I have two 16x14-39 millMAX on SAG mill at BHP Billiton Mt Keith, this is a Nickel mine and not very abrasive but we won this with a head to head trial against Weir’s new MCR pump. The millMAX ran side by side to the Weir pump and went 16 months before the suction liner failed. In the same time the Weir MCR had 3 complete wet end rebuilds and was stripped 7 times for seal and shaft sleeve replacements.

 

We also ran the 16x14-39 at St Ives against the Warman 16/14 TUAH pump. In this trial we extended the wear life from 750 hours (throat bush) and 1500 hours (complete wet end) to over 2000 hours with the suction liner and over 4000 hours on the remaining wet end

We have 16 x 14-39 millMAX pumps on Ball Mill Cyclone Feed and Ball Mill Discharge Applications at United Taconite in Eveleth, MN. They have been working great for ~ 10years. We also have 16 x 14-39(36) pumps on Rougher Tails service at Hibbing Taconite, also for ~ 10-years. The entire wet end lasts an average of 11,800 hours. We just pulled the first rubber suction liner from one of these pumps and it looked fantastic at 11,800 hours. I may have lasted 15,000 hours but the crew replaced it
