General data

Base Unit of Measure: Pulls data from Basic Data 1 Unit of issue: Unit in which the material is issued from the warehouse. Enter value, only if Unit of  issue is different from Base Unit of Measure. Production unit: Unit of production quantity. P-S matl status: The plant-specific material status restricts the usability of the material for the plant concerned, that is, it defines whether a warning or error message is displayed if you include the material in a particular function. The material may be a part under development or one to be discontinued. Valid from: Date from which the plant-specific material status is valid Production scheduler: Scheduler responsible for a material in production activity control. The production scheduler determines how capacity requirements are calculated for a material during a scheduling run. It is F4 value. It will be predefined for a particular plant & can be used for newly created materials. Prod. Sched. Profile: The production scheduling profile is copied into the order during order  creation. Profile that you can use to • specify that certain business transactions are carried out in parallel in a production order / process order (you can, for example, create and release an order at the same time, or  release an order and print the shop papers) •

trigger an automatic goods receipt

specify an overall profile for capacity leveling

Serial No. Profile: Freely definable four-digit key that provides unique identification for a serial number profile. It is predefined F4 values to be used for a material & Plant. SerLevel: Level on which the serial number must be unique. If the indicator is 1, the serial number  and equipment number are kept synchronous; that is, when master r ecords are created, the system always sets the equipment number the same as the serial number. In this way you can make the serial numbers unique on a client-wide scale. A prerequisite for this is that all material master  records have the indicator set to 1. page

In order to have No repetition of Serial No., one needs to keep the value of this tab as 1. Insp. Stock: Specifies whether the material is subject to quality inspection (without inspection lot processing) and whether a goods receipt is posted to inspection stock. The indicator is copied to purchase order items and goods receipt items as a default value. ProdVersions: A production version determines the various production techniques that can be used to produce a material. It defines the following information: · Alternative BOM for a BOM explosion · Task list type, task list group, and group counter for assignment to task lists · Lot-size restrictions and period of validity. A material can have one or more production versions. Production versions can be maintained in MRP 4 view as well.

In – house Production time in days

By entering the setup time, inter operation time, and processing time for the material, as well as the base quantity to which the processing time relates. You do this under Lot size dependent in-house  production time. By entering the entire in-house production time, this being the sum of setup time, inter operation time, and processing time. You do this under Lot size independent in-house production time.

In-house production time is independent of the order quantity.
