Its better to keep a one side long note book for the Log-Book. In the first page of the Log-Book Prepare your Bio-Data (Include):1. Name 2. Date Of Birth 3. Date Of Joining Scout/Guide 4. Date Of Investure 5. Date Of Passing Pravesh 6. Date Of Passing Pratham Sopan 7. Date Of Passing Dwitiya Sopan 8. Date Of Passing Tritiya Sopan 9. Date Of Passing Rajya Puraskar 10. Date Of Passing Rastrapati Puraskar 11. Name Of The Scout Master & Guide Captain 12. Signature Of The Scout Master & Guide Captain 13. Signature Of The Principal (with the school seal and principal Stamp)

Always write /prepare your Log-book in a Sequence. Start with Pravesh and continue up to Rastrapati Puraskar. Under line the headings. Use sketch pens and stencils. Write the matter clearly and neatly. Use same color ball/ink pen through out the book. Paste related pictures for the topics to add color to the text. Try to draw the figures/ pictures on your own. After each test paste a Xerox copy of the certificate at the end of the part in your log book and take the signature of your Scout Master/Guide Captain to make it interesting. Cover your log book with a transparent sheet and write your name, school name, your region. In the last page of your log book write your complete address. In camps, carry your log book and other books with you. Always carry them in a small bag or a polythene bag. In case of Proficiency Badge Books do not forget to paste the Certificates for each badge (Check the dates). Do not forget to index the contents. Do not type or print the matter write it in your own hand writing. Do not copy the matter directly from the books or from your senior scouts or guides. First read it and then write what is required. Avoid carrying your log books in hands because they spoil. Do not use too many pictures and try to use less Xerox copies.
