IV PROCEDURE:
I. PREPARATION: PREPARATION: 1. TOOLS TOOLS AND UNIT UNIT PREP PREPARATIO ARATION N 1.1 Prepare high pressure spray pump or vacuum machine. 1.2 Prepare air-con coil cleaner and other chemical necessary for cleaning. 1.3 Secure the area to avoid accidental spraying of chemical / liquid which might cause short circuit of power lines. 1.4 Prepare various tools various tools such as screwdrivers, close and open wrench to adjust belts, paint brush etc. 1.5 Turn off the unit and power supply.

2. CLEANING PROCEDURE 2.1 Indoor Unit cleaning (Wet type cleaning) 2.1.1
Open the evaporator and fan cover.

Prepare the pump.

Spray on the evaporator on opposite direction of air flow in normal operation using coil cleaner and let it stay for 5 - 10 minutes.

Rinse with water thoroughly until water is clear.

Check drain pipes for clogging or leaks

Install fan and evaporator cover

Turn on power and let it run.

Observe air flow (flow should not be restricted to operate normally) if air flow is not sufficient follow fan checking, adjustment and repair procedure.
2.2 Indoor Unit cleaning (Air-con enclosure filter) 2.2.1 Turn off unit 2.2.2 Use paint brush and vacuum machine to clean the filter 2.2.3 Remove filter if necessary to clean it very well 2.2.4 Re-install filter and run the unit 2.2.5 Observe air flow pressure if normal
2.3 Fan checking, adjustment and repair procedure 2.3.1
Turn off the unit.

Open fan / blower cover.
2.3.3 Check rotary blower and clean if necessary. 2.3.4 Check belt tension (free play is ¾”) by pressing with thumb finger. Adjust belt if necessary. 2.3.5
Check motor appearance and pulley. Clean, re-tighten or replace parts if necessary.

Turn on power and run the fan.

2.3.7 Check ampere reading (should not exceed specified ampere rating on the motors nameplate) and follow motor replacement procedure if requiring replacement. 2.3.8
Install fan cover.
2.3.9 Turn on power and test run paying particular attention on its air flow pressure. 2.3.10 Observe the unit for 15 minutes before leaving.
2.4 Motor replacement procedure 2.4.1 Ensure that power and circuit breakers were turned off. 2.4.2 Prepare tools necessary for the job. 2.4.3 Check motor specification mark on its nameplate (use only the same motor specification). 2.4.4 Check motor wiring connection and write down or put some mark if necessary 2.4.5 Loosen its mounting bolts / screw and pull out the motor. 2.4.6 Follow the same procedure in dismantling motor in reverse order (first to remove last to install). 2.4.7 Turn on power and test run. Check its ampere reading. 2.4.8
Turn back cover.
2.4.9 Observe for 15 minutes before leaving.
