House(s) of first side- FH House(s) of Second sider-OH Soya Ghar- Non-Active House(NAH) Soya Grah- Non-active Planet (NAP) Jaga Ghar- Active House (AH) Jaga Grah- Active Planet(AP) Now There are two sides of kundli 1-6 & 7-12 . The main rules are Rule No-1. If any House has no planets or has no planetary aspect then house is considered as non-active or NAH. Rule No-2. "If any house has planets then that house shall be considered as active or 'Jagta'(AH) irrespective of the side be it on left side or right. Rule No-3. If a planet (FP), being in the houses of first side (FH) and there is no planet in the house(OH) which can be aspected by this planet of first side then that planet shall be considered as NAP. Rule No-4. The effect of the planet will not go to the other house if the house of aspect is vacant. This rule is only for the effect of planet to the aspected house. Rule No-5. If no planet exist in first side that the planets of other side (OP) will be considered as non-active (NAP) for first side though they are active for the posited house as per rule no 1. Rule No-6. If the relative that belongs to the planet of house which is required to be made active for making a NAP as AP, already exists there will not be any bad effect due to NAP. Rule No-7.
