INTRODUCTION
Citrix is an American corporation that produces software designed to facilitate secure access to applications and content. Citrix offers products for Windows, Macintosh and Linux platforms.

SCOPE
This document is aimed at engineers requiring an ICA client Citrix connection to the Netact servers or a published application type Citrix connection to the Netact servers, available to the Southwood and Aricent offices.

PREREQUISITES
Citrix client can be downloaded from www.citrix.com, but most Nokia PC's/laptops should have it already installed. Also use ref: /1/ Netact details, for IP addresses and server names. Domains and accounts/passwords can be found in the NET R&D (UK) BTS Booking tool
5.
CREATING AN APPLICATION SET (PUBLISHED APPLICATION)
In this example we are creating the published application for access to the OSS3.1 system, (Ref:/1/). By creating a published application, by clicking on the icon (when complete) you will activate an application on the destination server enabling you access to the top level user interface. From your start menu, click on programs, citrix, metaframe access clients, program neighbourhood. You will get a window like the one below but probably with just the first 2 icons in, “find new application set” and “Custom ICA connections” .

From Citrix Program Neighbourhood double click on Find New Application Set.
Select Next in this first window and you will get the following one:

Enter a descriptive name for the set and then press the Server Location button.
Select TCP/IP as the Network Protocol. Press the Add button and give the servers IP address,eg, 10.8.52.120 and press OK.

Then press OK again and in the Find New Application Set window select W2K37 from the pulldown menu above the Server Location button. Note, this domain may be a different value for another WAS server. Press Next.

Select True-color for Window Colors and Seamless for the Window Size. Press Next and then Finish. A Peitsamo icon with the description you gave should have appeared in the neighbourhood window. (see diagram below)
Click it and login to the WAS with your southwtb userid, password (from the booking tool) & domain. Now a window with the published applications should appear. From here you can open the TLUI on the platform.

CREATING A CUSTOM ICA CITRIX CONNECTION
6.1
Custom ICA Connections
From Citrix Program Neighbourhood double click on”Add ICA connection”. Click on Add Custom ICA connection.
click next Enter a description for the new ICA connection, e.g, labnode01 if you are connecting to there. Click on Server location and you get the following. Uncheck default and Select TCP/IP+HTTP from the drop down list. Click on add.

Click on ‘Add’ and enter the server address. Ok, Ok
Enter your serversIP address. Uncheck defaults in next screen and select what is shown below.

Click next but do not enter anything in the next screen (just next)
The icon should now appear in the ICA window, double click on it. Userid and password from the booking tool will be required to log in. (see screens below)

Common userid is testb, see the booking tool for the password .
