Rules for Determining Longevity

 RULES FOR DETERMINING LONGEVITY Jaimini gave some rules for determining the length of life. 1 rule takes into account the position of the three pairs significators in Rasi map.  These are: 1) the ruler of the 1st house (Lagna) + ruler of the 8th house; 2) + Saturn moon; 3) + Hora Lagna Lagna.  Depending on their position in the cross (a cardinal, fixed and mutable signs) Zodiac, the duration of life is defined differently. Here  1 - Chara - mobile (cardinal).  2 - Sthira - fixed  3 - Dvishabhava - common or double (mutable) sign. Long life when significators:  1. The two mobile signs.  2. In the fixed and double sign.  3. In a double and fixed. Serednyaya life when the world one pair are:  1. Mobile and fixed.  2. Fixed and mobile.  3. Two common (double) signs. Short life:  1. Mobility and Mutable.  2. Two fixed.  3. Double and mobility. Full life expectancy here (for the human map) - 108 years; short term 0-36 years, the average duration of 36-72 years and a long life of 72-108 years.  So, there are three pairs, rulers and eighth ascendant, Saturn and the Moon lagna and Hora lagna as indicators of life expectancy. If two of the three pairs indicate a gap, take it.  If life expectancy marked all three different pairs should be adopted gap marked ascendant pair + Hora lagna.  If, however, the Moon is in Lagna or seventh house, should prevail term life from a couple of the Moon and Saturn (only when the life expectancy indicated by all three couples are different).  Saturn in the final pair of leads to shortened life expectancy. However, the reduction (life expectancy) will not, when Saturn is in its own sign or is exalted. Only if Saturn - aspected or connected to the threat, it shall be cut.  Cut is usually done to a lower level of life expectancy. Thus, the average life span is very short, and short life span becomes balarishta (that is, the infant mortality rate, up to 8 years)  , Jupiter, only whether or not aspects in Lagna or the 7th house leads to an increase in life

expectancy (the level and even Purna (108 years old, full of life) will dirgha (120 years, the maximum period) under its influence. Parasara in his BPHS provides additional tips:  if the two pairs show the same length of life, it gives the long, medium or short term. However, if the third pair of two different or the same, this implies some adjustments.  For example, if all three pairs - a short life, accepted life expectancy - 32 years. And if all three pairs indicate different (short, medium and long) life and a pair of lagna and Hora Lagna indicates the length of life, then we need a different adjustment: the smallest figure in the table long life - 96 years. They provide two pairs of long life and a short one. Three different terms in three pairs, the mean length + + short cuts require very short period in the table - 96 years, 8 years, another (88 years). So says the school jyotisha, belongs S. Rule 2 from (stronger between) ascendant or seventh house owner eighth occupying Kendra (1, 4, 7, 10), panapara (2, 5, 8, 11) and apoklima (3, 6, 9, 12) indicates long, short and serednyuyu life accordingly.  This rule works unless ätmakäraka occupies the 7th or 9th house from Lagna.
