The College Krishna Institute of Engineering and Technology (an ISO-9001-2000 certified institute) located in Ghaziabad, is one of the premier Engineering Institutes of the Uttar Pradesh Technical University (UPTU). Founded in 1998, the college has been bagging several laurels like the UPTU’s Star Performer Award for the year 2007 and also Academic Excellence Award 2008 & 2009. KIET also became UPTU’s first & only college to have been accredited as an ‘A’ Grade Institute by NAAC in 2009. A Technology Business Incubator (TBI) has been established in our college by the Department of Science & Technology (DST) of the Ministry of Science & Technology, Govt. of India. The Mechanical Engineering Department of the college is very well equipped and has excellent and experienced faculty.
SAE-KIET Collegiate Club SAE-KIET Collegiate Club is one of the foremost technical societies of our Institute. Since its inception in 2006, its members have been participating in various SAEINDIA events & have been bringing success to the institution every year. The students and the faculty members also regularly conduct various competitions like automobile quizzes, seminars, CAD software training courses, etc. Various workshops are also organized for students to inculcate real engineering skills and their participation in large numbers is encouraged. Visits to industries and AUTO EXPO are also organized by the club.

The Teams Our teams the IMMORTALS, the INVINCIBLES and the INCREDIBLES, have the brightest minds of our college working on Main Baja, Virtual Baja and on EFFI-CYCLE, respectively. The teams have grown from being a group of engineering students to a strong conglomerate of automotive minds, raring to take on challenges. They have been through many ups and down and have come a long way since their inception. What haven’t changed are their passion for automobiles and their insatiable thirst for knowledge that is beyond their textbooks.
The Legacy We participated in BAJA SAEINDIA 2009 at Chennai. We were enrolled in its Virtual Baja competition, which required us to design, analyze and simulate a BAJA vehicle virtually using various CAD & CAE software packages. We were declared First Runners-
up amongst 37 teams from all over India, bagging a cash prize of 2 lakh Rupees. Keeping this spirit alive we had enrolled for BAJA SAE ALBAMA SERIES 2009, which involved fabrication of an actual vehicle and racing it at ALBAMA, USA. Later on, we had enrolled 2 teams- Team IMMORTALS & INVINCIBLES for the BAJA SAEINDIA 2010 event. It involved fabrication of a new vehicle and racing it at st nd Pithampur, Indore. Manoeuvrability and stood overall 8 among the 80 participating teams. The team won a cash prize of 1.1 lakh Rupees. rd
The team INVINCIBLES ranked 3 in the Virtual Design Competition, winning a 1 lakh Rupees cash prize.
Our Future Ventures We have enrolled our two veteran teams IMMORTALS & INVINCIBLES for the BAJA SAE INDIA 2011 event. A new team, called the INCREDIBLES has also been formed to participate in the EFFI-CYCLE event. Our teams will endeavour to keep our spirit of excellence alive, putting their full-fledged efforts to come out once again with flying colours.
