Elements or modules from existing packages can be combined into special purpose packages.

Heat Exchange Solutions The EasiHeat™ Water Heating Package offers energy efficiency, low maintenance and significantly reduced scaling problems, making it ideal for domestic hot water applications and a wide range of process heating duties. This complete system delivers a constant, stable temperature within ±3°F under stable load conditions and ±9°F under all load swings, for instantaneous duty, without a storage tank or buffer vessel in the secondary circuit. The system can follow the sudden and wide load changes typically found in domestic hot water applications. The EasiHeat can accommodate steam inlet temperatures up to 356°F, as well as function under low pressure primary operation for temperature-sensitive fluids.

The EasiHeat package provides instant hot water for manufacturing processes or for comfort, such as in high rise office or hotel buildings.

The self-cleaning plate design used in the plate & frame heat exchanger significantly reduces scaling tendencies. An Automatic Pump Trap (APT) option enables system operation at low or sub-atmospheric steam pressure, even when a backpressure is imposed, with minimal scaling. The package includes all traps, valves and control instrumentation for rapid installation and commissioning. The EasiHeat can be easily configured with optional steam conditioning, isolation and high limit control, and a choice of electric or pneumatic controls. A range of available pipeline ancillaries includes check valves, isolation valves, strainers and stop valves.

Pumping package featuring APT14HC Automatic Pump Trap.

Condensate Recovery From institutional HVAC condensate recovery applications to draining critical process heat transfer equipment…Spirax Sarco’s pumping packages improve performance for the lowest total installed cost. Our Condensate Recovery Packages are designed for smooth operation spanning wide turndowns. Spirax Sarco configures the packages complete with pumps, traps, valves, strainers and receivers. Our modular pumping systems are available with advanced Pivotrol® technology that improves reliability and eases maintenance burdens. Automatic Pump Trap configurations minimize footprint requirements below process equipment. The Engineered Systems Advantage expedites the installation process and delivers a quality solution.

The BDHR package virtually eliminates lost heat during blowdown cycles.

Heat Recovery Solutions The BDHR Blowdown Heat Recovery System maximizes boiler energy efficiency by capturing energy from continuous blowdown flow and generating low pressure flash steam. The BDHR recovers up to 95% of the heat energy normally lost with conventional blowdown separators, offering rapid payback, typically less than 12 months. The heat recovery system also offers flexible configuration, allowing several boilers to be connected to a single heat recovery unit, reducing capital costs. The Flash Heat Recovery System recovers usable heat energy from low-pressure or surplus steam. The system can capture both sensible and latent heat, making it ideal for installation between steam utilization points and a deaerator.

Manifold package featuring Universal Steam Trap Stations.

Manifolds & Trap Stations Spirax Sarco Steam Distribution and Condensate Collection Manifolds provide smooth, balanced flow to and from tracing lines for even heating and efficiency. Standard three-way test valves allow for startup purging, inspection, troubleshooting and trap maintenance isolation. Plus, our Condensate Manifold packages have internal siphon pipes to eliminate water hammer and provide protection from freezing. Both are available in forged or fabricated steel. When we show you the superior economy, performance and availability you get with our manifolds, you will never consider electric tracing again. Spirax Sarco configures Steam Trap Stations with the precise trap technology for your application. Strainers, either integral or in-line, protect the internals from damage and wear. Looking for easy installation and maintenance? Our Universal Steam Trap Stations package multiple components in a compact unit by means of standard flanged, socket weld and NPT connections. In critical or inaccessible applications, we can incorporate Spiratec trap monitoring technology in the package for real-time trap condition monitoring.

Custom receivers can be configured to serve major process operations.

Vessels & Receivers Flash Vessels capture usable energy from otherwise vented, low-pressure steam. Flash Vessels can be either horizontal or vertical, usually depending on the degree of steam/water separation required. Vented Receivers solve problems related to water hammering, temperature stratification, corrosion and freezing. These problems can arise when pressure that normally pushes condensate through the traps is lost, and the system stalls. Spirax Sarco Vessels & Receivers can be configured to virtually any size for the effective capture of surplus heat with smooth condensate flow.

Flow measuring and control packages offer a variety of technologies for precision applications matching.

Control Valve & Flowmetering Stations Spirax Sarco standard measurement & control packages for steam, gas, clear liquids and mixed-phase flows combine the right technologies to measure process variables and deliver target volumes accurately and consistently. With our broad product lines, we can apply the optimal components for your fluid, line size and flow range—all single-sourced from Spirax Sarco within the same package. Flowmetering Station Packages from Spirax Sarco measure volume or mass (by algorithm) and interface signals with distributed or supervisory control, with typical turndown up to 50:1. Control Valve Station Packages correct overshooting, cycling and “hunting.” These packages are ideal for applications in the refining, pulp and paper, food and beverage, plastics and pharmaceutical industries.
