Toolkit LS 2 Fasa 1 SET INDUKSI / PENGENALAN ( 5 minit)

Fasa 2 PERKEMBANGAN (Penerokaan)

Basic knowledge: Part of Reproductive System

1. Teacher shows a video clip of funny animation. 2. Students gain idea on the topic that will be discuss today on menstruation. 3. Teacher state today’s learning objective.

Students will know the animation is a process that takes place inside female body.

Menstruation and menstrual cycle

1. Teacher shows a chart of menstrual cycle and discusses the meaning of menstruation. 2. Students identify the phases involve in the menstrual cycle. 3. Students state the duration of each phases and the whole cycle.

Students notice that the normal cycle is 28 days and have four phases.

Changes in uterus wall

1. Teacher takes out four envelopes and ask the representative to choose one for each group. 2. Students discuss in a group to accomplish the task given. 3. Students provide a model of uterus wall to show the changes in each phase.

Students create a model and describe the changes in uterus wall during the four phases.

Fertile phase of the menstrual cycle

1. Students in a group will conduct a learning walk activity, 3 stray and 1 stay. 2. Student whom stay will represent the group and others will walk around and have a visit to another group’s model. 3. Teacher ask the students to evaluate the best model and description after all.

The representative that stay will describe and conduct the Q&A session.

Solving problems regarding the menstrual cycle.

1. Teacher distribute a short quiz to be answer in less than 5 minutes of each group. 2. Students solve the quiz given and the first group with fastest and correct answer will be rewarded.

Students can calculate the next menstruation from the quiz given.
