Kaposi’s Sarcoma (KS) is a cancer which primarily is found on the skin and mouth but can also be found inside the body, in some of the vital internal organs and lymph nodes. It is known to appear in different parts of the body at the same time.

KS is unlike most cancers in that it has a very definite main cause. A virus called human herpes virus 8 (HHV8) will cause someone to get sarcomas, although most people who get HHV8 will never get KS.
