ACTION PLAN ON SCHOOL  –  BASED  BASED LEARNING ACTION CELL (SLAC) SESSIONS SY 2018  –  2019  2019 I  – RATIONALE:

School – School  – based  based Learning Action Cell (SLAC) of Kasiglahan Village Elementary School is consistent with the procedures of the School Based Management (SBM), and the School improvement Plan (SIP), but this is more focus on the teaching  – learning  – learning process. It is a venue for continues and effective in service training for teachers’ development. This School – School  – based  based Learning Action Cell (SLAC) will provide an opportunity for teachers to sit together, review on some specific instructional concerns and discuss on topics that can solve everyday problems in the classroom. This will also serve to support the teachers for some innovative practices that would enhance their skills and competencies. Teachers will be equipped with the necessary teaching strategies and techniques in developing the children literacy and numeracy skills and attitude. II  – OBJECTIVE:   

To enhance the teachers’ pedagogical knowledge, skills and attitudes in early grades l iteracy and numeracy. To improve teachers’ ability in assessing the learners in early grades in literacy and numeracy skills. To improve the teaching – teaching – learning  learning process that will lead to improved learning among the pupils.

Organize the School Learning  Action Cell team and its members. Set the desired schedule for SLAC Identify teaching  – learning problems, its causes and solutions. Design programs and activities for the INSET. Determine the budgetary requirement.

 Conduct monthly SLAC Sessions based on the attached matrix of the SLAC.

teachers for a meeting/planning.  Orient the teachers on the goals and objectives of SLAC. Assign LAC  facilitator or leader and the LAC documenter for every session. Let the teachers list  down their teaching – May learning problems. Setting – up of the   schedule most preferred by the teachers. Preparation of  materials and other resources needed for the LAC/INSET.  Determined the required budget for every LAC session. Conduct the monthly  schedule of LAC June,20 sessions following the 18matrix of “Mentoring March, Schedule per Topic”. 2019 Regular checking of 

C. MONITORING  AND EVALUATION

Monitor the weekly  LAC sessions-its schedule, attendance, process and outputs. Assess the LAC  strategies, inputs and outputs. Provide technical  assistance to LAC strategy and process when needed. Evaluate how  learned skills from the training are applied.
