deadline: see respective fare rule - if not mentioned differently in the fare rule tickets must show reservations for the entire pricing unit

MN - Minimum Stay a) 1. No requirement 2. Waiver of minimum stay After ticket issuance: permitted only in the event of death of an immediate family member or an accompanying passenger b) Governing conditions: The number of days counting from the day after departure, or the number of months counting from the day of departure , on the first international sector of the pricing unit to the earliest day return may commence from the last stopover point (including for this purpose the point of turnaround) outside the country of unit origin.

MX - Maximum Stay a) 12 months b) Governing conditions: The number of days counting from the day after departure, or the number of months counting from the day of departure, to the last day return travel may commence from the last stopover Last update: 19. September 2008

SO - Stopovers Not permitted

TF - Transfers a) Unlimited permitted b) Governing conditions: If there are limitations on the number of stopovers and transfers: each stopover uses one of the transfers permitted

CO - Constructions and Combinations (LH) a) 1. Constructions Unspecified through fares may be established by construction with applicable add-on amounts 2. Combinations - end-on and side trip combinations permitted - in the case of round trip special fares, one half of a fare established under one fare rule may not be combined with: - one half of a fare established under another fare rule - normal fares between the country of unit origin and the country of turnaround - notwithstanding "b" half round trip combination permitted with carrier specified fares if the carrier fare authorizes such combination, provided: - combination only permitted within the same ATPCO tariff area - combination only permitted with the same fare type the most restrictive conditions apply b) Governing conditions: 1. Constructions: see general rule 2. Combinations - when combining fares within a pricing unit the more restrictive conditions apply, this requirement shall apply to all paragraphs except paragraphs: 2) "day/time", 3) "seasonality", 4) "flight application", 9) "transfer”, 11) "blackout dates", 12) “surcharges”, 17) "hip and mileage exceptions", 19) "child/infant discount" When fares with different stopover provisions are combined, apply the maximum number of stopovers permitted and/or the minimum number of stopovers required by the most restrictive rule in the pricing unit. All other unique conditions of permissible or required stopovers; (e.g. charge, location, inbound/outbound application etc.) Of a fare used in combination shall apply only to such fare and to no other fare in the combination e.g. HAM /LH – X/FRA - CPH/SK – FRA - HAM ½ RT LH BFLEX PLUS ½ RT SK YDERTY Last update: 19. Except as otherwise specified in a fare rule a) Where end-on combination is permitted the conditions of the special fare (incl. SU - Surcharges (LH) For point of sale Argentina, Colombia, Mexico, Peru and Central American countries a Qsurcharge will be applied. For amounts please check the respective fare rule.

TR - Travel Restrictions No restrictions

SR - Sales Restrictions (LH) a) 1. Advertising and sale No restrictions 2. Extension of validity Not permitted Exceptions may apply as per fare rule or conditions of carriage b) Governing conditions: 1. Advertising and sales - sales shall include the issuance of tickets, MCOs, MPDs and PTAs - advertising: any limitations on advertisi8ng shall not preclude the quoting of such fares in company tariffs, system timetables and air guides Last update: 19. c) Sequential use of flight coupons The ticket or electronic ticket is not valid if the first coupon has not been used and will not be honored if all the coupons are not used in the sequence provided in the ticket or electronic ticket
